Efficient, User-Friendly Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easily searchable, clean and simple layout, user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is room for improvement in the asset display - even vector files appear blurry and/or pixelated. The appearance of folders in the main library could also be improved beyond a black outline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this as an asset management library. Primary benefits are the ability to preview any file type (.eps, .ai, .pdf, etc), and tag assets so they are easily searchable.
Canto changed the way we use images
What do you like best about the product?
Prior to having Canto none of us knew what images each other had and we didn't know where they came from. Since using Canto we have organized our images in such a fantastic way and it gives all of us access to more images. It also allowed us to give the proper credit to our photographers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't integrated yet with the Adobe products. When we first purchased this wasn't available and it seems harder than it needs to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There were so many times when different divisions were buying similar or even the same stock images. That no longer is the case as one of the business process is all users first have to go to our Canto site to look for new images. This has saved us a lot of money.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you find that your company is losing control of your image library - GET Canto. We have found that having our images organized and easy to access has really helped us in so many ways. Not only do we save money because we purchase less images, but our marketing materials are so much better as we can draw on everyone's ideas much easier.
Great software

I like that it makes my day 10x easier.

I dislike not a single thing about this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the design process issues. I find it hard to gather information and remember but this helps.

Canto DAM
What do you like best about the product?
The "Canto Connect" app made it easy for me to upload all our assets and keep them organized. The application created the same folder structure, so I did not have to spend time setting that up.
What do you dislike about the product?
The items that I had issues with were fixed after I contacted their support. Their support is quick to response and has always helped if I ran into an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are integrating their DAM with our storefronts to make downloading images seamless for our customers.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is a great way for us to organize our photo assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes our vendors have issues with the multiple steps for the advance uploader.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing many photo and video assets.
SImple effective digital asset management
What do you like best about the product?
We didnt want a ton of extras with our DAM, we wanted something that didnt add complexity to our finished asset process and didnt overwhelm the users. Canto does this superbly and provides our users with a great way to access and store their digital files.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UX can be a little misleading, finding specific folders etc but that passes once you get familiar with the product. So far no real disappointments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a place for non-sales assets, a system of record that was searchable and only contained finished materials. Also we wanted to control access to certain items and make others freely available.
Easy to use and customizable
What do you like best about the product?
How easy to navigate and customize Canto is. It is easy to convert into presentations and download photos for separate use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced any problems with the system other than the timeliness that it takes for use to update the information in the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is taking a lot of time and man power to keep Canto updated and recent. It is easy to convert photos into presentation form for external uses.

I like that the program interface is very intuitive and it is easy to organize assets

I wish there were more options for organizing the main library home screen

Being able to archive files to refer back to at a later time. As well as sharing
Canto is Constantly Improving!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite things about Canto are:
-Tagging. Our company has loved the unlimited amount of tags we can apply to photos to improve our ability to search project photos.
-Sharing Photos Through Link Generation. I love being able to select whatever photos I want to share, generate a link, and then send to a coworker/client for easy download

What do you dislike about the product?
We've had trouble with certain albums being unable to download. We're not sure why this is the case but feel like it is a problem that can be fixed soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our business, we often want to share a portfolio of projects that are relevant to them. Canto allows us to customize the perfect portfolio and easily share it with them via a generated link, email, etc.

Get all assets uploaded and sorted before trying to implement within the company.
