Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to create folders and keep all of your files organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been using Canto for a year now and haven't found anything I don't like about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of photos. I mean a lot. All of them were scattered all over our network. Now all of our photos are in one place and everything is easy to find
Folder + Image-based DAM
What do you like best about the product?
The primary folder structure is familiar and easy to navigate, and the image thumbnails are clear and quick to load. It's easy to scroll through when selecting an image.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any major complaints, but it would be great to have an advanced AI autotagging feature and an easier way to reorganize existing assets. It's a solid and straightforward DAM but considering there are so many users on my end with varying skill levels, it would be useful to have more help features to improve everyone's experience within the app itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to house the majority of our assets for certain outlets in one place. It can present the files visually, which helps our visual thinkers find what they need.
Digital Assets
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, routineness, and support and service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. The product works as advertised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spacing, latency, access, and up-to-date image files.
Tool isnt a bad tool. But really struggles with UI. Expectations and interactions are not clear.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to spin up and spin down contributors. Also easy to include vendors as needed and assign and remove admin users. We use the link sharing option often.
What do you dislike about the product?
its really hard to follow the buttons and actions to get common tasks done. Hard to understand the UI. I would lean on common UI elements to communicate actions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are looking for better cross-team collaborations and abilities to share files remotely. Also it serves as a place for us to communicate externall and cross different domains.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The tool is good, It will just take some time to learn the functions and UI.
An easy to use platform for housing creative materials
What do you like best about the product?
Using Canto has been helpful for our organization for its easy user interface, search capabilities for finding files we need, and organizing creative collateral, photos and video in folders and albums.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing I'd love to see and miss from previously using Sharepoint as a go to storage space is the ability to share an entire folder that has albums within it, and share an album that shares at the top level so when new contents are added the recipient has access to the new content as well as the old. Right now they would just have access to the old. It's not a huge pain point but a feature I could see being very beneficial as I used it extensively in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped teams find collateral on their own without me having to point it out to them which is a big time saver. It also helps me as the creative director stay organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Create a system with Canto for your org and maintain it.
A Great Photo Organizing & Sharing Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I love how user-friendly the software is. I love how it is cloud-based, so when we are working remotely or in-office I have access to everything I need. I also enjoy how we can upload photos AND videos. It is used by our entire office
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, we have had issues with the loading time for our web browser, I understand this could also be a problem on our end, but I have had the problem on multiple wifi connections which makes me think its canto. At times it is also hard to know if we are uploading a small file or a large file, because canto will lessen quality in image preview regardless
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is helping us solve the problem of sharing photos with others outside of our office, in a safe and secure way where they cannot download them or other access customizations
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to keep your assets organized for optimal usage and navigating
Face recognition and tagging are a game changer
What do you like best about the product?
Face recognition on photos and videos are the best. Search function is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is very very subpar. It's clunky and needs a 2022 overhaul. It won't keep you logged in, so authentication needs to be way better and searching and navigating around folders is like being in a corn maze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using dropbox and had to manually catalog everything and now it does it automatically. So, it's definitely night and day.
By far the best DAM out there!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Canto was the ease of use and the portals. Very easy to deploy and utilize. Very easy to brand. I've looked at many DAM's; this was by far the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
The mass import function needs a little work to be more user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Canto was a perfect way to let our BU's access logos, images, etc.

An Easy and Intuitive Photo Database Solution for Communicators
What do you like best about the product?
Canto allows communicators across many departments in our organization to access photo assets, download them as needed, and quickly see photo descriptions and details for captioning purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Selecting multiple photo assets for download in a .zip file can be somewhat tedious, and folder organization could be more intituitve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy way for communicators across our organization to easily download photo assets for their own marketing and communication materials, with an easy way to grant access to individuals and set custom folders and options.
