Great service to have in your testing toolbox

  • March 05, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
LambdaTest allows us to have access to a large range of platforms, operating systems and devices without the cost to acquire and maintain. It makes it extremely easy to launch devices, complete testing and shut it down. Our testing team has really enjoyed using the service and we plan on continuing to keep it as part of our toolbox given its frequent usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
A small negative is you lose device memory between sessions so if you customize settings, install other tools before testing, you will need to set it up again since it is lost between sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us test our app on a wide range of devices without having to purchase and maintain them.

Lambdatest dishonest advertising

  • March 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
When we first looked at LambdaTest, there was only one apparent "benefit" - the price. Compared to more established tools like Saucelabs and BrowserStack etc, LambdaTest seemed like a budget-friendly alternative that promised to save us money. The lower pricing was attractive, especially for a small team working with limited resources.

We thought we'd found a smart cost-cutting solution. The initial price point looked tempting, and we believed we could get similar testing capabilities at a fraction of the cost of other platforms. It seemed like a clever financial decision - trading a few minor inconveniences for significant savings.

But here's the harsh truth: what we saved in dollars, we've lost exponentially in time, frustration, and potential product quality. The cheap price tag turned out to be a massive false economy. Every hour spent struggling with LambdaTest's poor performance, unreliable testing, and terrible support has cost us far more than the money we initially hoped to save.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was hoping for a solid testing tool that would help me check my website across different devices. What a joke! LambdaTest barely has any real devices. It's like trying to paint a masterpiece with a broken crayon. The emulators? They're so far from reality that they might as well be from another planet. want to know how your site really looks on an iPhone or Android? Good luck with LambdaTest - you won't find out here. Their customer support is like a ghost - present everywhere, but absolutely useless. I've had faster responses from a snail mail. When I reached out with serious issues, I got. You'd think with their cheap pricing (as compared to BrowserStack as per my initial research while suggesting to my company), you'd get a top-notch service. Instead, you get a broken tool that makes your job harder, not easier. I've seen better functionality in free tools made by college students.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LambdaTest positions itself as a comprehensive cross-browser and cross-device testing solution for web developers. However, the reality falls far short of its ambitious promises. The platform claims to simplify web application testing by providing access to multiple browser and device combinations, but in practice, it creates more challenges than it resolves.
The core issues begin with its testing capabilities. While LambdaTest markets extensive browser and device coverage, the actual experience is riddled with inconsistencies. The emulated environments are so far removed from real-world conditions that they provide little meaningful insight. Developers find themselves spending more time wrestling with the platform's limitations than actually testing their applications effectively. Performance is another critical failure point. The testing process is painfully slow, turning what should be a quick verification into a time-consuming ordeal. The user interface is counterintuitive, making navigation a frustrating experience. What should be a streamlined testing solution becomes a productivity bottleneck that actively hinders development workflows.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how I can see the website I developed on different devices through LambdaTest. It actually recreates the devices experience not just the resolutions.
I can see the difference in CSS issue that are on Apple device and not of Windows by just using a windows device by using LambdaTest.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't really found any downsides. But I would suggest a better way to to view screen in LambdaTest Browser like full screen to view content better as of now it show physical device that great but a way to view the the device screen full would be wonderful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LambdaTest is helping me test my mobile and web application across different devices which would be very difficult without LambdaTest as I would need to have the devices physically with me.

It's a game changer for my testing especially cross-browser.

What do you like best about the product?
Seriously, LambdaTest has been a life saver for our team. We were really struggling with setting up different test environments for all the browsers and OS versions we needed, and it was a total wasting lot of time for our team. Now? We just hop on LambdaTest through google results, and boom, we were able to test everything. The real time testing is super smooth, no lag or anything, and our automated tests run smoothly also.

What I really loved, though, was how it integrates with all our tools like Jira, Slack, GitHub - it's all connected smoothly. Moreover reporting bugs is actually… dare I say… easy? And running tests in parallel? That's saved us hours of work. Live testing is pretty sweet too, just being able to jump in and see things firsthand saves a lot of time and efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Okay, so if I had to pick something, I'd say the test speeds on the cheaper plans can be a bit... leisurely. It's not
terrible, but you definitely notice it if you're used to things moving fast. But honestly, for what you're getting, it's a pretty small price to pay. The platform is just so good overall. I'm hoping they'll keep tweaking things and making it even snappier, because if they do, it'll be absolutely perfect!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Man, before this LambdaTest, testing was taking too much time and efforts also the manpower. We were constantly juggling different browsers and devices, trying to keep up with all the versions. It was a huge time-suck, and I had to maintain a bunch of virtual machines in my mac, which was a pain. The biggest thing it fixed for us? Browser compatibility. Seriously, we were always getting complaints about things looking weird or not working on certain browsers or devices or resolutions. Now, with LambdaTest, we can test on like, a million different combinations, and catch all those little UI and UX bugs before anyone else sees them. It's saved us from a ton of headaches and efforts.
And the parallel testing? That's been a game-changer. We're getting through tests way faster, which means we can release updates quicker without sacrificing quality. Plus, it plays nice with all the other tools we use – Jira, Slack, our CI/CD pipeline. Everything just flows better. Basically, LambdaTest lets us push out way better apps, way faster. It's made a huge difference.
