A high cost of acquisition and maintenance, especially for smaller businesses, a steep learning curve, potential stability issues with large assemblies, and a clunky user interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use NX CAD as a product design software solution, enabling engineers and designers to create and analyze complex products efficiently, from concept design through engineering and manufacturing.

The changing of icons for none value added change. Impacts existing training documentation.

How simple it is to use. With ai being integrated, the use of the tool is becoming easier.

The cost for a single user makes it an home use very difficult.

Ever evolving CAD software
What do you like best about the product?
It's user friendly, has a lot of features, and it's always getting more user friendly with more features with each upgrade. The upgrades are actually useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's difficult to find commands or learn to use some commands without training. The intuitive-ness could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are making the cad more intuitive, and contain more functionality, albeit more complex.
Multifunctional CAD Software
What do you like best about the product?
Using NX CAD makes designing any component easy. As a CFD engineer, NX is also great to transfer geometries into STAR-CCM+ in its native format, or directly through CAD-exchange.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for NX is fairly high, even for users with experience on other mainstream CAD software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NX solves a large part of cleaning and preparing CAD for CFD analyses.
Integrates well into the Teamcenter environment
What do you like best about the product?
It integrates well into Teamcenter as both are a Siemens application. GTAC is top of the line when you have support questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new 2406 relies on a system having a 8gb GPU so traveling with a thin and light laptop is no longer an option

Finding the commands as well as the customization of the product to fit our needs is great.

Can be very resource intensive and older commands lack support documents.
