Streamlined, User-Friendly Platform with Helpful AI Features
What do you like best about the product?
I find Workiva very easy to use, especially when it comes to creating workspaces and customizing them to fit our company’s needs. The platform is intuitive, and setting things up feels straightforward and efficient.
I also really enjoy using Workiva AI—it’s been a helpful tool throughout our audits and has made several processes faster and easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
One thing to note is that there are some limitations with integrations that can take extra time. However, the helpful customer support team works closely with us to address these issues, provide feedback, and make adjustments to our workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is solving the challenge of organizing and managing complex audit, risk, and compliance data by providing a centralized, customizable workspace. This allows us to keep all RCM, ERM, and audit data segregated by fiscal year in one platform, which improves our efficiency and data accessibility.
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is easy to use. It can be learned quickly if you are proficient in Excel and Word. The customer support is quick and helpful. I like the number of features in Workiva, such as WDesk Sync, Linking, and Templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the Wdesk sync function carried over the Excel formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva is helping streamline the Financial Reporting Process for our Company's quarterly filings.
Workiva is great
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva works really well for collaboration - shows who has made changes, requires links to be published by each user before changes are flowed through each file. I like that multiple users can edit the same document and the files update with live changes which allows for more seamless collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Workiva is so expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes working on financial reporting much more seamless - the transition between Excel and Workiva translates well and changes can be made fairly easy.
Using and Reviewing Documents in Workiva
What do you like best about the product?
It works well as a central repository for preparing financial reports and allowing multiple levels of reviewers to leave comments to be addressed by the preparers. Also, the ability to control who can make edits vs having read only.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just a minor annoyance that when scrolling down on documents with a header or footer that the header/footer menu pops out from the side at inopportune times and has to be manually clicked off to read the document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a central place for review of financial reports instead of having to circulate to multiple reviewers via email.
Workiva Works
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface being familiar and intuitive to what you are used to means the learning curve minimal. Everything pushes throughout the doc at the click of a button.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the formatting can be irritating but, after a while you are able to troubleshoot fairly easily
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having to work on an offline document and trial balance which would lead to natural human error. Now that it talks to our Ledger and gets the data directly, it being the single source is a game changer.
There is quite a bit of room for improvement.
What do you like best about the product?
Collaborative environment that allows multiple users to work in the same environment. It is possible to retrieve old versions of the same document and track changes or modifications by user.
What do you dislike about the product?
I expected more from the quantitative data connection. The ESG program and task management are not developed to be an efficient environment for the data owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva allows you to solve the issue of having to use different tools for managing a single document for the ESG report.
Great versatility and easy use
What do you like best about the product?
I like how interactive it is. Everything is saved within the workiva files themselves and it is easy to follow where each number comes from in supporting tabs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like better go to functionality. With a keystroke I’d like to be able to go immediately to the linked tab and cell
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows evercething to be in one place so we can see exactly where each number comes from. Allows for all support needed for our purposes to be contained in one place
Really easy to use with a lot of features
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva is a great platform for consolidation, reports and control of activities
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little difficult for extracting the reports running inside it. If you lock some spreadsheets inside of a report, you can't extract using formulas if there's any link inside the locked sheets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can create reports and design supports for consolidation purpose in a much easier way. Inviting people to help in consolidating the numbers if there's over one entity can be easier mapping the subsidiaries into one big note

A Solid Platform with Improvements Necessary
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of commenting and sharing, linking data, and saving automatically are all very useful and easy to understand features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still many workarounds painpoints necessary to connect with external programs. Additionally the layout of some functions are difficult to find, and could be more streamlined. Customer support can be difficult to access when needed in a timely manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Commenting and updating multiple files is incredibly useful. Also providing data auditability is incredibly useful in this space and will prove useful going forward when required.
