Efficient tool for team and organizational success

  • November 13, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
• Branded portals
• Share links
• Ease of use and set-up
• Private and public link access
• Meta data and expiration date abilities for assets
What do you dislike about the product?
• Interface could use a modern facelift
• Wish we could have more than 1 style guide (we made multiple brands in our company, and all brands are on our 1 style guide; gets overwhelming)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Efficiency and go-to-market speed
• Helpful for on-boarding new teammates
• Allows internal employees to self-serve via linked portals within our Intranet
• One source of truth with files and assets

Very useful and friendly, best in class asset repository

  • November 12, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very visual
Ease of finding files
Ease of viewing files
The smart way to find the assets
Friendly to share
Integration with other platforms to export
Can choice the quality of the asset
Like / Dislike the asset
Canto is very intent, you can understand the functionality and its features the more you use it, however training with the tool team was a differential, having support in the use of platforms is essential.
What do you dislike about the product?
Excessive steps to successfully save files
Difficulty creating my own groups in a library
No integrations to import assets
Absence of comment field in assets
Could also group creatives by recognition, like Google functionality of similar standards.
The viewing of PNG files for example could be applied on a standard background allowing recognition.
Could have a feature to already export the selected assets in presentation mode, like an album
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An official creative repository, organized by group, which makes us use the correct files.
Ease way to manage our assets.
When using free platforms on the market, we run the risk of security and difficulties in viewing some assets before downloading.z
Canto is safe and ease to manage the content.
Independence in the search for references, while you are confident about the quality and officiality of the asset
In times of data the security of a logged in platform and easy to use is an excellent differential for decision-making in favor of Canto.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Canto facilitates the management of your files and empowers users to use it painlessly and very intuitively.
The platform is a major evolution in the management of creative assets for us.

Canto Photo Review

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Canto's search feature. The facial recognition makes it easy to find photos of specific people. I also like that I can start typing in a key word/photo tag and the search provides a list of suggested words to search for. I can also change the size of the thumbnails and apply filters while I'm looking through photos. The search feature makes it quick and easy to find what I'm looking for and keeps me from having to scroll through galleries to find what I'm looking for
What do you dislike about the product?
When I'm looking through photo galleries, it takes a while for the photos to load. I also found that when I'm waiting for the photos to load, the page will jump back up to the beginning of the gallery and I have to scroll through all the photos again. The interface also seems a little dated and clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto allows me to find the photos I'm looking for instead of always needing to rely on our photographer to send photos. I can find exactly what I'm looking for or find new photos I hadn't seen yet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Canto. It is a lot cheaper than other photo management systems and it is very easy to use. I use Canto at least once a week and it save me and our photographer a lot of time. I am able to find what I need, or freely look through our photo archives without needing to contact our photographer.

Can't live without Canto

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canto's tagging system makes it so easy to find the types of assets we need. We have a really large repository of images and videos featuring a variety of colors, products, and product categories. The tagging system allows us to search by a variety of tags to find the best images for our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the thumbnails could be a bit larger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a huge time saver for us. We were using google drive before and relying on a complicated naming convention system and internal knowledge of photoshoot dates, etc. for organization. Now we can just tag what we need and move on, without having to constantly ask our creatives or photo team where things are.

What do you like best about the product?
All-encompassing features allow for easy upload of photos and graphics for continued use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional lagging when uploading many photos at once or reviewing many photos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have not had to rely on a regular server to house all images and graphics as we can now use Canto as our storing management system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try!

Great Software That Increases Productivity

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ease of use. Our company stores nearly 10,000 videos on Canto and the use of tags and albums makes content searches very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times there seems to be some system glitches that cause the platform to run slowly and decrease download speeds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved a lot of organizational problems. As well as use between many different users.

What do you like best about the product?
Out of all the DAMs I looked into, Canto has the best search functionality which is why we ended up going with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Load times are pretty slow (especially for video). Another thing I dislike about Canto is you are really nickeled and dimed for admin seats. Only "power users" can upload content on their own which means that all other users' functionality is really limited. My company was limited to 10 included admin seats which really isn't enough for us, but adding more seats is not cheap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team was looking to organize our digital media...Canto has really helped that, especially during WFH.

Stable Internet Connection but Slow Download Speed

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Im curious why a ZIP Folder link has to be emailed instead of downloading straight from the browser? All other cloud storage/ digital asset management software allows users to download with one click providing they have permission to access to the assets they're trying to download.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. It took 40 minutes to download 133mb ZIP folder :( Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive have all the same features, if not more, with quicker performance.
2. If a non user is sent a link to a folder owned by an Image Relay user, there is no option to download the entire folder at once. This makes it hard for your users to share "THEIR" files with non users. Other asset management tools have much more flexibility in this regard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my experience, more problems were created.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Choose a reliable cloud storage and learn good file organisation practices

    Education Management

Well suited scenarios such as sharing graphic, design, or media files

  • November 11, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Pros:
Easy to sort and find through folders and search box
The left sidebar is convenient to navigate
Convenient to share the URL to external users
What do you dislike about the product?
Cons:
The loading time tends to take long
The horizontal banner images take up lots of display space
Sometimes the preview function were not working on certain file types
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's being used by the whole organization. Not only does our home office use it internally, we also provide the access to our franchisees so they can look up marketing materials that best address their needs. It's most convenient when it comes to different marketing campaigns since all the items could be categorized and sorted by folders.
