The JSON returned from the API is almost perfect for my needs

  • May 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This definitely beats a lot of options out there, it's also really fast. Handling the json format was super easy for creating blog articles.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be better handling of things like adding a link to an image. But I solved this by just putting a link in the alt text and then putting that value in the href.

Handling enter spaces - I am not sure I saw that being returned in any format.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solves the problem of storing formatted html in a database, and then retrieving that formatted html.

I found taht I preferred the json format that hygraph generates versus the html formatting, its a lot easier to handle this way.

An excellent and fascinating CMS

What do you like best about the product?
When I discovered Hygraph and saw it working in one of my applications, I was delighted with its simplicity and efficiency in delivering a CMS platform. As a beginner programmer, I was able to easily understand its documentation and implement my first project. Hygraph is simple and robust.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like the lack of updating the examples on his Github. I think there should be updates to the examples for new versions of React, Next, Typescript, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hygraph is providing me with a CMS platform where I can store and manage the content of my applications and my customers in an easy and secure way. Online menu content for restaurants is an example. I don't have to worry about databases and storage.

Hygraph is just what I needed in a headless CMS

  • May 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been tinkering with Hygraph for just over a year now and I have to say it ticks all the boxes for me. Currently I'm on the free tier but I'll likely outgrow this soon and be upgrading to one of their paid plans. As far as a headless CMS goes I've found Hygraph to be simple and intuitive and I love how easy it is to pull data into my front ends via their API. Their built in GraphQL playground make it super convenient to build out and test your queries.

One thing I'm particularly fond of is continuing my experimentation with Web Studio (an awesome front end development tool, much better than Web Flow IMHO) and now being able to pull in data from Hygraph.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have t identified any dislikes with Hygraph. My use cases so far have been simple for building microsites. That might change as I start to develop more complex sites and apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of managing data and extracting that date to pull it into my front ends.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to connect to your front-end application. Clear and user friendly UI with plenty of room for customisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI isn't the easiest to use on mobile devices, making on the go edits slightly harder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Writing free, small websites for businesses can sometimes be difficult, but the Hypgraph CMS has solved this problem for me.

Seamlessly Integrates with Existing Systems

  • May 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Hygraph integrates seamlessly with older CRM systems, offering a flawless experience. The GraphQL interface is simple and efficient, especially for someone familiar with development, making it easy to plug and play with existing setups. One additional feature I appreciate is the excellent assets management, which is very user-friendly and allows high-resolution images with customizable rendering options. These features together make Hygraph a powerful tool for managing content and assets effectively. Moreover, the initial setup was very easy, enhancing my overall experience with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it sometimes unclear whether I've published new content or not with Hygraph. The app could benefit from clearer notifications, like a toaster message, to confirm successful publication. Additionally, the mobile functionality is not very user-friendly. It needs to be more responsive to enhance usability on mobile devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Hygraph for seamless integration with existing CRM systems using GraphQL, making it a plug-and-play solution. Its asset management is efficient, allowing easy handling of high-res images and customizable rendering options.

Very powerful and easy to use backend service

  • May 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is packed with features and it is free to use. It is also very flexible, I don't think there is any backend API you would like to build that you can't achieve with Hygraph.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no much resources. TubeGuruji channel introduced me to Hygraph, although it is easy to use, I want more developer youtube channels to talk about this amazing tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Hygraph, I can really write a very powerful and robust backend API using graphql without actually writing any backend code. I have used sanity.io and contentful, but this one feels different.

My go-to for all things JAMStack!

  • May 27, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Getting started is ridiculously easy. And with GraphQL Codegen, it only gets easier on the client!
What do you dislike about the product?
I know that free tier is generous enough, but would love an increased limit on Content Models and Components. 20 get over easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. CMS - An easy back dashboard for my clients to manage their website content and data on the fly.
2. Asset Transformation keeps things speedy!

A Promising Tool with Room for Improvement

  • May 23, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HyGraph CMS offers a clean and user-friendly interface because of which it became very easy for a new developer like me to create schemas and add content in it. The high flexibility of the CMS allowed me to perform extensive customizations according to my project needs. The speed at which the data gets published helped me to make changes in my UI faster and simpler. Hygraph was also very easy to integrate with my existing project as compared to other CMS that I've worked on. I think HyGraph CMS can be used in almost every project that frequently needs updates like content management and data imports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The process of importing data like CSV is very hard as there is not much content or blogs related to the problems that I faced during the integration of my data into the CMS. There are significant drawbacks for projects that rely on constant data imports. There is a lack of resources and educational content like blogs related to HyGraph CMS. The presence of HyGraph CMS on platforms like StackOverflow is very minimal which leads to a lack of discussions related to it. The customer support is active but the response time from them can be sometimes huge which results in a pause in the development of projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Hygraph for managing content on my website realted to blogs and Hygraph has been very useful for me in doing that. Because of it's simple and user-friendly UI I can provide a platform for my content-writer who can create blogs for me without having to worry about the technical aspects of the projects. Overall I think it's a very useful product with a very little room for improvement.
