Pleased New GRC User
What do you like best about the product?
Having everything in one space - KRIs, RCSA, compliance assessments, issues management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Policy module limited functionality and could benefit from better workflow with multi-approvals.

It is easier to finish filings. The upload feature is nice.

It can be very confusing with the linking when you don't work in it a lot.

There is currently nothing that I dislike about workiva. Looking forward to using workiva optimally in the future

Creating financial statements for various audits

What do you like best about the product?
I am able to see the status of the audit plan, drill down to a specific audit to see the status, and review work papers quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Processes do not allow for different task kick off types. In other words they have to start one after the other or all at once. Would be nice to be able to have a combination within the same process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to manage the audit plan and review work papers. Workiva allows us to be more effective and efficient in these processes as well as collaborate easily.
Workiva GRC Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is an excellent GRC tool. The platform is highly customizable and can be built and designed to accomplish just about anything you would want. Access and be permissions right down to the individual file and you can create groups to easily permission and allow access to different areas of the database. If allows you to build reports and dashboards and pivot the database anyway you want. It does take some time to really get up to speed and understand all the different functionality that Workiva offers. You really get what you put into it, if you take the time to learn all the functionality, what can build is almost limitless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that it can take some time to understand the functionality and how to link fields and build reports within the database. If you don’t understand how to give the users the correct roles and setup the correct permissions, it can result in users accidentally changing certain data or information accidentally or unknowingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us to get out of MS Excel and have a one stop shop for our inventory of risks, controls, regulations and control testing.
Simple and Seamless
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva's platform is seemless and user-friendly. If I run into an issue that I can't solve on my own, there are countless resources available instantly, and Workiva support has always been timely and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to roll forward attachments in a document with mark-up included. Currently, when a document is rolled forward, we lose all sign-offs and tickmarks. This creates additional work for our tie-out procedures.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva cuts down on duplicate work by allowing multiple documents to be linked to a single source of truth. In addition, it saves us a lot of time and hastle with the ability to prepare a digital tie-out while working remote.
Long time user and life-long advocate.
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the continual innovation and ease in use. There's support for whatever task I'm trying to accomplish, and I can trust the system to provide consistent and accurate results once the setup is completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more webinars and trainings or local trainings for users in major markets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Workiva for financial reporting and for an ongoing capital markets project. My Company also uses the Workiva Internal Audit platform.
A seamless integration of process, risk and controls
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva provides strong integration of process, risk and control data. The ability to integrate process flowcharts, narratives, along with risk assessments, control testing data, and integrated reporting and analytics provides strong tools for an overarching control management experience for the customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva’s workflow management capabilities in Operational Risk areas, especially RCSA and Issue/Event Management are still evolving and somewhat immature.

SOX internal controls testing, ERM processes, internal audit
