Senior Manager/Salesforce Technical Architect
What do you like best about the product?
"Exchange" is the most functional, beautiful, easy to maintain, easy to touch and learn specifications "API specification portal" I ever seen. It works both of internal and external. NZ Post is the best example.
Filters, especially SLA based rate limiting, is very interesting function/architecture. It doesn't affect on the API implementation itself, which means API project owner can manage SLA (for money-tization) independently from developers. It will attracts customer's interests.
Deployment options are also useful and helpful. CloudHub + VPC is the most quick and realistic option, but CloudHub (only) is also useful for demo. It's always good to have trial version!
And it's java applications. Even though there is any trouble on application, we can always dive into Java class (adding our own Java class to fix the problem). It's a relief.

What do you dislike about the product?
"Exchange" needs to support multi-language (does it?)
Relatively simple logics may need dw language coding
Anypoint Studio is heavy on my PC...
It's good to have some charm points which come from salesforce acquisition...

Requirements/Needs to expose API for partners/developers on the internet. Enabling and accelerating API-led enterprise to speed up the development and induce innovation.
System owners will please to expose their APIs if it is that much easy and functional and beautiful to add in the portal site. So as developers.

What do you like best about the product?
The Feature I like the most with Anypoint platform is the "Runtime Manager". To begin with,
1)Ease of Use:- It is one of the easiest GUI I've worked with which performs complex functionalities of the server i.e deployment, logging, Managing Queues etc
2)Operations:- Anypoint platform has made it quite easy to perform operations like stop, restart the applications that are running in the worker(containers which contain the runtime).
3)Overriding of properties at the runtime:- This is one of the feature that has saved me time, this helps in switching of whole new set of properties for the application without having to touch the code and with just only restart I can altogether use different set of properties(using property files)
4)Managing of persistent Queues: This funtionality is beautifully built as it will automatically detect the persistent queues developed inside the application during deployment and also monitoring the queues realtime with what is happening is another big advantage
5)Logging: Changing the level of logging for each application makes my life much easier while troubleshooting
There are so many other functionalites I like about anypoint platform but the above five are my favourites with the experience I had with Anypoint Platform suite

What do you dislike about the product?
One feature that I find it difficult or would rather say confusing is "Business Groups". This, of course, is based on my experience with the product and others may find it easy as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1)Not having a need for physical servers
2)Easier Transaction management
3)Monitoring of persistent queues
4)Publishing of API specifications at a common place for everyone who is authorized to use and improve it
5)Easier access Management
6)Various Out-of-the-box solutions that can be implemented as policies

What do you dislike about the product?
Some times development gets tricky.
At the moment mule 4 is not stable enough and mule 3 is getting old. It is hard to decide which one we should choice.
There are some bugs in anypoint studio

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many data integration between SAP and Salesforce and Magento. Mule is a fast development tools with a good could platform.
Nice tool for quick integrations
What do you like best about the product?
The connectors definitely reduce the overhead to think about how to code for accessing an end point.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Error handling aspect is very poor, errors generated are scattered all over the place & you can't code uniformly to capture error generated by the integration. Also many a times application errors are misleading, which doesn't help trouble shoot the root cause of issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating MDM Systems with Salesforce, exposing API's, middleware EDI integration tool feeding canonical messages to downstream systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
First get the TRAININGS because ease of use is strictly based on Product familiarity.
Great product for API approach
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and design are brilliant. And ofcourse the tutorials are very informative. I being from Operations background also cleared the Development fundamental certification in first attempt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is average. Also, we have lately seen many intermittent issues with the worker threads just dying without logging anything. This becomes very tidious while troubleshooting issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exposing multiple integrations over the web like Salesforce, Qlikview etc.
Inbuilt connectors have been the strongest point for us.

The best API platform
What do you like best about the product?
I like how API management, quickly design, test, and publish APIs. Create self-service portals to make collaboration easy and drive reuse. Manage APIs. that allows developers to connect applications together quickly and easily, enabling them to exchange data. It enables easy integration of existing systems, regardless of the different technologies that the applications use, including JMS, Web Services, JDBC, HTTP, and more. The ESB can be deployed anywhere, can integrate and orchestrate events in real time or in batch, and has universal connectivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Enterprise License is very expensive and the Community Edition doesn't have many features.
MEL expression language is tricky. This language is used to learn and the examples of it are hard to find.
here are some cases where the connectors do not work as expected or their functionalities are limited. Like for file connector, we cannot use it to move a file in another directory and then remove it, another problem that I found and that must necessarily save the payload in a variable, otherwise it is lost.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's so easy to learn Mule. I have integrated solutions using other products, but by far, Mule is the best I have come across with in terms of integrating enterprise systems.
One of the best Integration Platforms
What do you like best about the product?
I like out of box connectors which makes integrator's life easy to connect to various systems.Dataweave is one of the excellent features of ESB which provides both graphical as well as programmatic view of data transformation.I also like Watermarking concept of Batch Processing which makes real time data integration easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As I'm using Batch Processing extensively for many business processes to achieve real time data integration. Many a times,I faced an issue on Batch Processsing got stuck in load phase and there was no timely support from Mule Side.
One more point is, now Mule's latest release 4 changed drastically from Mule 3 so migration process from 3 to 4 is little complex.

I have been using Mulesoft as an Enterprise Application Integration platform to connect to various disparate systems for one of our customers who is the largest US based media and news publication company.
We leveraged Mulesoft's Out of box connectors to exchange information between various systems.I have used CRM online Connector to perform the CRUD operation on different entities like Account, order,Orderline etc.I have also used Workday Connector for HCM functionalities. In order to achieve bulk processing of data with less time,I have implemented Mule's Batch Processing Component.
Earlier I was using Mulesoft Management Console for the monitoring and controlling on-prem ESB workflows but then I moved to Cloud based Anypoint RunTime Manager to monitor and analyze applications running in the cloud or on-premises.
