Secure tool for access to databases
What do you like best about the product?
Secure database access tool, providing granular access for our clients and their data. Every database activity is logged, which helps us meet our organizational auditing and compliance requirements. Easy to install, configure, add/remove access, run queries, jobs, reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
DBHawk tool meets all our requirements - there is nothing I dislike about the tool. The vendor is really helpful and always quick to accommodate our requests, help with issues or provide improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have clients that need direct access to their data hosted on our servers. Prior to using DBHawk tool, the clients would send the request to DBAs, and DBAs would manually run SQL queries for the clients. With DBHawk tool, our clients have access to their data whenever they want, and our DBAs don't need to spend time running manual queries.
Secure and automated access provisioning for DBs
What do you like best about the product?
It is very secure; the best part is that the admin has granular column-level control over who can view what information.
To add, they have API's for everything, which made it easier for us to automate the complete provisioning and de-provisioning of the users and databases on DBhawk.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike. It meets our requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With DBhawk, we can connect to many types of Databases, and our engineers don't need to install any application to communicate with DBhawk, which makes everyone's life easier.
One primary use case for our organisation was to automate the provisioning and de-provisioning of users to the databases, which was long, manual and cumbersome before DBhawk. With the help of DBhawk, we now have complete one-click automation, which gives the user access to the DB and schema they want to work on within a few seconds. All this was possible for us by DBhawk APIs, using which we have automated the complete process. And they have a fantastic support team which is always available to answer any of our doubts. Special thanks to Sameer Patel and Dave Shah for their dedicated support.
