What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clear but concise, the yellow call to action really helps as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
the downside, is that some of the icons at the top seem a little unfamiliar and so you tend to not want to click them, maybe it's the design or maybe they aren't clear enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it helps with finding and sharing documents and images faster

Great bang for your buck.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy-to-use and offers a ton of features such as different sharing capabilities, granular search functions, and drop and drop version control. You can easily bulk add tags and meta data which is key to our file organization and upload process. The also uses a folder system that we can easily upload packaging artwork files to. The price is great too and is cheaper than any of the other bigger DAM solutions available.
What do you dislike about the product?
The folder / album system takes a little getting used to. I would like the ability to share a folder via a link too. The Canto connector into our project management tool, inMotion account never seemed to work quite right either
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
File storage, file sharing, and version control. Offers a ton more features and also allows to host us downloaded files for our multiple websites that can be easily updated across multiple sites
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for something intuitive and simple with tons of features choose Canto!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it was to catalog and tag images. I also liked how easy it was for people outside our orginization to send us photos.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not like that its did not accept text files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A very messy photo library.

    Computer Software

I'm continuing to learn Canto and so far it has been very useful.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we are able to create links to share our assets and then update those assets without having to create and upload a new entry. This makes it so much easier to keep track of the latest versions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that my company is slowly learning the software vs. getting it thoughtfully set up from the get-go. I feel like we are missing a lot of the functionality that will continue to keep us organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the ability to keep the latest version updates in one spot. We don't have the full company on here and are still split between here and our "HUB", but being able to link to Canto has made it infinitely easier to keep our "HUB" updated with the latest without having to update in two places.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend spending time digging into the software and being really thoughtful about keywords and tags. I was not an admin when ours was being set up and it still feels light. I know there is a lot more that Canto can offer if we were to sit down and continue to dig and populate.

Finally an Easy Way to Store, Share, and Organize Assets!

  • August 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to search for our assets. We had no asset management system before Canto, so using it is a breath of fresh air. We are very intentional about how we tag and describe our content (mainly photos and videos) so they're easy to look up in the future.

I also really appreciate the customer service. The team is easy to reach out to and are quick to respond to our needs!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to say as they are continually improving and fixing bugs that come up for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Canto for saving space with our photos and videos, helping with organization and searching for assets, and document control. It is also great with sharing large documents with outside groups.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Double-check how much space you need and how many people will be using the software. From there slowly build up the content before deploying companywide.

Fun time conclude with plenty of proposals

What do you like best about the product?
I consider pixel Relay extremely easy navigation and to use. You can upload the photos in larger quantities, attach keywords to facilitate the search and organization of the pictures in boxes. You may connect users as well, and offer them various permissions rates. A few of of yours favourite games has been able to produce "photo collections" and then share out the collection. It allows you the freedom to upload certain images and have someone open them without allowing them to vote through your whole archive.
What do you dislike about the product?
This would be good if HTML files could be visualized directly inside Image Relay, you actually have to import them to display them correctly. Occasionally loading takes a little longer, but I think that depends on how many files and sizes certain files are within the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing and saving images from all of our locations across the globe is an simple way to. It has aided our visualization team to work effectively with our graphic designers and marketing team. Both of them are both on the same level and have links to all of the files. We had limited access before we begins employing pixel switch and not all of it was in one centralized spot. In the end, our imaging team is on the point!

Canto makes daily tasks easy!

  • July 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canto makes uploading files and sharing them with others easy. Plus, finding files quickly thanks to the use of keywords and tags is an awesome feature! Folders and albums keep everything organized so even if you don't want to search for a specific file but want to see everything you have for a certain subject, it isn't hard at all to find. The uploading process is easy and it is super quick to upload multiple files at once. It walks you through adding a file title and keywords and tags so that once you upload the file, you don't have to go back and do those things at a later time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Folders and albums can be confusing at first but once you used it daily, it is so helpful to be able to keep everything organized easily. Keywords and tags also need to be added when you upload so it is easier to find things later down the road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I never realized how much time I wasted every day searching for files and having to download them to be able to share them until I started using Canto and didn't have to do those things. Thanks to keywords and tags, searching is a breeze! And sharing files with other straight from Canto saves much time. Not to mention, viewing files straight in Canto and not having to download them saves time and makes it more efficient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Canto is well worth it! Especially compared to Google Drive and Dropbox, this is a wonderful product for file storage and sharing. I definitely encourage you to make sure you are signed up for Canto emails so you can receive their tips and stay in-the-know with Canto.

An Impressive Asset Manager

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and intuitiveness of the tool has been super helpful. There are so many useful features that can be adapted to fit any team. Once you get Canto up and running for your team you can truly make it your own. The simple way to use custom features such as fields, tags and even portals has been very useful for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since there are so many features and customization options, it can be a little overwhelming at first what setting up Canto. It took my team a while to set up our ideal instance and implement fully with Canto. There aren't many implementation guides that I could give to my team either. Once your in Canto the easiest way to learn it is just be spending time with the tool and playing around with the different features that it has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have an issue with finding documents and keeping all our materials in one collective location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be prepared to do a lot of front end set up. Administrators should be familiar with Cantos configuration system before implementing so that it can quickly be up and running.

Canto: The Team Member You Need

  • July 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canto has provided a centralized hub for our teams to collaborate on projects. It has also made our IT team happy by eliminating the need for duplicate files on shared drives that waste space and cause confusion. Having files that are organized correctly streamlines our projects and -- especially during the pandemic -- allows for team members to access correct files when working from home instead of needing a VPN connection to work drives. It has been a game changer across departments. Power users mostly reside in the Marketing, Communications and Business Development teams. Canto's Customer Service has been the best I've experienced by any of our vendors. Our account rep is proactive in staying in contact and making sure we are getting the most out of the platform. Canto also releases new (free) or upgraded functionality quarterly -- sometimes more than that. I feel like they really have their finger on their clients pulses and what they most need and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we've had in our two year history is when renewing our contract, Canto had previously changed the pricing structure from price per item to bulk packaging of functionality. Luckily, the staff was very patient in walking us through the new structure and we are very happy to have signed a multi-year contract with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto saves time, keeps your teams organized and allows for clearer communications directly with your asset files. We have found great value in handling both our archival materials and current assets on the platform. Bonus -- items in cold storage are easy and quick to recall!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend trying it and purchasing portals to add-on to your package. They have been wonderful in sharing assets with non-Canto team members or third-party partners. It's a one-stop shop.

Excellent platform // Minor Adjustments

  • July 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Utilizing it as a way to show off approved assets, materials, inspiration that our designers can look back to and search is great! The tagging feature makes it easy to source and find exactly what you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that there's no bulk-upload option available makes uploading lots of data a drag. Especially if they all fall within the same category. We hate having to wait for multiple things to load and settling for individual uploads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using Canto as our personal Digital Design Library for designers to "shop" around or get inspo for current projects. The benefits are knowing that everything on this platform is pre-approved and good to use for any project if it fits the style/purpose.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really understand and categorize the types of files you'll be uploading. Having a list of things to start off and branch within helps (especially with the folders features!)
