Photographer loving Canto
What do you like best about the product?
Canto is a great way for my company to share the images that I take company wide. They are able to see the images by category in folders, and I can set restrictions for images of products that are no longer sold.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints about Canto- my only future suggestion would be to add subfolders
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a great way to organize images for the rest of the company to use. I can categorize them, and put restrictions for use.
Great Asset Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Canto makes it easy to upload files and create metatags quickly to make your files search friendly. Sharing single files or entire folders is quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to navigating the system once you have hundreds of folders and files uploaded. I wish there was a way to color code the folders instead of everything being black and white. It would make it easier to keep track of the current folder you are in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving time having to navigate our computers for files to upload and share with our sales force on a daily basis. They now have access to everything and I can spend my time more productively.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try before you purchase.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that we're able to customize the platform to what we need so easily. We mainly use it to organize, store, and manage our extensive collection of in-house photos and marketing collateral, and it has been a great resource for that!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really - the legwork of setting it up was extensive, but totally worth it to have a system that works perfectly for us!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we need a photo of an inventory item in use, we no longer are digging through files and files to find the perfect one. Instead, we're easily able to search by item or photographer or location and save SO MUCH TIME!
Canto for photo management
What do you like best about the product?
Canto allowed us to create a centralized database of photos from all of our projects. It's easy to access and gives remote field staff the ability to upload images.
What do you dislike about the product?
The design set up of the main page can be a bit confusing and difficult to navigate. Also (not a criticism of Canto), you have to think through the organization of your file structure and the front end and make sure your staff is trained in order to maintain consistency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a centralized database that even those in remote locations can access has been a big win for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you think through your requirements and file structure. Provide guidelines for staff to ensure consistency.

What do you like best about the product?
Working with a large organization, Canto makes it easy for us to organize pictures of any size including TIF images. Anyone in our group can easily access pictures to download without having to have an email exchange.
What do you dislike about the product?
When sending pictures to download through a link in an email it takes a long time for pictures to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Canto provides an ease of access to group collaboration regarding picture sharing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping photos organized throughout the entire organization with the ability for all employees to search.
Overall, Great
What do you like best about the product?
It's particularly useful to have the capability to share upload and download links, whether with others in our organization or with outside photographers, without giving them the keys to the whole database. This keeps Canto functional while still providing us as the administrators with a modicum of quality control (which is very important in an organization like ours).
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I think the navigation is counterintuitive and difficult to use. While it's powerful to be able to store all our assets in one place, keeping them organized has proved difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working in the comms department of a global nonprofit, we have to keep track of photographic assets from more than fifty different projects in over a hundred different countries. Canto makes this very simple.
Time saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Canto has saved us so much time in tracking down and finding assets and freed us up to better use that time to improve other pieces within our business. Allowing more people to have access to final pieces instead of a few people having access to the server to find things has been so helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't been able to find anything we dislike about Canto yet!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time saving has been our biggest win with using Canto - the freedom we have with metadata and sharing to more people within the company has been amazing!

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to add assets to the library and there are a lot of great organizing tools such as keywords, tags, folders, albums, smart tags, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the interface is a little clunky, like the very bossy autofill when you enter tags. Also, if you open an image with lots of tags to where you can see them, it doesn't show all the tags, you need to open the tag area further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have thousands of images we need to go through daily, and Canto has made it possible to organize and search our images saving literally hours each day.
A Game-Changer for our company
What do you like best about the product?
The meta tag and robust search features which allow us to narrow our searches quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
Load times can sometimes be a bit slow during peak times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Information sharing has greatly improved across our organization with Canto. We use Canto to manage our product packaging images and the search function allows people to locate what they need in many different ways
