My favourite headless cms
What do you like best about the product?
Storyblok makes the other headless offerings feel clunky and slow. The content is organized in folders that automatically have the equivalent of a URL path to access them, making it super easy to map content to a website IA without some convoluted navigation system. The UI is clean and responsive.
The ability to save presets for each type of content allows you to provide optional complexity while keeping things simple for your customers, and gives peace of mind that the beautiful thing you created isn't going to get ruined by someone that doesn't know what they are doing.
Implementation is easy with a well documented and simple api. There are great tutorials for all the major tech stacks. Customer service is friendly and responsive.
There is a generous starter plan that is always free for developers and small business.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyblok provides a simple CMS that is easy and fun to use at a competitive price point.

Editing and adding blocks and information is really quick and easy, making super easy to launch.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI/UX is not the most polished one and I find it difficult to undo revisions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes really easy and fast to launch new pages and that is helping me be more productive in my role.
Storyblok makes our Changes to our website easy with our constant developer help
What do you like best about the product?
Storyblok separates content from the code. Our content team can now update things like homepage banners and sliders without needing a developer. The visual editor is also great; it has a live preview in all. It’s made the change process faster and less frustrating.
What do you dislike about the product?
As someone who is new to headless CMS platforms, there might be a steep learning curve; you need to understand the component structure. But once we got the hang of it, it’s been mostly smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The initial website is a bit rigid in content changes and may take some time to update. It often took time and always required a developer to make updates in the backend. Storyblok has made this process easy and quick, allowing non-technical team members to make changes without needing a developer. This has helped us move faster with marketing updates and keep the site fresh without bottlenecks.

What do you like best about the product?
The structure of the software ties in perfectly with our development stack. It allows us to create and release content quickly and effectively to our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The releases app could be improved by adding some sort of branching strategy to avoid content being overwritten if changed in multiple releases.

Storyblok is allowing us to have effective control over multiple websites contents across multiple teams. The headless offering also gives us flexibility to create our website in the way want to do it.
User friendly CMS for editor and developer
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to set up, with plenty of flexibility to tailor it to your needs. The visual editor is intuitive, making it easy for content editors to manage and preview changes. Developers will appreciate the freedom to structure content however they like. On top of that, their customer support is fast, helpful, and genuinely friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, it’s the best CMS I’ve used in over a decade of working in the industry. If I had to point out a potential barrier for some users, it would be the pricing for smaller businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storyblok to manage our main marketing website and event microsite. It allows content editors to update pages without technical help easily.

We’ve faced one or two issues with how website changes are deployed as the team has expanded and we’ve added more users.

Incredibly powerful CMS, needed more implementation support
What do you like best about the product?
As a headless CMS, Storyblok is incredibly powerful, facilitating ease across a multitude of platforms from websites to apps to digital screens with everything housed in one place. New features and integrations are constantly being developed and improved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Given the relative newness of headless CMS, we were unsure of how to correctly implement it. No one within the team necessarily had any previous experience with a headless CMS and we weren't advised on best practise for this. Better implementation support would have been appreciated when we started as I'm not sure we ever got it completely set up right.

Blocks are easy to use and the deployment-based nature can be useful for certain projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) Numerous technical issues leading to SEO problems, like JavaScript rendering problems.
2) Slow or no technical support with issues that are impacting our bottom-line.
3) Adding links and building articles takes longer than it should: it's much quicker in WordPress and Umbraco, for example.

It's easy to make quick edits to webpages and move blocks around to test. It's easy to use.

Easier translation from Figma designs to Storyblok could possibly have a big impact on getting new content blocks live quickly.

SUCH A SIMPLE PRODUCT FOR US TO USE, INTEGRATE AND MANAGE. WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMEND.
