Training videos for all types of users

  • July 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The training videos we send out to our staff are a custom fit for the different user levels we have in the company. You do not need to be in IT to understand the training videos and answer the short quizzes at the end of the videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes about the training videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The training videos have helped us with reporting phishing email with the PAB button. Our users are now training to report those suspicious emails and less eager to open every email they receive.

Best on the market

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy and user friendly to orchestrate a phishing campaign to help keep staff aware of how to spot suspicious emails. I love the reporting that comes with the use of the software, it helps in finding your weak points as a company. Also love the added security campaigns that you can stack on the phishing campaigns to automatically send extra training to users who fail the phishing simulation!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be tricky to get this software to work in an environment with an existing DLP service as one may combat the other. I am still having a little bit of issues with this, but it is not the fault of the KnowBe4.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product is really keeping our employees informed on how to spot phishing emails and how to understand basic cybersecurity. A companies risk fails heavily on the employee, so educating them on what to do and what not to do, is very beneficial and something that you cannot put a price tag on!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the details found in the reporting - to know more than just a user passed or failed, but also the time spent on each module.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could get more of my corporate branding and content into the training modules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Raising awareness with regular contact.

What do you like best about the product?
This software is user friendly and easy to navigate. It has been relatively easy to provision trainings and keep track of those that have not participated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Groupings/managing new hires vs. current employees and keeping those lists consistent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This training makes us compliant and allows me to meet security requirements for my customers.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great tool to keep people informed and up to date and the latest things to look out for on the Security side of things.

Well put together and informative videos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not many downsides. Wish we can fit more info into the training and that the questions are a bit more challening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping users informed on things to look out for. Phish attempts have been reported with more frequncey as of late.

Before KnowBe4, had two incidents with phishing emails-caused issue with our security, none since.

  • July 18, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Higher user awareness on phishing emails. Our phish-proneness went down immensly after implementing training. Users do find the site easy to navigate.

We found it was easy to implement and integrate with our system.

Customer Support has always been fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
Training can be a bit long for users at times. Not everyone has time for an hour long video. Thanks to help of KnowBe4, we were able to find shorter training that still met our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had incidents in the past with users falling for phishing emails. After implementing KnowBe4, and the Security Awareness Training a few years ago, we have not had a single issue with users falling for phishing emails. Thanks to that, our network is more secure, and we are not as worried about our users falling for the phishing attempts outside of work as well.

What do you like best about the product?
Teaches our users to Trust No One! They are very suspicious of everything, which is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm always nervous as an IT admin that I'm gonna "flunk." lol
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Love how it keeps up on current threats out in the world to inform our users

We use KnowBe4 to help train users and keep them security-conscious. The test emails they get sent keep them on their toes.

Lowers human element risks and has innovative training

  • June 07, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use the solution to lower human element risk. By providing recurring security awareness training, simulated phish testing for immediate reaction training, and more, our risk is significantly lowered.

By requiring onboarding security awareness training, ongoing training, and our coupling of other layers of security, we have yet to be hit with malware or ransomware.  KnowBe4's solution plays a big role in this.

Our use case focuses on positive reinforcement and benefit and not punitive.  This has the benefit of protecting the end-user in their personal life, as well!

How has it helped my organization?

KnowBe4's formulas for risk reduction simply work. Being a technical company, our initial phish-prone percentage wasn't super high, but it was still around 18%.  Since we have been requiring ongoing training and simulated phish testing, our average phish-prone percentage hovers in the 0 to 3% range now.

As a reseller, it resonates with clients and prospects when they hear we are users of the solution, as well. They understand we are not just selling it to be selling it, but we truly believe in it.

What is most valuable?

The innovative training is good. We have exposure and availability of competing solutions. NONE have the content that KnowBe4 has. Our users specifically like The Inside Man training series. They ask for more training in the form of 'When is the next season coming out? We can't wait!'

The ability to modify training is slick.

Being able to tie into SSO via SAML is fantastic!

We hope to eventually add in PhishER and possibly SecurityCoach to provide even further risk reduction.

What needs improvement?

Some more AI-driven automation for creating training and phishing testing campaigns, as well as automated reporting would help. The Phish Alert button could be improved, although it is understood this is due to Microsoft's constant changes.

Any improvements in wizards and documentation are always a good thing!.

Additonal areas for improvement could be around the technical training and best practice training areas such as NIST CSF, CISv8, Cyberinsurance, and more.

Clearer whitelisting requirements are always appreciated. However, the current levels are significant and appreciated.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using KnowBe4 for more than nine years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is very stable. It seems to always be up.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is extremely scalable.

How are customer service and support?

All interactions with tech support have been top notch.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We have only used free or open-source materials.

How was the initial setup?

As long as you have knowledge or resources who can integrate with your mail solution, work with your firewalls and filters for whitelisting, etc., it is very straightforward!

What about the implementation team?

We implemented it in-house.

What was our ROI?

We didn't measure ROI but the potential loss that is avoided is huge.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My advice would be to find a trusted partner and work with them. The pricing model is simple. If you have the technical staff and bandwidth, you may implement it yourself. However, if you want to get up and running more quickly, find a partner with that level of experience who has done it multiple times.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We looked at Wombat (acquired by another vendor), PhishMe (acquired by another vendor), SANS (didn't resonate with all end users), and others I can no longer recall.

What other advice do I have?

Take advantage of the user conference (KB4CON) and other ongoing updates and materials.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

Other
