Easy to use and implement
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is user-friendly, and as we've onboarded more users, they have been able to get up to speed and start using the tool very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are aware that we are not using Canto to it's fullest capacity, and while some of that is due to the face that we have not been able to allocate the time and resources we'd like to the tool, any technological improvements to enable more precise auto-tagging would certainly help us to better utilize the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto replaced a shared drive that was only accessible in our physical office or via VPN, so as we have all gone digital in the time of COVID, Canto has MUCH improved our ability to share documents, particularly photos.
So glad we moved our photos to the cloud with canto!
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of access and searching by keyword.
What do you dislike about the product?
The share tool is a little hard to use..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With all of us working from home for the past 7 months, it has been great to have all of our photos accessible in one place.

Great value for the price
Outstanding platform for digital assets!
What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly! Our customers are all over the globe and we are able to provide with them customizable marketing collateral for their business on a platform that they can easily access and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product was out of our budget. We vetted many other platforms and ultimately determined Canto was the best fit for our customers and the investment would help us in the long run.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customer base includes individuals from across the globe. Canto's user-friendly platform makes it easy to navigate for those that speak multiple languages. The upload/download speeds never miss a beat, even considering we have hundreds of thousands of users. Our customers love accessing our content in one reliable place and customize as they go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The team was able to customize the platform to our needs. Take advantage of that option!
Easy and intuitive, overall great experience!
What do you like best about the product?
The system is great looking, very intuitive and easy to navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
The simplicity can lead to user error, such as adding too many similar tags, but that is more a nitpick on the user's organization than the system itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This system allows us to share our Marketing Materials with the franchise branches of the company with ease, and allows for easy removal so that when a document becomes obsolete, the franchisees are not using out of date marketing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Extremely easy to use and great for sharing, if you have a company with a lot of people it's a wonderful resource!
Great for Asset Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is for our team and external partners to share assets. In the past, each area of the business had their own way of sharing, and often times, the latest and most up to date assets weren't being used. This allows our team to stay super organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was more flexibility on how folders were displayed. Currently, they're displayed vertically, by date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The sharing of assets within the organization has been totally optimized. We're the most organized we've ever been in this area.
Customizable DAM
What do you like best about the product?
We use this to offer a DAM to our client. We maintain all of their assets and this allows them to have access to the resources we have organized and optimized for them. One of the features I enjoy is the custom client facing portal that is branded for the specific client, while maintaining a separate branded portal for internal use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to keep it maintained. That being said, new features like Google Drive sync is making great progress in making this a flawless system. Once all of it is completed, I will never need to upload files to it again as anything I save to the Drive will automatically load into Canto!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Client facing custom interface portals are amazing. Easy to design and allow the end user to see a specific version of their own assets.
Awesome asset management
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to store, sort, and access all of our brand's assets from any internet connection
What do you dislike about the product?
Search bar will periodically auto-fill words that I am not typing, sometimes I am not able to search a certain asset without it auto-completing to something else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to keep assets up to date and see previous versions is a huge help.This helps us track changes and view our different deign comps.

Great Platform to Share Media for Digital Marketers!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability for my company to have a platform where we can share images and videos across different teams. I can use content from other marketing teams within the company in my own marketing campaigns. The search bar function based on keywords is very helpful when looking for specific themes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could be a little more intuitive. When downloading pictures, there should be an instant download button at the image page instead of having to click through another page. Also a multiple download option for pictures would also be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to share and use different creatives from different marketing teams haven a huge bonus. Instead of having to reach out to the team, everything is in one place for us to easily access and view media.
Canto Enables Self-Service Access to Imagery
What do you like best about the product?
Beautifully visual and easy to use platform, which was vital to serve our internal sales team who are not super technically savvy. Love that you can organize photos into Portals, Albums, and Collections, as well as tag them with important keywords. It gives you multiple ways to browse and search for photos. I also like the ability to choose the file type and size of your image prior to download, so you don't have to edit the size down later in photo editing software. This platform gave us a solution to having a one-touch access point to all of our marketing approved imagery, and had the ability to keep things gated, so that certain images were available to certain teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some technical glitches every now and then. Photos sometimes default as CMYK instead of RGB, causing people who are not aware, to download a CMYK image and the coloring is way off. Another glitch is when you bulk upload, sometimes the prior settings get transferred over to your new batch of downloads, which is inaccurate. I wish there was more capability in sharing or that their account tiers were more flexible on the amount of portals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all of our imagery in one place, that is up to date, and easy to see. Keeping images in gated silos that ensure only the right people have access to them. The ability to add legal terms and conditions to outside customers downloading images, which keeps us from being liable from any legal repurcussions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an easy to use/intuitive one-stop-shop for housing your photography resources, I'd highly recommend it. Specifically, if you need multiple levels of organization and permissions to different assets.
Canto Makes Our Visual Content Lives Easier
What do you like best about the product?
Before Canto we housed all of our visual content (photos, videos, etc.) on a server that was slow to load previews and made it difficult to access. Canto has made our content browsing both faster and more enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't used Canto for a very long time yet so at the moment nothing comes to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to have wider internal use of our assets and a significantly easier time searching, previewing, and downloading. The ability to also provide links to outside groups as well as the many other tagging and keyword features are improving our processes.
