What I like about Mulesoft is that it is a Unified Integration Platform with API Design, Integration and Management all in one place reducing the need of using various softwares. The Anypoint Exchanges allows us to publish and reuse the connectors, APIs, templates and examples
What do you dislike about the product?
The main disadvantage of Mulesoft is that it is not very cost effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in our organization for Integration and API design/Management. Its low code feature allows us to develop the integration without much coding knowledge. The AI Design, Integration and API Management are all in one place reducing the usage of multiple software. Its seamless integration with Salesforce has made it even powerful in terms of Data Management/Integration. The Agentforce/Einstein features now can be used in MuleSoft also which gives the platform with the much needed AI Capabilities

A Powerful Tool for API-led Connectivity and Integration

  • August 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best: The platform's extensive features, particularly its comprehensive API management and integration tools, are highly valuable for connecting diverse systems and data sources. The ability to build and manage APIs effectively, along with features like runtime fabric for deployment, is a significant advantage.
What is most helpful: MuleSoft's strength lies in its ability to facilitate complex integrations, allowing organizations to connect disparate systems and data across various environments. The platform's built-in security features and governance capabilities are also crucial for managing APIs and integrations effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike:
Ease of Use:
While powerful, the platform's extensive functionality can make it challenging to learn and use, especially for less experienced users. The interface, while comprehensive, can be overwhelming at first.
Ease of Implementation:
Setting up and configuring complex integrations can require significant effort and specialized knowledge.
Customer Support:
While the platform has good documentation, the complexity can make it difficult to resolve specific issues through customer support alone, requiring specialized expertise.
Frequency of Use:
The platform is typically used for strategic, long-term integration projects, rather than day-to-day tasks.
Number of Features:
While the large number of features is a strength, it can also be a drawback due to the steep learning curve.
Ease of Integration:
While powerful, integrating new systems or data sources can be complex and time-consuming, even with the platform's connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform addresses integration challenges by connecting disparate systems, enabling efficient API development and management, and streamlining digital transformation. This leads to faster project delivery, improved business processes, and increased agility for organizations. Specifically, it helps with connecting legacy systems to modern applications, building and managing APIs

Mulesoft for creating and managing APIs

  • August 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Creating mock api in mulesoft to integrate with FE so that FE is not dependent on BE , and once BE logic is ready we can replace mock API with actual api in FE without breaking anything.
2.RAML creation , as having a design of api along with api endpoint, structure, api response gives developer and non IT person an idea about the actual api , it also helps in identifying any missing features ,or keys which was crucial for FE to populate data.
3. Automatic API Documentation which is very user interactive and helps a lot while working with multiple team and we have to share data amongst them.
4. Right from Raml creation to creating mock api is easy to implement
5. On an average while developing a new feature mule is used frequently to refer RAML docs and mocking data
6. It is very easy to integrate with git, jenkins for automated deployment plans along with drag and drop connectors to configure it in UI.
7.It has dedicated customer support for enterprise customers which helps in troubleshooting anything within TAT
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing fee is little bit expensive which makes it ideal choice for large enterprise where budget is not a concern
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1.It accelerate development by allowing frontend and backend team work in parallel with RAML
2.Reusable components and connectors cut the development time significantly.
3. Helps in creating well documented ,consistent and versioned api which helps QAs(Quality assurance testers) to perform testing thoroughly without reaching out developers each time.
4. Helps in identifying issues and optimise API quickly, by using the Real time dashboard which monitors and shows the API performance.
5.Makes easy to control who has the access and who all can only view but not allowed to make changes

Streamlined API Development and Integration Platform with Room for Usability Improvements

  • July 01, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of designing, deploying, and managing APIs through a single interface. The API Designer and Exchange make it simple to reuse assets and accelerate development. The platform also excels in monitoring and analytics, giving clear visibility into API performance and usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still more developer's focus. come with a steep learning curve, especially for teams new to integration platforms or DataWeave. Not true iPaaS like Boomi

Additionally, performance tuning and debugging can be challenging in complex flows, and documentation, while extensive, sometimes lacks depth for advanced use cases.

Not easy for Migration and past experience for migration is pain
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise integration and API Management. The platform’s API-led connectivity approach has allowed us to decouple systems, making our architecture more modular and easier to maintain. This has reduced development time and improved agility in responding to business needs.

What do you like best about the product?
MuleSoft Anypoint has been incredibly useful for integrating applications, data, and devices in my work. I’ve found it particularly helpful for simplifying complex integrations and connecting systems that previously didn’t communicate well. For example, I used it to integrate our CRM with our analytics platform, which saved us hours of manual data entry and improved our reporting accuracy.

I've found MuleSoft Anypoint to be quite complex to implement and manage, requiring specialized skills that I've had to develop over time. The high cost has been a significant concern for me, especially when considering smaller projects. Personally, I've experienced a steep learning curve, and at times, I've found the interface overwhelming. Additionally, I've noticed performance issues arise when handling large-scale integrations, which has required some troubleshooting on my part.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform has been instrumental in solving my integration challenges by seamlessly connecting my various systems and applications. It has streamlined my business processes, significantly reduced development time, and accelerated digital transformation efforts. I can now easily manage APIs, automate workflows, and deploy integrations across cloud and on-premises environments. This has greatly improved my operational efficiency, made data more accessible, and enabled me to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
