The Portals are a GAME CHANGER
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a great tool for us to have all of our assets in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still have a lot to learn about it but that's more on me - they offer LOTS of tutorials!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization issues, sharing information within the company

What do you like best about the product?
Canto's tagging and different sorting methods help to categorize, organize, and find content we need to maintain and share. The visual layout supports allows us to find files and graphics easier than other tools we have tested and tried.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canto has some odd defaults that make it a bit confusing at times. I find myself wishing that sorting preferences could be "stickied". Sorting alphabetically can sometimes switch back to by date on a refresh or on re-opening the window. A very minor complaint, but it can slow down work at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto provides a great tool to upload and share documents and graphics with internal and external clients. By setting up a clear folder structure, and leveraging Canto's Smart Albums and tagging, we can give access to other employees for frequently needed assets. When a file becomes obsolete or superseded, we can keep the history of the file, but only grant other users access to view the current version of the file.

What do you like best about the product?
Organizing folders is great! The AI finding duplicate files is a nice feature. Being able to share folders with different people is a nice function. Portals are easy to build out as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't not ran into any issues yet. We've had Canto for a little over a year so we are still exploring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating different portals for with different folders for different accounts and partners

What do you like best about the product?
I've gone through the DAM-review process twice in the last 4 years. Canto is by-far the most affordable option with the most features. Their team is always innovating this tool and creating new features to continue making their customers happy. Support is always quick to help if there's ever any issues as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be little contact from your Account Manager, but they never fail to answer if you need them. It's just not something that I would consider a true "Account Manager" based on the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's creating a single source of truth for all of our brand's photography, packaging, and marketing collateral. It's creating a system that's easy to organize and helps us know that our materials are being shared securely.
Great tutorials + Implementation team. Tedious implementation process
What do you like best about the product?
I love the people at Canto! My sales rep was readily available to answer any questions I might have, his calander was also very accessible to book. Our implementation rep was also very helpful and answered all of my questions very promptly. She was very thorough in all of her tutorials and instructions for implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides are the uploading process that Canto has. If you have multiple versions of an asset and want to use versioning you have to manually upload each. one. So let's say you want to keep the raw nef file, OG PSD file and the final JPEG well you have to manually upload it in the versioning box. This process is very tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto does come up with new releases. The most recent update had to do with some bug fixes and some small tweeks to the User Experience. However I haven't been using Canto long enough to have truely appreciated those fixes.

The fast response to and resolution of issues!
What do you dislike about the product?
IR needs a watermarking feature for video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attaching metadata to assets and organizing assets is a major plus. IR facilitates productive collaboration with team members.
Very happy with the service for an affordable price for Non-profits
What do you like best about the product?
While it's scary at first, it does get easier to use. Their set-up support is great and very helpful, take advantage of that. They also continue to provide support afterward. For small businesses and non-profits, support is everything. I do have to say that its very important to plan with the staff on how you want to manage the workflow with Canto. For a news org, its always challenging.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when the system takes a while to update and show the newly uploaded assets. I also wish support was a bit more "patience" with non-technical customers and continue providing support until the issue is solved. I also wish their Adobe Connector would support the latest Macs with the M1 chips. As of now, you have to set up your Adobe software to run in Rossertta to be compatible with their Adobe connector. Also, it would be great if they can support more formats such as PDFs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our assets has been very beneficial and time-saving, especially since most of our staff are working some days remotely from home. Also, the price is great as we are a non-profit.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Canto is that it helps store all the company imagery, video, and all creative portfolio of the company including the catalog. I is very helpful as we can send links from the platform to any photographer or videographer to upload content onto Canto. It is very seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about Canto as it is very helpful in all aspects of marketing. It helps us be organized. If I need to work with any marketing or social marketing agency, I can just permit them to access content from Canto and then Voila they can see all the content in all the folders and search photos based on tags, product name etc. and find the exact image category
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto helps me to share content and receive content very easily. Moreover, it helps me stay organized with everything under the roof of marketing. All video, images and creative catalogues and portfolio are under one roof.

What do you like best about the product?
What I find the most helpful are the portals and the fact that you can create links to share documents. Also different users can have access!
What do you dislike about the product?
The beginning process is because of all the tagging and trying to figure out how to best create your folders and albums for everyone to be able to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving me not having to download a lot of files, it's also solving the issue with our sales team of them not asking for tons of request when they have it all in their portal.
No more remembering what folder an asset is in, I love their tagging and keyword system!
What do you like best about the product?
Tagging assets and the preset tags are really helpful so we can easily label products, campaigns, reasons for use, and common items in our assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an easy way to tag people beyond facial recognition. I also don't really understand the permission (approved, pending, etc.)
