The Ultimate Trust-Builder
What do you like best about the product?
It's a mission, it's a movement, but my focus is two things as a founder: I am obsessed about growing the business, and the second one is I'm a guardian of the brand. And Secureframe absolutely comes up huge in both respects. Enterprise security questionnaires were killing us before the tool—stalling deals for weeks, as my technical team was pulled off development for days to manually compile evidence. We now answer the most complicated vendor assessments in hours not weeks. The real-time and presentation-ready nature of the compliance report and ability to share a read-only dashboard with prospects has become our trust-driver. That's sort of professionalism and operational maturity more than many times our size. This isn’t just a back-end security tool, it is a front-line asset to sales and marketing and has directly contributed to our closing six figure deals with Fortune 500 companies who otherwise would have written us off as too small. The peace of mind in knowing we are effectively always audit-ready for SOC 2 has a value which is incalculable and allows me to sleep soundly through the night.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a bootstrapped start-up it was a big bet and leap of faith. The payback is immediate, but the upfront cost is a real concern for very early-stage companies. The system is very user friendly for its primary use but some of the more complex policy customization we needed a little help and they walked us through it for our services! I would also like to see more industry focused template packs, for IT service providers, to make the initial setup even faster for companies such as mine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
"But how do I know I can trust it?” Facts at times supersede the protocol underlying technological development, and online security is one such place. As a smaller IT services company we were always being asked to prove we were as safe as the giants. We had two major problems: a huge operational burden of doing manual compliance and a lack of velocity to showcase to prospects our security posture. The first became automated and the second simply disappeared when Secureframe entered the picture. The advantage is clear: faster revenue. We’re lowering our sales cycle by 30% on average due to being able to take an instant security and compliance objection off the table. It's afforded us a competitive moat, enabling us to punch well above our weight class, and earn business based on the strength of our security practices. It has more than paid for itself many times over in new client acquisition.

Would love more granular analytics on failed tests-rights now it's a bit binary.
