KnowBe4 has been a game changer for our organization
What do you like best about the product?
Where do I start, the phishing tests you can send out at your desired frequency, the phish alert button you can install for Outlook, the second chance tool that can be installed for Outlook to make users think twice about clicking a link in their email, the scam of the week emails, and the variety of training options and materials. Also being able to have users acknowledge the acceptable use policy within KnowBe4 was very cool, especially since we were able to set a time limit to make sure users actually take the time to read it. Everything has been great so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't say I've had any bad experiences thus far. The only recommendation I have made to them is when completing the Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment a lot of users wanted to know how they scored and what questions they missed but it only shows the admin the score for each user. Overall however there's been nothing we have found to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We feel our users have become much more aware of phishing emails and we have seen an improvement in the number of phishing test emails reported since we started till now. The fact that we have user automatically be enrolled in a training campaign if they fail a phishing test is very beneficial. We are in our first year of having KnowBe4 so this was our first time sending out security awareness training to our users as we do the training annually. We felt the training was far more extensive than our previous training provider. We sent out the Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment prior to users taking the training and are anxious to send it out again next year so we can see the improvements of KnowBe4's training.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say if you're considering KnowBe4 whether switching to the, or just started looking for a security awareness vendor, go ahead and sign up now. I would recommend signing up for the diamond package to ensure you get all the benefits and features KnowBe4 has to offer. Upon signup you get assigned to a customer success manager who is very helpful with getting setup and can answer any questions you have going forward. Their support team is also very helpful and respond in a timely fashion. The amount of content KnowBe4 has to offer cannot be beat. The phishing templates they provide for you to send out to your users are awesome. The training content they offer is great. The phish alert button that can be installed for your mail client is so nice to have for our users. Everything is great!
Less Work, More Effective, Gets Employees Talking
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 has a massive, and expanding portal full of learning material. It doesn't matter what industry you're in, or how your company does business, you should find plenty of videos, training, quizzes, and games that fit your company's needs. Whenever there's large changes, our account rep gives me a quick call to let us know how we could benefit from this new feature or content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The modstore doesn't allow you to upload your own content. It would be highly useful for adding training for other common tasks users repeatedly request that currently create a workload for your IT team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email phishing has been a huge problem in our industry, with a smaller focus on effectively protecting company assets / locking workstations. KnowBe4 has been able to show us (with executive-friendly graphs!) how the training has been helping every single employee. In the beginning, we had a significant uptick in employees double checking with IT about sketchy emails. After the Phish Alert Button was pushed out, that workload went away entirely. We also see employees chatting amongst themselves and with IT about current phishing attacks. The knowledge and awareness increase has been astounding, for just minutes of work every month.

What do you like best about the product?
Very granular detail that allows fully customizable interaction with staff through amazing and very convincing phishing emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
So many options, you can get lost customizing but account managers do a wonderful job of getting your organization running and slowly ramping up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Staff are much more careful with their email, attachments and answering questions online. The KnowBe4 platform has saved uncountable hours of cleanup by training staff to be more wary of all emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This service will give you an in depth look at all employee's tendencies and what will give them an urge to click on. The video tutorials have been a great asset in helping staff understand how email can affect everyone in the organization and has helped them be more evaluative with email, links and information.
World Class Cyber Security Training
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training is comprehensive, user-friendly and runs on auto-pilot once set up and configured. It has taken the burden off of our IT Department to ensure our users are prepared for ever-evolving cyber security threats. The newsletters are informative and allow us to keep our user-base informed and prepared. The Phishing tests are effective in keeping threat awareness high.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the training videos have issues playing in Safari browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Equipping users to be human firewalls has been huge.

Our users are less complacent about cyber security and more knowledgeable about their role in protecting us from threats.

Our users have an improved skepticism as applies to emails, links, and attachments.

Amazing platform all around, one of my best tools I use for my job
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 has every feature I need, anytime I think about trying to do something within the platform the feature is always available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Group management is my biggest gripe, I wish I could add users to a group from either their user page or the Group page itself. Feels kind of intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First is of course security training and awareness. Putting sample phishing emails in front of my users on a monthly basis is incredibly helpful on so many levels. We also use KnowBe4 to distribute other custom training modules for new hires.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
KnowBe4, unlike most products I've found offer both phishing tools as well as training modules. Their training modules are absolutely amazing and you can choose from a wide variety of content to meet your company's needs. They also do a really good job of keeping both the phishing and training material up to date and fresh.
KnowBe4 is a great tool for IT Security management professionals
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 not only trains users on how to identify and handle potential security threats, but it gives organizations the confidence to know how well their organizational resources are responding to their training and retaining important knowledge. This is partially done through a series of sophisticated ongoing test email campaigns. It is one thing to learn how to spot and remove potential security threats, but entirely another to be able to act on them in a safe and controlled test fashion to ensure complete comprehension of the training material. Those who don't respond effectively to training and subsequent test emails are automatically enrolled in remedial training.
What do you dislike about the product?
KnowBe4 requires significant time to learn for administrators. It is not difficult to learn, but it has many modules. IT Administrators will need to set aside uninterrupted time to work with it and learn how to use the many features it offers. KnowBe4 representatives are very good about providing ongoing training and and assistance when needed. In addition, some users may push-back or refuse to do the training. There might be complaints that the training takes too much of their time even if it only takes 10-15 minutes to do. That is why it is important to have 100% backing and support from Human Resources and Executive Management to help reinforce that the training is compulsory for the good of the individual and the organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem we addressed with KnowBe4 was to have users hands-on trained on how to identify phishing emails or suspicious file attachments. This is critical because even if a company has the most advanced IT security in place, internal users can still cause IT security problems if they unwittingly bypass internal security controls. KnowBe4 was instrumental in training our users how to spot suspicious emails and how to respond and handle them appropriately. It gives IT security administrators the peace of mind to know their users are on the look-out and understand how to detect a potential security threat. KnowBe4 reporting also helped us to measure the results of training using metrics that can be applied as key performance indicators to see what levels of improvement have been achieved before and after each training cycle.
Excellent content at the level that my users were currently at.
What do you like best about the product?
There were a number of different topics for training. I liked this module because it showed common trends and topics that tested my users to think about security. I really liked that there was a test at the end that allowed the user to see if they fully understand what they learned. I also liked that I was able to set a pass rate (you had to get 8/10 questions right to pass). The staff is always helpful if I have questions or need some help in setting up new training.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I disliked about the training modules nor any downside to using them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the State of Ohio, we have a law that limits our liability to any breaches if the company can prove that they train their users. By using KnowB4's security training, we satisfy the law if we experience any breach.
Phishing training for users
What do you like best about the product?
They continuously update the available training both to modernize and meet maintain continuity with changing styles of phish emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a lack of training showing the difference between phishing emails, spam, and mass advertising. The training should include examples of all of these types of emails teaching better understanding to the normal user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Computer security understanding for employees. It has reduced the number of personnel who previously had clicked on anything they received, subjecting the system to potential hackers and viruses.
