Insanely good Headless CMS
What do you like best about the product?
I don't write reviews or give praise lightly, but Hygraph is a product I fully endorse.
I've searched for a headless CMS far and wide to find a perfect match for our product/architecture.
Hygraph ticked a lot of boxes for me as a tech lead, so we started integrating Hygraph into our product.
From the get-go the developer experience was great, and all of the devs in the team love it. Once we started going live with first features via Hygraph, we instantly got a lot of love from our admin users who manage the content.
The most important points we need and get via Hygraph are:
* we wanted the Schema/Model management to be done via UI, basically a no-code solution
* we wanted good filtering options for the content (hygraph offers a lof of dynamic filtering and view setup that fits all of our users)
* we wanted the Webhook capabilities so that we can listen to content changes on the CMS (Hygraph offers just that) + a very nice webhook log which we appreciate greatly
* transparent billing
Also, the Customer Support is proactive and I got help when I needed it on a few occasions.
Anyhow, I'm very excited we found Hygraph and started using it.
To mention, we're using Hygraph for circa 2 months now.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I directly dislike about Hygraph. We've found a few bugs, like minor UI glitches here and there, but nothing I would deem dramatic or that would put me off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving our CMS needs for additional content which we integrate into our SPA web application.
Fine grained permissions
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph offers detailed permission controls, allows to set role specific access for content. This means only authorized users can view, edit, or manage content based on their roles, reducing security risks and ensuring content stays protected and well managed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hygraph is a headless CMS, meaning it only delivers structured content via API and does not handle website rendering. The least helpful aspect is that users need to build their own frontend, as it doesn’t provide ready-made templates. A downside of Hygraph is that its setup can be slower compared to other CMS platforms, which come with built-in templates for easy content creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, content updates required manual tagging, categorization, and adjustments for different platforms. With Hygraph’s AI models, content can now be automatically tagged and distributed across multiple channels such as web and social media without the need for constant manual effort.
Solid headless CMS
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketer handling multiple sections of the website, I love that it empowers me to update different parts of the website at once with consistent messaging. Makes my life a lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX takes a bit of time to get used to but once you know your way around, it's relatively straight forward.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph helps me update content across multiple channels at once - this ensures consistency in messaging and also just reduces manual work for me.
Hygraph is Rock Solid
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph is intuitive and easy to use when creating content. I appreciate its ease of use for longer form article and insights reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to copy and paste content into Hygraph without resulting in formatting changes and errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph provides a platform for my company's content, which helps drives sales conversations and marketing.
Clunky process but gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
It's an effective way to post articles to our website.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process is annoying and it often doesn't let me copy posts, so I have to start from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting company announcements onto our website.
Great CMS, easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph as a CMS is a wonderful tool for managing content. I've never had any issues with it running slowly. The user interface is simple and easy for teams to integrate and become familiar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The content translations are hidden behind a paywall, which is unfortunate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
providing a headless CMS system which is more efficient and cost saving than our older one.
No Unnecessary Backend Processing
What do you like best about the product?
In traditional CMSs, the backend not only stores content but also manages rendering, theming, and plugin execution, resulting in increased server loads. Hygraph distinguishes content from presentation, ensuring that backend resources are utilized solely for structured content management, rather than for rendering and processing UI logic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The issue is API rate limits, which can be a headache for high-traffic applications. If am running real-time AI personalization or fetching a lot of data dynamically, I need to optimize queries and implement caching to avoid hitting limits too quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph’s comprehensive and up-to-date documentation greatly accelerates development timelines, particularly for new developers joining a project.
Solid
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph's interface is clean and pretty easy to navigate which is good when introducing new team members. Setting up and managing content is straightforward, and the GraphQL API makes querying data efficient. It’s a great balance between flexibility and usability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hygraph seems to lack built-in templates or pre-made components, so teams need front-end development experience. This can slow things down if content teams need to rely on developers for implementation. So seeing more pre-made components can improve this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph keeps content structured and centralised, making it easier to manage across multiple platforms. Our developers can focus on our custom front-end experience while other teams can update things without worrying about breaking the system. It's essentially improving efficiency across our teams.
A Powerful and Flexible CMS, but With a Bit of a Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
Hygraph makes managing content really easy, especially with its flexible setup and GraphQL API. The interface is clean and intuitive, and I love how you can customize content structures to fit exactly what you need. Plus, it integrates well with other tools, which is a huge bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a little time to get used to, especially if you're new to GraphQL or structured content models. The pricing can feel a bit steep for smaller projects, and some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans. Customer support is generally good, but response times can be a bit inconsistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph helps streamline content management by making it easy to structure and deliver content efficiently across different platforms. The GraphQL API significantly speeds up data retrieval, making it a great tool for projects that require fast, dynamic content updates. The flexibility of the content modeling system allows for better organization and scalability, reducing the time spent on manual content structuring.
