Takes the burden off IT's shoulders
What do you like best about the product?
The automation features and machine learning allows us to focus more on mitigating phishing attacks. Users no longer forward us suspected phishing emails to ask us if they're real or not as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just starting out can definitely be jarring. There are so many extra features and things named weirdly that just a quick glance can be overwhelming. Luckily we had someone to help walk us through the basics and build up from there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We no longer have to stop what we're doing or have a user stop what they're doing just to ask a question about emails. They just hit the Phish Alert button and we look at it later.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talking with a KnowBe4 rep definitely swayed us on the decision. They do a great job of demoing their products.

What do you like best about the product?
Create rules for emails to automate flows and emails that users send in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that I have to go through the KnowBe4 portal to get to PhishER, no direct link.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Letting users know that the email they reported is a phishing test and give them direct feed back.
Simple to use software for dealing with complex threats
What do you like best about the product?
KnowBe4 is a simple to use application that allows me as an IT Director to focus on educating my last line of defense...my users. The software is easy to setup and configure, and focus in on the relevant portions of my business.
What do you dislike about the product?
My account manager can be difficult to reach because they are so busy, but that is the price of success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PhishEr enables users to report suspected emails without having to ask IT "Is this email ok?" Once they are educated on the use, they can self service knowing that IT will address their concern.
PhishER is a Fantastic Product for Administrators to Quickly Manage Phishing Threats
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature about PhishER is the ability to automate the workflow of managing Phishing emails. From the automatic Phishing report button to automatic categorization and inbox management. It's just overall a great time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much that I dislike about PhishER but there is one thing that it could use and that is more features. Currently, the suite of features that are available are really great but there is a lot of untapped potential in the platform that could be explored to make it THE ultimate tool for Administrators to manage all Phishing threats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing is a huge threat for all businesses as users are typically the weakest point when it comes to Information Security. PhishER helps solve that problem by giving users the power to report malicious emails and prevent their peers from falling victim to the same email.
Bringing security to the forefront of the organization!
What do you like best about the product?
I am impressed with the vast library of resources and extending and creating unique content for targeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX was a lot to take in at first, but the account reps onboarded us with ease!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The impression that we are "secure". Opening the eyes of executives and setting us up for success with a security-first mindset across the organization.
Allow users to submit Malicious Emails to protect your company
What do you like best about the product?
Having the Phish Alert Button (PAB) on everyone's outlook is fantastic. This way users can submit emails they think are malicious, KnowBe4 examines the email and lists if it is Clean, Spam or Threat. You get notified, and you have the ability to look at the email and resolve it, which helps with the Machine Learning. Also with PhishRip & PhishFlip, you can remove all other emails that came in from you server with PhishRip so no one else will fall prey, or you can PhishFlip the email, which defangs the email, leaves it in the other users' mailboxes and treats it as a Phishing Test email using a real-world Phish. It is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot use it in Outlook Mobile unless you are running Exchange Server 2016 in Hybrid mode or O365. We are still running Exchange 2013 and therefore all of our mobile only users do not have access to the PAB, I whish they had included Exchange 2013 as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users can submit a suspect email without them calling me or emailing me and asking what to do. This has saved me an immense amount of time, and empowers the user. Also if it is Clean, you can have the system email the user back (if you so choose) to tell them the email is clean, without you having to do it. If it is Spam, you can also send the users an email stating it was Spam, and ask them to block it using their email program. These items being automated helps better protect the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
With the huge increase of Ransomware and Phish attacks, you need to train your users how to spot Phishing Emails, and PhishER is part of this process to help stem the tide of malicious emails. Well worth the investment.
PhishER is a great tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I like the test emails can be genuinely tricky and test your judgment of what is real and phishing. Using this for Outlook helps tenfold in making sure employees can keep themselves safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not noticed much about PhishER that I dislike in my time of use. I am not particularly a heavy in-depth user of the program, but from the experience of use I do have, there is nothing I could complain about currently, although that could always change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have had many phishing and social engineering emails come through the company, and the ability to rip them from everyone's inbox has helps drastically in quick response scenarios.
Phisher Alert Review
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that if I click the Phish Alert button, it takes the suspicious email out of my mailbox and sends it to security.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have any dislikes. It is a small button in the ribbon that you don't even notice until you need it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having Phisher has made out users more aware of what they are clicking on. It has made people think before they click. We are currently installing it on Office 365 instead of on prem so I am not sure if the buttons will change,
Easy to install and turn up
What do you like best about the product?
This was a very simple implementation - very intuitive steps to follow and great help from tech support. It is obvious that they have gone thru their software from an end user perspective and have worked hard to make sure that most questions and issues are already forseen and anticipated.
What do you dislike about the product?
We recently ran thru the first phishing campaign to establish our baseline, and while I liked the campaign in general, it seemed like so many dropped in the first few days; it was evident to the user community that something was going on...so maybe that could be done a little bit better. That seems quite nit-picking, but it reflects that I have found very little that I dislike about the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary problem we are solving is to establish metrics that are measurable and reportable. We have done security-based training in the past, but determining baselines and getting a report out on that is excellent. And being able to repeat these actions later and compare the percentages will be excellent measurements of our staff and their behavior.
PhishAlert greatly reduced our "Phish-Prone" percentage!
What do you like best about the product?
In just a little over a year, our "Phish-Prone" percentage went from 83% down to 16% and is still declining. The KnowBe4 PhishAlert button makes it so easy to report a suspicious email that our users are less inclined to click on it. Instead, they can report it via the PhishAlert button and receive quick updates regarding the status of the email; whether it was deemed harmful (and not returned to the user) or not (and returned to the user).
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything yet to dislike about the PhishER button!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are cutting down on phishing link clicks, and our test phishing emails show users are paying closer attention to the links they click on.
