The best option for using a GIS
What do you like best about the product?
We are faced with the most comprehensive Geographic Information System on the market, just by displaying the tool menu we realize that we have more than 40 options to process geographic data of any type (raster, shapefile, cad, among others), in addition to all the tools for data transformation, spatial adjustment, raster image statistics, altitude modeling through digital elevation models, all complemented with numerous extensions that allow focusing on particular topics, such as the processing of statistical information for spatial purposes, geodesign, or three-dimensional modeling. Simply put, ArcGIS is the best GIS.
What do you dislike about the product?
ArcGIS is an extremely expensive software, which limits the possibilities for many people to use it as a common work tool. This cost limitation directly affects where the software is implemented, as it is large companies or public institutions that have the capacity to pay for it. A small or medium-sized company, or a group of entrepreneurs, would not be able to acquire the software, thus limiting the ability to use this incredible tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ArcGIS has contributed to improving the levels of service in our company, as we know the origin of the people, which has allowed us to expand our market to places where the largest number of buyers come from and make the opportunity to obtain their preferred book more pleasant and closer. All of this has been done by cross-referencing spatial data with administrative records, which together help to better understand the relationship between the company and the consumer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ArcGIS is a tool that everyone who performs geographic analysis should be able to use, the number of tools it possesses makes it fit practically any need, whether it is environmental, urban, rural, administrative, business, or other, ArcGIS has a tool that will help you understand spatial dynamics, and how to improve the condition of your company, increasing benefits and using resources better.
Excellent GIS Platform
What do you like best about the product?
ArcGIS is extremely powerful and flexible, with the ability to import data from a huge variety of sources. If there's a tool or feature that's not already built in to the application, you can build your own with Python.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't intuitive at all. You will definitely need to buy a few books and do some training, however there ARE a number of free training and webinars available on the ESRI site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using ArcGIS for facilities management and documentation. ArcGIS also makes data visualization a breeze for doing territory analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
ArcMap has so many different ways to create maps and visualize data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime my program runs slowly. My ArcMap freezes when I put "too much"data in and it slows the whole system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are fixing the City of Tulsa address locators. Using ArcGIS gives us a streamlined tool to create, and then post to our webmaps.

The best tool for spatial analysis
What do you like best about the product?
When it comes to creating and analyzing thematic cartography, satellite or radar images, or any other element linked to space, ArcGIS offers the best option for all those users who use spatial analysis to conduct diagnostics of rural or urban land, on land use, population distribution, marketing among others, allowing the management of numerical databases and transforming these into spatial elements mainly through shapefiles and thus allowing conclusions to be drawn, patterns to be determined, or viewpoints to be established on the tasks to be carried out so that changes in spatial occupation patterns do not affect the quality of life of the population. ArcGIS offers a myriad of tools for analysis, from Topology, the Cadastral Editor, 3D Models, and many more that depending on the context can be used to perform more precise and practical space analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is the biggest limitation of this software, it is extremely expensive, and it causes a small or medium-sized company to be unable to acquire it or use all the tools it has. This can be a significant limitation since many modules and extensions are sold independently, limiting the user to only use the tools they paid for, without being able to use the rest even in trial mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With ArcGIS, we have been able to specify the areas of attention and product delivery. Through georeferencing, we were able to identify which areas were more and less accessible, and thus establish more efficient routes for product delivery. We were also able to calculate delivery times and make the use of the cargo vehicles that transport our products more efficient.

ArcGIS really has no comparison with other software on the market, it is simply the best, its trial version should be used to understand the potential of this great software and the magnificent number of tools it possesses, which are applicable to multiple social realities.

What do you like best about the product?
ArcGIS is the best software on the market for performing all tasks related to spatial analysis and management of geographic databases, the endless number of tools it possesses allows you to perform urban, environmental, geodesign, hydrology, digital terrain models, watershed analysis, satellite image processing, three-dimensional modeling, geospatial process modeling, and many other activities with this GIS. ArcGIS extensions like Catalog and Arcscene allow the former to improve data management processes, as its function is to keep information organized in files and ensure it is primarily ordered in Geodatabase to enhance its processing and management, while Arcscene allows for creating models, simulations, and videos, especially associated with digital terrain models and raster image processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest disadvantage of ArcGIS is the price, it is an extremely expensive software, especially for entrepreneurs or small businesses that wish to use it for studies and research. In this sense, the trial versions are simple and quite limited, you only have access to a few modules that do not show you the full potential of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ArcGIS has helped us in the organization to manage all the processes of data collection and plan generation through geospatial information to carry out city maintenance, the ease of vectorizing cartography, adding attributes, and visualizing this in thematic maps or in the same program has allowed us to establish priority areas and use physical and human resources more efficiently.

They have to use ArcGIS, without a doubt it is the best GIS on the market, it has no comparison with any other software whether proprietary or with a GNU license, in this sense, ESRI has always maintained supremacy over its competitors, with this tool that is indispensable for any professional, technician, or academic working with geospatial information.

What do you like best about the product?
If you are a Geographer or GIS professional, this is your primary tool to create maps using ArcMap and ArcGIs. It's very advanced and helps you achieve your geospatial goals.

It can get slow at times and take much of your PC memory space

No other product like it
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using ESRI GIS for the last 10 years and there’s is no other platform that seamlessly integrates and visually displays spatial information.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not always the most straightforward software to print from, I often have to PDF and then print from the PDF.

Creating maps, analyzing data over a region, typically related to engineering design and planning

I like how easy it is to adjust the map, and change out the base layers depending on what is needed by the pilot/operator.

There are certain tools that can only be used in certain versions which is a headache to find the right version in the office on a computer somewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to create the flight maps the pilot and operator give to ATC so they can get clearance to fly in certain areas.

A bit difficult to navigate unless you know the menu and its capabilities
