Love the savings and extra time
What do you like best about the product?
It automates many of the tasks we had to do manually, which took hours a day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything negative to say except we should have implemented much earlier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It load balances and moves our vms automatically. We used to have to go into our vcenter and manually look at alerts.
Monitoring memory and cpu.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use in comparing metrics to windows profiler.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding metrics and servers when checking metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determining when to add memory or cpu.
ParkMyCloud: The best management portal for managing your cloud resources
What do you like best about the product?
I like the search feature and the UI icons that quickly indicate the server status, type, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no features that I didn't like about ParkMyCloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great Dashboard and Search features enable us to track the servers and their status.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best product I have used to manage my cloud resources.
Best in the business.
What do you like best about the product?
Turbonomic can pull information from the entire set of resources that make up my VMware environment (compute, storage, etc.) and give me a full view of everything I have and where the bottlenecks are. It can also recommend or even automatically scale services up or down to ensure the optimal configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is expensive. We could only afford to have a small number of critical VMs monitored due to the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We acquired a company with an extensive eCommerce platform that runs on-premise. The KPIs are extremely tight and we needed to ensure that the environment was sized to meet the needs of the business. Turbonomic has done all of that, providing us with proof that the VMware environment is healthy and not the reason for any eCommerce issues. As an added bonus, we connected it to the Dynatrace environment that tracks the KPIs and can show that the VMware environment is keeping the system in an optimal state.
Turbonomic not only monitors it takes action as well.
What do you like best about the product?
Turbonomic has been a great addition to our environment. A couple of features I like about Turbo is its ability to monitor the virtual environment and then take steps to correct issues before they become an issue and end-users have consequences.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't currently have any dislikes for Turbonomic. The product has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Turbo helps keep our virtual environment running smoothly. It can make adjustments to balance the virtual workload across all servers in the clusters. Turbo can also increase CPU and memory if required for workloads. On the opposite side, Turbo will notify if virtuals are over-provisioned and consuming unneeded resources.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You know the commercial where the security guard at the bank states, "He only monitors." Then the bank is robbed, and nothing done to stop the robbery. Turbonomic not only monitors, but it takes the necessary actions (that you have allowed) to correct the issues before your phone starts ringing.
Great service!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. The staff is excellent and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any issues or things I can think of right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main feature is downsizing machines to save money but also upsizing to help the underperforming ones. The great new feature is disk sizing.
Smooth transition to save costs on Azure VMs on Automation Schedule
What do you like best about the product?
Automation schedules
Deleting unused discs through UI
Changing VM SKUs to save costs.
Deleting unused discs through UI
Changing VM SKUs to save costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are waiting to work with databases more robustly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving easy money from removing unused storage, memory utilization based on 95th percentile and autmationd schedules really helped to govern cloud based VMs very securely.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can easily chip away unused discs and start into the direction of cost governance on cloud VM management.
Very good product for automation.
What do you like best about the product?
Automation, scaling VM's on the fly, reducing costs etc
What do you dislike about the product?
there are some challenges for automating stuff which can be made easier
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
scaling up and down on the Virtual machines
Good service
What do you like best about the product?
The service works as announced. If used wisely, you'll save a fair amount of money on your cloud resources. The scheduling feature is already present in Azure/AWS/GCP but only PMC can allow a team to centralize the scheduling of VMs in one single dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web UI is a little too quaint, and it would be nice to see a refresh on that side. Also, I would love to see some new mechanisms to attach schedules to VMs, e.g., by resource group names. It would also be good to extend the functionality to Kubernetes clusters, which requires more logic than simple VM shutdown.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use PMC to turn off an extensive VM infrastructure overnight, and this helps us save a lot of costs on unused resources. Besides that, this is also good for the planet!
The tool is amazing and mostly, the API is awesome. You can instrument the parking with automations!
What do you like best about the product?
Definitely the API. I could add several accounts with the API, and this made my job very quickly. The interface is great also and uses the API. Wow, point to you guys on this. The reports area is also super functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I miss is the filters for reports, relying on the CloudCredential name for filters and missing some dropdowns so we can select it easily (when you have several accounts its a bit complex)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company has a lot of accounts (both AWS and Azure) that don't have much governance on costs. ParkMyCloud helps to fulfill this gap and provide a quick view about resources that could be parked/scale down, so the cost per license is of tremendous value.
