Useful but needs some more development
What do you like best about the product?
It allowed our team to place all collateral into one central location, with different versions of internal and customer-facing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It wasn't very user-friendly. I struggled navigating the platform and at times, the wrong link was sent to customers, simply because it was confusing. The number of features at times were very overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefit we strived for with the use of Canto was to have an all-in-one hub for collateral as we created and updated materials.
Great tool to manage our thousands of digital assets in one place
What do you like best about the product?
Fast uploading and stability of the site. I can't recall it ever failed me with connection. The new Ai feature seem promising and love to adapt the technology to our group.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the dislikes were lack of my knowledges on the platform. It's working out greatly after I consulted with the account manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We built WP-base brand center using Canto hosting for our branded materials. We are hosting thousands of digital assets in one place for all employees no matter where are they stationed in. It's working out great.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and I can access all the files I need at any time
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality doesn't always download as it appears
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing
Finding photos and videos is a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Custom fields help tailor the platform for what we search for most. Searching through the metadata is so simple and saves so much time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementing Canto when you have a large library is tedious. Adding the metadata to all content is time consuming but worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Canto we utilizes SharePoint for our asset management and it was difficult to file content and search for it later. Lots of content was getting lost and Canto makes it much easier to search for content and keep it organized.
Best business content storage platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very straightforward in what it does. It's like a digital drive that anyone with access can use, kind of like Files on Mac, but for photo and video content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface could use a little design update and a smoother experience; it gets laggy as I scroll down a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Archiving media files to share with staff or as a record.
Canto is a solid, affordable DAM solution with a nice set of features.
What do you like best about the product?
The customer service and onboarding manager were very helpful before and during the whole process. They were available to answer any questions, walked through test scenarios to identify solutions for our specific business.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite item about Canto would be the mobile app experience. The mobile does work but is not very user friendly, lacks functionality and the UI needs improvement. We often revert to using the browser version versus the app which would ideally be more convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is solving our continual need for additional onsite server space, managing file backups while organizing our assets making them available to all team members both on- and off-site. Using Canto resolves the issues of finding our assets which were spread out across servers, external hard drives, mobile phones, laptops, USB drives, offsite at vendor offices, and more.
DAM Satisfaction
What do you like best about the product?
Being an admin of my employer's Canto account, I'd like to think I'm conscience of the tool as I'm always engaging and involved with the platform. Recently, I logged in and discovered several features were no longer listed in their previous locations. I realized there was a call out box detailing the availability of App Switcher. With a simple click in a new location, I was able to continue my task. I appreciate Canto's ability to keep users informed while upgrading and enhancing the tool. In my opinion, staying informed amidst a consistent enhancement makes for a definite return-user and an improved user engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not ever experienced a disconnect or disliking for Canto. Canto offers its users news article providing platform updates, ongoing enhancements, remarkable online tutorials and a proficient Customer Support team. In addition, users are able to find, organize and share their assets all seamlessly within and outside of the platform. It's all simple and fast. What is there to dislike?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto provides a one-stop location for maintaining proper digital asset management. Providing a secure and safe digital space is key to the trust of the institution's staff, faculty and students as well as the ongoing and increasing population that relies on us. Having a DAM that operates efficiently offers an improved, reliable and seamless workflow for my team of digital strategists.
Canto works well for photo library management
What do you like best about the product?
Canto helps my company easily manage stock photos with the ability to crop, resize, and compress right at our fingertips, without having to open and use another program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cnato can sometimes run slowly or be a little difficult in finding the soecific assets I need, though that could be attributable to my particular environmnet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto is where we store all of our stock photography -- so I can search what I need, then resize and crop right in the same spot.
Efficient, easy to use and robust digital management solution.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of searching and locating what I need. Facial recognition feature alone is very helpful in finding all photos of a particular person. We previously were housing photos in multiple locations. Having the ability for multiple users to upload to the library has been helpful in building our shared library.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers a lot of capabilities which I know I'm not fully using as this is only a small portion of my job and I have little extra time to dedicate to it. Cost may be prohibitive for some, but I think its comparable to other digital management solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better way of organizing all of our digital assets into one central location. I am often asked to gather image collections, find a photo. Our previous method was housing files on various computers which didn't allow for easy retrieval or access to all. The intent was for others to have the ability to search and find these images themselves rather than directing all these requests through one person. I'm still the one handling most of these asks, but it has drastically speed up the amount of time it takes to find what I need. I've also built an all-college portal which allows other uses to find templates, headshots, campus photos on their own.
Overall good software to manage digital asset in one place.
What do you like best about the product?
To me, it is easy to navigate the interface and easy to do collaborations and manage digital assets. I like the idea that the assets are stored all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The structure of the software is takes some times to get used to and familiarized with. The onboarding training is provided but I wish it could be more summarized in points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far it works good.
