What do you like best about the product?
As a long term user of NX, it is the backbone of our business and central to everything we do.
What do you dislike about the product?
New updates whilst adding some useful new features often cause new problems. So we prefer to stick with a release version that is stable and dependable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem solving in 3d CAD eliminates the need for prototyping, ensuing we design right first time

What do you like best about the product?
NX CAD offers a highly seamless experience for modeling, assembly, etc. for complex mechanical products.
Some of it's upsides include:
1. Parametric modeling & Assembly: Reduces rework hours when there for the revised components.
2. Allows users to customize NX environment according to their needs, hence adhering to organization standards.
3. Powerful tools for advance modeling, surfacing, etc.
4. Good integration with Teamcenter.

Documentation to use some of the features are out-of-date.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX provides users to customize the CAD environment according to their needs. This helps users/engineers to make sure the component/drawing is meeting the industry standards. This helps in saving a lot of time and decrease the time to market.
Design, test and correct designs before you start developing them and lose money.
What do you like best about the product?
NX CAD is an excellent design software that has served greatly to our company, apart from serving for modeling and 3D drawin, has the ability to perform stress and vibration analysis that allows to detect weaknesses in designs to correct or improve them, also allows to simulate and analyze the distribution and dynamics of fluids in closed systems.
In addition, NX CAD also allows thermal analysis to analyze the behavior of materials under temperature changes, it is really and ideal tool to design and test any type of design before building or developing it.

NX CAD licenses need to be updated regularly and maintained.

NX CAD has been the best 3D design software I have used for our company today, there may be many others but NX CAD has unique features such as dynamic analysis, which allows us to evaluate the behavior of the design in different physical conditions, and also has a great feature of 3D modeling in a geometric way that no other program offers.

NX CAD sometimes fails in the accuracy of the designs, especially when it comes to very detailed designs and complex shapes.

This high-end software allows us to create 3D designs with geometric shapes and model parts with curves so NX CAD has been the perfect design program for our company that requires designs with very customized shapes.
A Game-Changer for Efficient Product Design
What do you like best about the product?
I rely on Siemens NX CAD for developing complex product designs, especially for injection-molded plastic parts. The Molded Part Design application has significantly improved our manufacturability testing reducing both design time and production costs. Additionally, NX CAD’s surface modeling capabilities allow me to create intricate shapes with ease, optimizing my workflow and enhancing the quality of our products. The seamless integration of parametric and direct modeling is another standout feature, making design iterations much faster and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
While NX CAD is incredibly powerful, it does have a steep learning curve, especially for new users unfamiliar with its extensive feature set. Also, to import the latest STEP standard files, we had to have tokens limiting exchange of design files through the industry. It was also difficult to understand which applications were available in the base product and which required additional tokens. Additionally, licensing costs are relatively high, which could become a barrier later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had some problems with manufacturability for injection molding, for which NX CAD has been highly reliable with the Molded Design Part application. The advanced surface modelling tools are very powerful and combined with the direct modelling saves a lot of time and effort.
