Quick and Secure API Management

What do you like best about the product?
It can be deployed quite easily from a container
It is easy to start using the API and we can deploy our first API within a few minutes
Simple and easy to manage APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the pricing is quite expensive for a team of 1-10 members of a company, except that I have had no negative experiences using it for the past 3 months.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing and hosting APIs is part of my job which is greatly simplified by Kong API. It helps me efficiently manage the APIs and saves a lot of time for development.

What do you like best about the product?
First of all, there is an Open Source community in Kong and I like Open Source Software. It is very easy to manage and deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is a bit overpriced but overall a good product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very easy to manage APIs.
Also, it is very simple to deploy APIs with Kong

The great flexibility of the solution allows it to address almost all use cases of an api strategy

It is not so versatile to work with XML in the api exposure

Easy installation and management on any platform.
Highly scalable and flexible to one's needs.
Great performance and support as compared to other alternatives.

Pricing plans may not be cost-effective for small scale businesses and startups.

Kong architecture is like a monolithic system, it's not helpful in big environment

Kong resolved our problems to scale API Products, with Kong plugin our products were more confident and resilient

Best features we liked about this gateway
-Feature-rich and easy integration with Microservices application, dockerized components
- Highly Scalable for growing business needs
- Versatile security features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the downsides of this gateway
- Considerable learning curve and adoption.
- Plugins are available and custom plugin development is not very flexible
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us decouple of microservices architecture vai API design and allowed us to scale at individual component levels. Also created to our scalability needs at each component level with flexibility for configuring security options. We now serve around 17 million customers daily on new applications driven by Kong Gateway.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing that I like is the gateway API, easy and multiple options allow you to configure and be up and running in no time. I can only compare to ISTIO that I've used previously where the complex configuration made it a bit more time-consuming to set up initially.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using the container version of KONG, and maybe the only part that I dislike was that I needed 2 separate instances to handle internal and external NLB when running on AWS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This resolved the complexity of handling and creating host addresses for all APIs that we are currently hosting. The gateway is the way to go to handle all different traffic coming in and out of the K8 cluster.

Kong API is an excellent API Gateway service that allows for multi-node scaling It also grants low-level access to traffic control and monitoring of inbound and outbound traffic
What do you dislike about the product?
Kong API has been great There have been issues with support management and pricing, but these issues are minor
