Improve Workflow with Canto
What do you like best about the product?
Canto has robust search-ability, makes every day more efficient, and is a professional way to share assets externally. It is user friendly, and makes it easy to upload, tag, download, and share assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing - I've found it to be incredibly user friendly and have all the features I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlined asset management and sharing. Improved asset sharing externally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Build a robust tagging taxonomy, and have a plan for asset organization going into implementation.
Can Do with Canto
What do you like best about the product?
The Canto application is flexible and easy to use. In addition to ease of use and flexibility, maintaining and modifying permissions, users, and other areas are extremely easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found very little Canto I didn't particularly like; the only changes I would probably make would be a more simplistic interface for some of our basic users. But having worked with Canto for 5+ years, I've seen them make some pretty significant changes, so honestly, it's probably only a matter of time before they make modifications to simplify the interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest issue is sharing videos and high-quality images with my team members. Canto allows us to do this dynamically as a data asset management system. It also allows us to tag the contents with clean metadata. It's very searchable. These factors have increased our ability to deploy web and social media content, share files with many programs, and work with local and national media organizations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is used mostly by our marketing team for storing assets and filtering through files. It makes it quicker and easier to search for images, as well as share the files with agencies and other teams.

What do you like best about the product?
We love having all of our usable photography accessible in one place. The searchability is very robust. Finding and creating a customized asset set to share is very easy and very fast. And the Smart Tags have come in very handy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Cropping and resizing is not as intuitive as it could be, so it ends up being a feature that no one else uses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Canto empowers other team members to search and find their own approved assets. It also makes sharing assets incredibly easy.
Great Experience with Canto
What do you like best about the product?
Canto allows for standardization across the organization by centralizing approved photos and media of each of our properties. I like how it can be a resource for so many different departments that otherwise would not be aligned regarding the visuals it uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to switch between the media and photo portal. This is not a big issue, however, as I only use the photo portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto does a great job of organizing the company's photos and making them accessible across different departments. By doing so, it allows the organization to have a unified approach to branding.
Very helpful staff and good product, but may need some UX/UI work.

Canto is great for external uploaders and the facial recognition and keyword systems is awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX/UI is not very intuitive and I wish facial recognition was including in workspaces.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved using file folders to store all our folders and it is much easier/quicker to find materials for design work.
Easy to use software. I can find the documents I am looking for quickly and easily.

It is easy to search for documents. The software offers various choices.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. I have no comment regarding how well Canto integrates with my other software.

I use Canto to search our graphic documents database. It works quite well.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to go to one place and download and view all the marketing materials I need for the brand I am working with
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes things are not updated or folders are empty. However this is probably the administrators issue and not software issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can go to Canto and have all the info I need for the particular brand I am working with. Download photos, videos and materials like brochures.
Great Product to organize your digital assets
What do you like best about the product?
Batch uploading and tagging of photos makes it easy and efficient to add images to our library. Being able to share images across multiple albums is also super helpful. Having out digital assets in Canto has eliminated the need for our graphic designers to search for photos needed by various departments. It's a huge time-saver. We also like the ability to send a link to external users where they can view and download an image or series of images.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Canto is competitively priced among its peers, the price point is a fairly significant investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Canto we were constantly struggling to find photo assets. Our images were housed on a server accessible only by a few people, and the tagging and organizing process used was clumsy and ineffective. Canto has solved all of this.
An Admin's Dream
What do you like best about the product?
As an administrator of several programs, Canto is by far my favorite. The interface is extremely intuitive and easy to use without sacrificing flexibility. The look is clean and the ease of search for my users is beyond helpful. I get very few inquires from my users about how to find something (that is there), how to download items, or how to share items. I highly recommend trying this out.
What do you dislike about the product?
We should have started with better naming conventions, but luckily mass updates are possible!
