Image Relay is a designer’s dream tool with its user-friendly, straight-forward, efficient format.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Format: The format is clean and efficient. I like that the folders are set up on the left and the images are viewed on the right. It allows a quick navigation through photos.

2. Pricing: Image Relay offers affordable and reasonable price plans without having to email or call for a quote. Most of the DAM sites I research require an email or call for a quote and who has time to do that! Also you get what you pay for and then some with Image Relay.

2. Bookmarking: I've accidentally clicked out of Image Relay several times and when I return to the site, the history immediately takes me back to where I was instead of to the beginning (like most sites). It automatically bookmarks where I was working.

4. Collections: This feature is brilliant. It allows you to present a portfolio to clients in a clean, efficient layout.

5. File Download/Upload: File transfers are very quick even the emails for the links for large zipped files.

6. File Transfer: Since Image Relay offers user-friendly file sharing, I no longer use Dropbox which requires too many steps to share your files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any features that I dislike. There doesn't seem to be any downsides.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are already using a Digital Asset Manager, it would be worth your while to look into Image Relay. After hours of research, it is hands down the best DAM out there.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how user friendly Image Relay is. It's easy to find what you're searching for and from the admin side it's simple to keep everything organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
the analytics. I wish there was more data to view about what users download and the most commonly used assets or what people search for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use this as a digital asset management tool. It's been great to be able to set different user profiles and levels of access and also to provide our users with templates. I also love the Collection feature to be able to share assets so easily.

So easy-to-use!

What do you like best about the product?
I've been a graphic designer in some capacity for nearly two decades, and this is by far the easiest, most user-friendly platform I've used. With an organization as large as ours, it's nice to have digital assets so easily accessible and all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm pretty happy with most of the features. The search function is extremely helpful and the ux experience is fairly intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it primarily to access the digital assets of our organization, so it's perfect for what I need it for.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to have professional pictures of products to use for my social media and e-mail blasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more images of the professional treatments or hands on images of product usage. (I know there are a few with some collections but more would be helpful!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having clear images to post.

    Marketing and Advertising

Excellent marketing file organization

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Assets can be clearly organized into meaningful folders with custom tags for easy searching. The ability to see images of the assets as well in the main viewing panel allows for much easier identification of needed assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to be able to drag and drop folders or files instead of having to select them individually and then scroll down in the options to select the folder to move the asset to. It is a little cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are much more organized as a department now. It is so easy to share assets with external vendors for printing or sharing. Upload links are also very easy to create. All the admin features are very nice.

Client able to focus on value-added creative work with Canto

  • November 19, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Portals are our Client's favorite feature. It enables the Client to stop spending time responding to internal and external requests for assets. The upload links allow the Client to receive assets from external parties in one organized location. Any somewhat tech savvy employee can become an administrator. The admin panel is feature rich, yet the layout makes it very easy to use. Categorization and terms do not require a computer science degree to administer. Configuration can be completed without needing to engage technical support. For PowerUsers and end-users, it could hardly be made simpler. Canto has struck a nice balance between the familiarity of the folder structure and the efficacy of metadata. I think they found a sweet spot that accommodates the vast majority of users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The project management-related capability is not as robust in Canto as it is in some competitor products.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
. The Client was able to move from a multiple on-premise drives and cloud storage services to one consolidated repository for their marketing assets. The Client was able to move from relying on multiple folder structures to a comprehensive tagging and keywording organization system. The Client was able to move from spending much of their time searching for assets, sharing them, and receiving them, to a self-serve model that enables collaboration and sharing of assets inside and outside their organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would check whether your organization intends to rely heavily on a workflow that includes task assignment. If so, Canto may not meet your needs. For any organization that is not overly complex (fewer than 1000 employees, ballpark), and that does not intend to manage project tasks in Canto, I highly recommend this product.

Canto can do it all

  • November 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Canto as a repository for our work. It's great in providing a one place for everyone from the team to access whatever assets they may need. It's critical for a company with large teams of people.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving and creating folders and albums can take some time, it's rather slow. Also, tagging is too manual. I wish it weren't. Shortcuts would be extremely helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to find assets throughout the institution without having to bother and ask other people from different teams. It's a central hub where you can find anything and everything at a very pleasant, seamless way.

Powerful search and organization capabilities in a clean, simple interface

  • November 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clean interface. Powerful search functionality. The ability to quickly and easily create collections or "portals" to distribute assets.
Also love that you can add one file to several different locations withouyt file duplication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it retained the connection between InDesign files and its linked files when uploading. You can relink after uploading, but it doesnt always bring the graphics back into place at the correct position/size.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We now have a much more professional way of giving file access to our internal sales force and dealer network. We can also see the great potential for more efficient creation of design documents.

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Canto is great for organizing a large image library and sharing with others

  • November 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Canto has great albums and folders to organize everything you need by photo shoot, photographer, keywords, etc. Creating outward facing albums is a little complicated, but makes it very easy to send files/links to outward facing clients. Their templating system is also extremely helpful to keep us on brand. It's a little non-intuitive to create and upload the templates, but easy once you learn the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their templating system is through a third party vendor, so when my team had issues with this system earlier this year, there were extra steps required to get the issues addressed. Canto was very helpful and apologetic, but it did take extra time while we were on a deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our most difficult problem is getting new and great photos to outward facing clients in a timely fashion. We currently have a private server we keep all of our images from photo shoots on, but we need to be able to share those easily and quickly. Canto helps us store, organize, and share these images much more efficiently. It makes sharing images across teams quicker as well.
