Seven years of being a customer
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva's WDESK platform allows me to easily integrate all quarterly & ad hoc financial reporting deliverables, including financial statements, press releases and earnings presentations. The platform is easy to use and is supported by a customer service team that has never let me down, no matter what problems arise, as well as a technical team that is constantly listening and making improvements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like any new system, the platform requires a significant investment of time to learn and get running. The platform works very well, however, there are still a few incidents - such as when multiple documents are open, where performance has the potential to be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The single entry point of data reduces the risk of inconsistency across multiple documents and also allows faster preparation of documents. Furthermore, the integrated iXBRL tagging is helpful not only in dealing with compliance but also in checking of data.
Workiva - WDesk 1 year review
What do you like best about the product?
We initially wanted Workiva's WDesk to solve our main problem...To keep the correct table formatting in our financial footnotes. We were using MS word and excel at the time, and they would not hold to their formatting when converting to PDF. One year later, I love the fact that everything is centrally located for ease for both the preparers and the reviewers. We don't have any issues with version control, comments through multiple emails, updates not flowing through the whole document, and table formatting issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still new to the platform and our experience has been very good. Workiva is dedicated to listening to their clients' needs and making platform improvements for the community to enjoy. I was able to suggest an improvement when we first implemented WDesk and Workiva listened!!! Shortly after my suggestion, the development team reached out to me to get my thoughts and ideas, they built out a test version, and now they are making improvements. The development team says if everything goes well, improvement will be released in the 1st half of 2024. To summarize, if there is anything that isn't up to your expectations or would like to see, just let them know and Workiva will find a solution for you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems Workiva solved for our financial reporting team:
1) Document formatting,
2) Version control,
3) Data linking throughout the document, and
4) Comments located within the platform and not buried in the inbox.
The benefits are a better-looking high-quality product and time efficiency for both preparers and reviewers.

What do you like best about the product?
My Contact Moritz is greatto work with and very helpful. Report builder team is also bery helpful and responsive when I have questions or issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a lot of helpful tutorial son bulding reports. The breadcrumb logic is not the best when building reports, its not intuitive.

report builder has made my previous need for self built macri reports in excel unnecessary.
Moritz was also able to add fields into my control testing pages so I can keep information in wdesk, rather than a seperate excel file.

Great Program to use
What do you like best about the product?
With more remote working, Workiva makes it easy to conect with coworkers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind, Workia makes things easy.

Allowing everyone to make changes no matter where in the company or at home.

What do you like best about the product?
Extremely user friendly and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
The presentations have some limitations and do not directly mirror powerpoint in some instances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEC reporting, we would be lost or have to sub contract out the filings without the tools Workiva provides.

Our client development contact, the bite-sized learning modules, ease of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing makes it difficult to recommend as a solution to smaller companies, and the platform gets overwhelmed and the "ah snap" screen comes us at least once a day.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI and how it never breaks. I can always rely on it for filing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features not available to everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us file on-time, accurate reports. This cuts down on time I have to spend filing documents as well as compliance costs.
Very good product, but

It has a good link between the word and excel fiels for financial repoting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new sync proces is clumsy, does not sink properly and very time consuming. The Wdesk sync was so much simpler and better

It is easier workign in Workiva, than maintaining the word adn excel parts fo the financial statements
Excellent Platform and Even Better Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
I likethe ease of use and collobaration tool available in Workiva. I primiarily use Workiva for SEC filings and make it easy to work as a team and leave comments for each other.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is tricky to edit items within a document and a decent learning curve for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
THe ease os use is miles ahead of its peers. The collaborating and the ease of performing SEC filings are fantastic and will continue to use and recommend to other colleagues.
