What do you like best about the product?
Image Relay is a very robust media management platform that helps us house all of our assets (photos, videos, documents, design files) in one place. It's an intuitive interface which enables us to stay organized and easily distribute any type of media with just a few clicks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, it takes a bit of effort to upload, organize and tag your media, but it's worth it in order to fully maximize the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables better storage, organization and distribution of our digital assets.
Great solution for team asset organization!
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a very user-friendly platform. Our team grew quickly and we needed a place for everyone to be able to access our digital assets. We were able to implement this fast and get our files organized. Now we have a central place to go when we are looking for items for projects. It was probably the easiest integration we had in our team processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the search and share function is confusing. Some of the search depends on how we have it set up. Also setting the nomenclature of the different file capabilities (portals, folders, etc.) is a little cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Canto, we would have folders upon folders of assets in places on our drive. Some of those would be outdated, and unless you had been with the company for some time, you wouldn't know that. Canto has been a great place to make sure we have the useable files at our fingertips. It also makes it easy to share those files with users outside of our team.
A good platform for storage.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use of Canto is really the leading factor in why we chose it for our digital asset management platform. Once assets are in and correctly tagged, finding, sharing, and using them in other applications is relatively easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
As alluded to in my previous comment, if you have all the tags and metadata in your content, it's relatively easy to find everything. Getting to that point with relatively few contributor-level users is challenging when you have a massive backlog of content without adequate tagging. The automated tagging from Amazon is somewhat generic and not as useful as we had hoped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We went into our search for a DAM looking for a way to protect our IP and enable an easier contractor workflow. For the most part, this has been a success. There are still some issues with how folks use the tool and how the data are organized. However, it is a vast improvement over our prior distributed storage situation.
Can be like a jungle to find things somettimes
What do you like best about the product?
The tag feature when searching. I was able to find everything very easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
How easy it is for files to become disorganized, making you unable to find the things you need when you need them.

As someone who manages digital ads, it makes my life easy when I set the ads up, and am able to grab the images or video I need.
Our company's solution to working with bulk assets, team projects and quick organisation
What do you like best about the product?
By keeping all of our company's assets on Canto we have been able to streamline our asset collection as a team and keep tabs on what we have collated. By having everything in one place we have sped up our ability to source assets that support a variety of projects, with an ability to create easily shared folders with external stakeholders.
When we've had issues we've also been able to reach out to Canto support quite easily.

What do you dislike about the product?
As I write we still haven't heard of/ made use of any integration features. As we work with Wordpress the dream would be to have a direct link between the platforms so we don't have a part of the process that sees us uploading assets and then having to download it again for use.
I find that little crashes (especially in the upload stage directly on the desktop) are so commonplace that it's treated as part of the process. An example that is "accepted as part of the process" is when editing to an image finishes, the completion wheel keeps on spinning unless the page is refreshed - the edit always happens, but this is not immediately obvious.
Also there have been some complaints from the wider team that their upload link doesn't work.
Currently we also do not have the ability to provide temporary access to freelancers, which would be a great add.

Previously we didn't have the ability to do quick searches of our existing assets, causing a lot of headache and a great deal of time wasted as we had external PR requests, projects that came up that drew upon existing assets and lots of assets getting lost. Now we know to use Canto as the go-to place to update and keep track of our digital assets.
A Superior Photo and Video Repository
What do you like best about the product?
I love the Smart Search feature. It is highly skilled in searching for very specific things within the imagery, allowing me to find just what I am looking for, whether it is tagged or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to link our rights approval documents and model realeases to a file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a great way for our organization to keep all of our photos and video in one place, allow for access to multiple partners, share out links, and allow partners to upload new content.
Great service and a product that saves me time and makes my job easier
What do you like best about the product?
Canto saves me and my team time by letting us easily sort and find photos to integrate into our projects. The ability to search for photos directly from Microsoft and Adobe software makes it really easy to pull together new marketing material quickly, without having multiple copies of the same images saved in folders everywhere. I love that Canto helps identify photos by adding tags, and the facial recognition means I don't have to manually tag all my staff in every photo.
What do you dislike about the product?
I forget sometimes that Canto is downloading a local copy of photos, which can take up a lot of HD space if I'm not paying attention and clearing frequently. But it's still far better than our old way of doing things. Also, it seems like if I don't force a high-resolution image to be downloaded, then when I export a PDF, it's still a low-res image. It would be nice if I could design my artwork with the low-res preview, and then when generating a PDF, it pulled the high-res version from the Main Library.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have all our photos and videos saved in network folders. This made the process of finding the right image very slow. Now, we can search for images from anywhere, no need to connect to the corporate network. And I can integrate Canto directly with Adobe software so adding an image to my project is just a few clicks away. It's an absolute time-saver!
Could change the way we work for the better
What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful: Easy way to manage and find the right images. Allows good GDPR compliance in terms of permissions and expiration dates. Relating files is a really useful feature. Nice user interface. Very good customer service and always quick to respond.
What do you dislike about the product?
All approval statuses should allow for expiration dates to be set so that GDPR can still be followed even if files aren't viewable to all users. It would be easier if files with asset requests and those without could all be in one portal, without having to create more to link through to. A better way would be to link asset requests to specific folders or albums. And the asset request process is clunky - I wish there was no need to create an asset 'collection' as this is confusing to users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making our photos, illustrations and stories searchable and downloadable to all staff. Helping us stay on top of GDPR more thoroughly.
The best cloud Digital Asset Management in town
What do you like best about the product?
We were looking for a cloud platform which could be use as an asset repository, but above all as a tool to share -internally and externally - our asset with external partners, customers, suppliers.
Canto had a good fit in all of these requirements: it has a well-designed and intuitive UX, it can be easily integrated with our third party platforms and it allows us to store our assets and enrich them with metadata and attributes.
So far, a good choice!

What do you dislike about the product?
Probably its difficulties when it comes to large assets, like HD videos.
It lags a bit with heavy files, but we're pretty sure this will be fixed as soon as possible.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large files management: at the moment the sytems lags a bit, but this is a top priority for Canto developers to fix.
An essential in the organization
What do you like best about the product?
Accessing Canto on the internet is an advantage because we can use it everywhere! Moreover, it allows for better organization and centralization of assets. It is very easy to integrate assets and use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I don't like, just from time to time there are small bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to better organize our assets. To give access to certain people and especially to have only up-to-date and quality assets that can be exploited by all collaborators. It also allows for entering information about photos and videos (location, product, type of varieties...).
