Organization Automation Transformation
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to automate and auto-triage emails has been a huge value add to the organization! It's transformed the experience for the end user, and allowed security to focus on validated suspicious emails and not user-submitted spam.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requireing all domains to be authenticated has lead to workarounds as we outsource some of our security program to third parties that did not consent to the domain authentication request.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fixed a manual suspicious email process involving a shared inbox and ad-hoc review and reply to the submitter. It's improved IT Security's relationship with the greater organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking to automate your suspicious email process and gain a powerful tool to perform triage and hunting in your environment, then KnowBe4 PhishER if a great partner to help with these initiatives.

Stop Phishing attacks in their tracks!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use in not only automated scanning/sorting of phishing emails, but the ability to scan our entire mail system for reported messages and pull them from all user inboxes. I was able to sit on the beach while on vacation, perform a phishrip and stop a phishing attack in less than 5 minutes from first report.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be difficult to configure but KnowBe4 is there to assist!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Strange/rogue emails are reported and analyzed by the system and any email is able to be pulled from users mailboxes preventing the need for everyone to send in a report or bother IT

If you have issues with phishing this is a must-have! Well worth your money.
PhishER, the meeting room for members of your human firewall
What do you like best about the product?
It provides us with the ability to view the history of reported threats. Several of these have been used to facilitate tabletop exercises within our Incident Response Team (IRT).
What do you dislike about the product?
PhishRIP was a great add-on to the product and was doing a lot to provide additional security to our end users. It, however, stopped working over a year ago. I requested status updates from technical support multiple times and still do not have a reason for the failure or an estimate on when the issue will be corrected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are finding common attack vectors coming into our company. It aligns with spear-phishing research showing the primary targets in our company are our executives. It justifies the cost spent on protecting email. It is also a great resource for reporting the attack vectors being used against our organization.
PhishER has helped reduce investigation time
What do you like best about the product?
The automated rating of emails makes finding the high-risk emails a breeze. I have been able to create rules to carry out specific actions based on the risk rating or the likelihood that the email is spam or phishing. Users can forward an email to PhishER or use the phish alert button to kick off the once manual process of investigation automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI is somewhat clunky and takes some time to get used to. Initial setup is required to get PhishER talking to the KMSAT platform, which I wish is built-in natively, but this is not a deal-breaker by any means.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manual investigation of emails and users deleting emails rather than having a way to report them. End users are identifying the benefits as well, with a reduction in spam hitting their inbox.
Excellent tool to help defend against cyber threats
What do you like best about the product?
PhishER helps our team automatically review and triage reported threats from our end users. The email plugin is simple to use and customizable to send encouraging messages for our users to report suspicious emails to our cybersecurity team. I especially like the rules that can be set up to scan and report based on customized filters automatically. Further, we can use reporting features to help strengthen our anti-spam filters.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside for this product is that currently, some of their newer features are not available (as of yet) for on-prem Exchange solutions. It will be great once features such as PhishFlip and PhishRIP are available for on-premise Exchange.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed an easy-to-use reporting tool for users to report suspicious emails to a centralized location. PhishEr has helped us improve threat reporting and also strengthened our user training for cyber threats.
Must have for KnowBe4 customers!
What do you like best about the product?
Allows you set thresholds on emails to auto determine and respond to users if an email is clean/spam/phishing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was able to detect more phishing. It does a pretty good job with SPAM. We may just need to adjust the settings, but then you get false positives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No longer have to wait on an admin to check a submitted email. PhishER can respond for you depending on its score.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Can accomplish a lot with Actions and Yara Rules. Don't be afraid to ask support for help!
Interesting product
What do you like best about the product?
PhishER provides an interesting solution for managing phishing emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think that this product really has a place with small business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm not currently solving any problems with it because I don't think it really was intended for small business.

Prepackaged and tiered templates to utilize.

There is not much that we don't like about it.

Testing and Tracking of real world experiences via Phish email.

What do you like best about the product?
The central console is very friendly to use. I love the ability for users to send this to a central console. The deployment is quite simple and you can probably do it centrally using GPO or any other solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was not able to find a version for other Operating Systems thank Windows, which can represent a problem when you have so many users using Linux or MACs. This is something that they probablye want to invest in the future.

The report back from phishing attemps is is a critical KPI for Information Security that everyone should be calculating

You want to plan this correctly before deploying, make sure the configuration is right so you don't have to do this mulitple times.

What do you like best about the product?
The Machine Learning capabilities. It greatly assists agents in a quick determination if something is bad.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is pretty good but I think there are some things that could be streamlined/improved. I don't really like the tags that the ML puts in. I think those could be better defined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great way to respond to Phishing e-mails and do some evaluations of the e-mails. Helps the agents as a one stop shop.
