Intuitive Interface and Outstanding Support, But Editing Can Be Slow
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has a relatively intuitive user interface that allows quick adoption and easy usage overall. Particularly when drafting documents etc., it really functions like MS Word. Most documents can be created outside of Workiva and then uploaded into their platform, with only final changes usually needed.
However, one of Workiva's greatest aspects is that they have very responsive and helpful 24-hour customer service. They are always pleasant and quick to provide assistance that resolves any technical or adoption issues. They always promptly follow up with emails. It is secure and they provide quick Zoom share screen assistance if needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
Once a document is in Workiva, it can be a little slow to make in line/real-time edits and changes in terms of speed of cursor and edit changes (just seems a little slower than working in word or excel directly).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not sure what is currently on Workiva's roadmap. We use Workiva for SEC '34 Act reporting requirements and have been extremely satisfied. We also use it for Section 16 reporting requirements, where it is very user friendly and intuitive to use.

User-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The app is user-friendly with clear communication and seamless process flows. It’s been easy to use and helpful so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any negative feedback at this time. I’ve only used the app for two days, but my initial experience has been smooth and user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reaching out to a large group of people can be challenging, but it is an important aspect of effective communication. Ensuring that everyone receives the message clearly and efficiently requires careful planning and the right tools.
User-Friendly and Comprehensive, But Can Be Slow and Needs More Self-Service Options
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is very user friendly, with process integration being quick so that the turnaround on switching was easy. The customer support provided by Annie was very helpful. The specific SOX software is encompassing of our needs and has made testing much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workiva can be slow and can sometimes never finish processing commands. Sometimes the permissions seem wonky and some things such as adding test phases can only be done through customer support. If there was a way to mass approve requests, that would also be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps solve our SOX testing problems with coordinating across the globe. It allows many users to log into the same software and get real time results of feedback and remediation. It allows us to store our testing all in one place, allowing for audit ease.
Exceptional Customer Support for SEC Filings
What do you like best about the product?
The software is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I also use their customer support service every time I file an SEC document. They’re consistently knowledgeable and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the customer service wait time can be up to 30 minutes when calling by phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps companies monitor their teams' work and use documents as a repository. This makes it easier to keep everything organized and accessible.

Fairly intuitive use and icons. Cloud based tool.

Deep formatting requirements and confusing XBRL often.

Potential use for statutory and carve-out audit usage. Expansion into non-core reporting areas less helpful.

Great for Tracking Changes, But Needs Better Attachment Options

The ability to track changes and ability for multiple users to be in a doc at once

I can't attach documents to specific text in table cells or to photos. Also, you should partner with Canva to add more design functions to workiva.

Everyone can work on docs at the same time and it is secure/has an audit trail
User-Friendly UI with Occasional Slow Loading

User-friendly UI. Multiple teams can use it at the same time. Data privacy is great!

Nothing! Sometime it takes a little time to load.

Effective CSRD Module, But Customer Service Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The CSRD module proved helpful in overseeing both the processes and results of the double materiality assessment.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, I have found the customer service response to my questions and the resolution of issues to be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is essential that all details of a CSRD aligned double materiality assessment are captured and organized properly, both for audit purposes and for the purposes of building the CSRD report. The CSRD module within Workiva provided a useful framework for managing those details.
Great Cloud Features, But Dual Authentication and Excel View Need Improvement
