Working with Gainsight/Northpass

What do you like best about the product?
The people! Our CSM was responsive and connected us with all the right players to get the work done.
What do you dislike about the product?
I had high hopes for reports, but maybe we have a unique use case that's hard to meet. However, the team made us some fantastic custom reports that hit the mark.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use gainsight for our customer support team's LMS. We're able to load up content, make adjustments, and assign things out as needed. We use the data to track performance.

Alliant Systems Scales Customer Training Using GainSight CE (formerly NorthPass)

What do you like best about the product?
After we completed the aquisition of Alliant Systems two years ago, we realized that there was a gap in customer training and we looked at a few options before speaking to the team at Pulse 2023. We moved forward and didn't look back, we integrated the CE platform to our Community platform and our customers have embrazed it and have taken thousands of courses in just seven months. The feedback I have received is that the platform is easy to use, so our customers use it often. I have also really enjoyed working with our Customer Success Manager Nergis Tepeli, who has always been there for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having federated search from our community. A feature I have been told is coming soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to train at scale.

What do you like best about the product?
Gainsigh Customer Education provides wonderful design options and tons of insightful analytics into the LMS platform allowing us to truly customize the user experience..
What do you dislike about the product?
What I desire most from Gainsight Customer Education is the ability to auto-create groups based on various contact objects read from the salesforce integration
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gainsight Customer Education Allows us to offer self-paced, self-service content and courses to out users while still allowing us to provide live-trainings for users who want more of an interactive environment

What do you like best about the product?
The Gainsight Customer Education team is fantastic. I feel confident they can help me meet my goals, and support is very quick. The product itself is easy to use. We were looking for an LMS with an excellent end-user experience and CE allowed us to create the custom feel we wanted. The admin side is intuitive and easy to use. The out-of-the-box course editor is pretty good and it's easy to integrate SCORM files and courses from other authoring tools.

Reports are okay. If you're more technical, the API is well-documented and it's easy to use it to pull custom reports.

The feature set is always growing; our account team listens well and incorporates our feedback into the product roadmap. The solutions team has helped us do some pretty custom stuff including integrating with other systems for our certification program and we're very happy with the result.
What do you dislike about the product?
Right now you can create custom learner and course features, but can only report on them via the API. The course editor is pretty good, but knowledge of HTML is handy if you want do something like color block sections or custom layouts (or you can use another authoring tool for this).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gainsight CE allows our customers to access self-serve, self-paced training materials and quickly skill up on our software.

Versatile learning management platform with all the insights you'll need!

What do you like best about the product?
Our team finds the insights in Northpass extremely beneficial for our tracking and monitoring of our program success metrics. We also make great use of the communication tools to have automated nudge reminder emails sent to participants enrolled in courses. We find designing courses and learning paths to be very intuitive in Northpass and with more practice, it becomes second nature. We also make use of the Hubspot integration to create custom properties for our broader email marketing campaigns. Our CS contact is also very supportive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design or web layout modifications require approval and can take a lengthy period of time to take affect. This impacts the user experience and what they are engaging with.It is difficult to get changes made in a timely manner. We have also had issues in our courses with assignment glitches and using the video milestone feature, which we have had to stop using all together. Our Hubspot integration was also not syncing properly for some time, which took weeks to remediate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us provide self-paced training opportunities for customers to learn more about our products by completing courses and learning paths.

CE is very intuitive and easy to create content

What do you like best about the product?
The onboarding process was very easy. Starting from scratch we were able to work with the implementation team to help create courses and learning paths suited for our customers. The creation process was very easy and we could create many courses rather quickly. For the end user, the design and flow of the courses is staraight forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take a while sorting throught he reports to get what you are looking for. The groups feature is a llittle clunky and can be improved. It is hard to distinguh compled and in progress courses from the dashboard for the end user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CE is helping us to train our end users on how to use our software and we are able to direct our customers to CE for their learning instead of needing to have indivual calls. It has also helped our customers with their internal new employee onboarding. We also would have customers that would not know the moduels and things that we offer and with CE is is easy for them to find and learn about the different products available.

Gainsight Customer Education - the tool our customers were asking for!

What do you like best about the product?
Our customers are happier and better users of our software due to the training we have been able to provide via Gainsight Customer Education. The product is easy to use, and implementation was easy. We are able to use it for both customer training, as well as training our own new employees.
What do you dislike about the product?
We promote our University as part of our Gainsight Customer Community platform. However, the products do not truly integrate. We were going to implement a federated search product late last year but were told that is something you would be introducing 1st half of 2024. We have heard nothing since, but still need our community users to be able to search all information available in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customers now have a way to train new employees on our software. This was one of our customer's top requests, so it has had a positive impact on our customer satisfaction. We also now have a tool to help educate customers on the features they are not taking advantage of, which has resulted in more efficient usage of our product.

What do you like best about the product?
From our first interaction with Gainsight CE, we were instantly impressed and hooked. The Gainsight team is top notch and is knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. The product is a dream to work with and has all we need plus things we didn't know we needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think providing honest, constructive feedback is important. I've thought about this a lot and I cannot think of one dislike thus far with Gainsight CE!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a new LMS that had the ability to integrate with HubSpot. Gainsight CE not only checks this box, but has so many other features and benefits that we hadn't even thought of.

An amazing tool for hosting customer education content!

What do you like best about the product?
The biggest upside of using Gainsight CE is that there is a wonderful team supporting us! Nergis Tepeli, our Customer Success Manager, has been extremely supportive and helpful as our team has begun using the platform. She is extremely thorough in her training, and is responsive when we have any questions or run into roadblocks. The platform is also very easy to learn and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have run into a few issues with speed - there are some workflows where I find myself waiting a few seconds for things to save, to be able to delete things, etc. It isn't anything that deters me from using the platform but it does add some time to my workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gainsight Customer Education is helping us provide structured learning content for our clients. The platform helps us disseminate learning materials in an organized way.
