A Flexible and Scalable Headless CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is an incredibly flexible headless CMS, making it easy to manage structured content across multiple platforms. The GraphQL API is powerful and efficient, allowing seamless data retrieval without unnecessary overhead. The interface is intuitive, and the ability to define custom models and relationships makes content management highly scalable. It’s a great choice for developers and marketers alike!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX and UI could be more intuitive, especially for non-technical users like copywriters. Some aspects of the interface feel more tailored to developers, which can make content management a bit challenging for those without a technical background. A more user-friendly experience with improved navigation and editing tools would make it even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Shopware, which has many limitations—especially when it comes to version history and content management flexibility. Hygraph helps us overcome these issues by providing a structured and scalable content solution. Its

Developer-friendly headless CMS
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is clean and intuitive, making content management straightforward even for non-technical users. Performance is solid, with fast query execution thanks to GraphQL. Its also very flexible and has many options when it comes to building models
What do you dislike about the product?
Might be a steep learning curve if you are not familar with GQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its headless architecture allows me to deliver content seamlessly across multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.) via GraphQL, improving performance and scalability. The flexible content modeling makes managing complex product catalogs and localization easier, while also allowing me to fetch exactly what I need with minimal overhead. This results in faster development, better site performance, and more control over how content is served, which ultimately enhances the user experience and scalability for future growth.
Security First Approach
What do you like best about the product?
The upside of using Hygraph is its security standards compliance it follows GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 best practices. This means I don’t have to worry about data privacy risks, as everything from API authentication to content isolation is built with security in mind
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside i consider is that Hygraph does not offer a native media library. unlike traditional CMSs, where I can upload, browse, and manage assets in one place, Hygraph only stores references (URLs) to externally hosted media
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can safely test API modifications, schema updates, and integrations in a sandboxed environment before they impact live users. If an issue arises, i can quickly revert changes without affecting published content.
A powerful, developer friendly, great looking CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, I have been very impressed and very happy with using HyGraph. The UI is simple and clean, yet the product is very configurable and supports some very poweful functionality. Being able to add components to the content schema is a game changer.
We have been able to implement live preview and staging content delivery very easily. Hygraph has also connected very easily to our frontend modules allowing for easy integration.
During our time with Hygraph, the support we have received has been very friendly and super helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
I think that HyGraph needs to strike a happy balance between targetting development teams and mareting teams. There are probably parts of HyGraph which could seem a bit too developer focused. There are some small UI changes I would like to see implemented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are wanting a headles CMS that will connect to our ecommerce platform Commercetools which will allow us to power multiple branded websites in multiple locales. We want a very configurable platform that will allow us to build our content models as we require. We also need to power perosnalisation and A/B experiements,

Very easy to use, reliable, good pricing and generous free plan which allows us to pilot new sites wiht it

Wish there was a way to upgrade models on the paid plans below enterprise

What do you like best about the product?
Als Software Architekt schätze ich die Flexibilität der Lösung und die Unterstützung des Unternehmens bei der Umsetzung. Aus der Community kommen regelmäßig neue Insights und Erfahrungsberichte, die einen bei der Umsetzung inspirieren. Das gesamte Rollenkonzept zur Administrierung kann sich sehen lassen. Wir laufen als Unternehmen mit fast 50 aktiven Accounts mit der Lösung sehr gut. Mein Tip: Greifen sie gleich zu Beginn auf die Hilfe des Unternehmens zu, ein Solutions Architect kann bei der Umsetzung wunder bewirken.
What do you dislike about the product?
Die Erweiterungen in Form von Apps sollten auch durch ein Projekt administierbar sein und nicht nur durch einen Nutzer. Das schützt davor, dass Apps im Anwenungslifecycle verloren gehen. ( Wir hatten das Problem und konnten es innerhalb von 24 stunden durch das Team von HyGraph lösen.

Wir nutzen HyGraph um eine komplexe Webseite mit millionen von Kunden zu administrieren. Dabei haben wir unterschiedliche Marken, Länder und Sprachen. Wir nutzen das CMS bis zur letzten AI Extension und sind davon begeistert. Gerade die Unterstützung vom HyGraph Team ist hier vorzuheben. Hier ist der Kunde König.
Greate CMS base on GQL
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is a fast and efficient tool for managing content. The platform runs smoothly and reliably, which makes content management simple for both developers and content creators. Plus, our whole team got used to it really quickly, so the transition was super easy. The API with GraphQL is exactly what I was looking for. In the future, Hygraph will definitely be my first choice when it comes to this type of solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basing the API entirely on GraphQL might not suit everyone. Additionally, from what I remember, content translations were locked behind a paid plan, which could be a drawback for teams needing multilingual support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph helps us add content to our website that we don’t want to implement directly in our system. It allows us to do this quickly while giving business users control over content editing, making the process much more efficient and flexible.
Unclear structure, not very user friendly UI

Great of you need a custom CMS
What do you like best about the product?
The API first approach is great. I also like the various different editor components and the customzability.
What do you dislike about the product?
GraphQL is an overkill vor many situations and I would have prefered an additional REST based alternative for simple stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it mainly for localizations and email content

As of yet, I don't neccessarily have any negative feedback as I haven't been using it for that long and so far it's been a pleasant experience.

We create promotional pages via Hygraph, and it's ease of use makes it the perfect tool for the team!
