Great CAD software
What do you like best about the product?
Competitive with Creo and Catia. It can handle all design and modeling aspects and has all necessary tools available to full design capability
What do you dislike about the product?
Not intuitive to configure and create templates for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease and speed of design with precision and quality.
I have been using NX CAD for 13 years now and I like the program and the power of the attached bundl
What do you like best about the product?
It is user friendly and offers very good surfacing capabilities out of the box. Synchronis modeling is great. The integrated FEA and CFD bundles are great and the routing package is very nice with the deformable feature
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the bundles are not as integrated as I would like. For instance in pre-post some of the hot keys are not the same and the navigation is a bit off. Would be nice to have a more integrated bundle especially for pre-post
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The advanced surface items help me daily with creating a very nice smooth contoured surface without a million features.
NX a complex tool for complex designs
What do you like best about the product?
seems like it is logically laid out as far as user experience and using NX
What do you dislike about the product?
Too many sub menu's and menu's overall. could simplify this for the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creation of variants are made simpler using NX. Also it is very good with importing parts from other CAD systems.
NX 2412 transition
What do you like best about the product?
I have been an NX user for several years now, and I love how easy the transition from version to version was. The updated features were very helpful in daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any downsides to using NX, the only negative thing I could say is there are a lot of version upgrades.

NX is a very useful tool for creating new designs and easy to learn.

The flexibility that it lends in design. The use of multi-body solids and ability to use synchronous tools is very helpful in making quick changes

Users who use too much synchronous modeling.

I can design pretty much anything I can think of quickly.

The performance of very large assemblies leaves something to be desired.

I like how everything is integrated in the same place and how easy it is to use it once you learn it.

I do not like how it does not allow me to extend features easily.

It helped me visualize how the power train would fit into the airframe and have a holistic view of my full system.
best CAD software for large assemblies
What do you like best about the product?
handling large assemblies, synchronous modeling and WAVE. Integration to Teamcenter.

new sketch tool. not as intuitive as other CAD packages such as Solidworks.
