The right approach to content and infrastructure
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate being able to produce complicated query results without needing to know SQL or leave the workbook environment

Omni is solving the Data Bread Line issue by allowing non-technical users to self support while maintaining an elegant semantic layer
Omni is for Everyone
What do you like best about the product?
As a non-technical person who is trying to understand how our customers are leveraging and getting value out of our product, I am always looking for ways to get my hands on data. The data will empower me to understand what happened so I can adjust or predict what will happen so I can better control the outcome. Omni is the first data tool I've used that allows me more freely (as a non-technical person) to do this. I don't have to rely on an engineer to do it for me. In a startup that is moving fast, this is imperative.
Omni has also offered fantastic customer support, the team is smart and very responsive.

What do you dislike about the product?
Thus far there isn't anything I dislike, but only things I would like to see in the system. For example, better ways to see Period over Period performance (so I can see a percentage change), customizable notifications based on performance thresholds would make Omni a very strong tool for GTM folks looking to scale their performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a stakeholder at an organization who is leveraging Omni, I am trying to see more customer data. Omni solves the problem of this living in a black box that is not accessible to me without engineering help.
Using Omni at a startup
What do you like best about the product?
One of Omni's best features is the ease of updating your schema whenever it changes. In other BI tools, this requires several steps in several places that are multiplied by the number of schema changes; with Omni you just click refresh. Omni's customer success team is also top notch and is incredibly helpful with any question you throw at them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Omni is a very new tool, there are still some bugs that pop up more often than in other BI tools. There are also some features that are still under development or missing that would be helpful, such as more organization of saved reports/dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our internal dashboards and reports are built in Omni, so everyone in the company has visibility into key metrics as well as department specific ones. It also allows users to create their own ad hoc reports so the data team does not need to build everything.
Like Looker, but better
What do you like best about the product?
BI tools typically either have a sematic layer, which makes them great for data governance but slow to work with, or connect directly to the data which makes them fast but a nightmare for data governence. Omni has a semantic layer, but also has features to perform quick ad hoc analysis when needed. Omni takes the best of Looker and fixes many of the known pain points.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks some features of more developed tools such as intergation with git.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni is the most effective tool I know for scaling self-service business intelligence. This allows me as an analyst to create a user-friendly environment for the end user, with solid data governance and quick development.

What do you like best about the product?
Omni is an incredibly full featured BI solution at a very reasonable cost. The platform offers several features important to us that are unique to Omni:
- ongoing warehouse sync: Omni can recheck your warehouse and inform you of modeling that has broken due to warehouse changes, providing helpful error messages to help guide you to corrections
- attractive UI layer: Omni's visual design (in our opinion) is superior to competitors
- service: Omni offers a truly incredible level of personal service where competitors seemingly offer little to none. Their team is constantly available in real time for anything from troubleshooting tricky issues to just helping you make your dashboards look better. If you are not already a BI expert, this is in invaluable resource.

What do you dislike about the product?
Omni is relatively newer and as such does not offer total feature parity with competitors who have been around longer. This probably matters to you more when considering what you might lose when switching, but if you are starting from scratch you can build your workflows around their feature set and won't miss a beat.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to Omni, we have had several fits and starts with how to manage internal analytics in our organization. Omni helped us consolidate and mature those efforts into an approach that is more modern, robust, sustainable, and maintainable. We now have far greater inisght across the org into what's happening on the ground level and have been able to incorporate data insights into our daily decision making far more effectively with Omni now in place.

Modern BI Tool at its best
What do you like best about the product?
A super powerful BI tool. Omni addresses many of the struggles in legacy BI tools with novel approaches. The team has built with the analyst in mind so well. With Omni, data engineering can end a step or two earlier and rest of the magic is taken care of by the Omni UI.
I also love how quickly Omni iterates and launches new features. Customer support of the finest levels too.

Given how powerful it is, there's a bit of learning time to ramp up on Omni.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data visualisation mainly. We love the reporting and export capabilities. So it's mostly through omni that we keep our various stakeholders satisfied.
Omni Analytics Makes Data Analysis Easy with Incredible Support
What do you like best about the product?
Omni Analytics is a sweet spot between Looker and Mode. It's easy for your team to use, like Looker, but also lets tech-savvy folks dig into data with SQL queries. Plus, the Omni team is super quick to support and brainstorm on new ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's still a new tool, so there are expected growing pains with missing features. To their credit, they do build out those missing features quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized place for us to access our modeled dbt data.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about the Omni Analytics platform is its ability to unify data. By being able to integrate information from various sources, both structured and unstructured, it allows us to consolidate business perspectives in a holistic way. Its microservices-oriented architecture approach makes massive data ingestion and processing highly scalable. This enables us to constantly refresh the historical data and forecasts that feed our machine learning predictive models
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the Omni Analytics platform provides us with many facilities in general, there is one aspect that I think could be improved and that is the lack of deeper integration with third-party tools that we commonly use. Despite the fact that it allows data to be loaded from different sources, the truth is that being able to connect visualizations or analysis modules natively with our CRM, ERP or other management systems with which we work on a daily basis would greatly facilitate the power to implement in a simpler and more intuitive way the knowledge we obtain from data analysis. This means that sometimes we find ourselves in the need to carry out manual processes to pass the information from one side to another, which implies more implementation time that could be invested in more valuable tasks...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Omni Analytics platform has certainly helped me solve various analytics issues and challenges we were facing. One of the main ones was the difficulty of efficiently integrating the wide variety of raw data generated by our various systems and channeling all that volume of information towards a unified model that would allow us to obtain global visibility. With Omni Analytics' powerful data loading, cleansing, and unification capabilities, I can now more easily centralize both structured and unstructured data. This allows me to have a single truth that holistically feeds my analysis, modeling and prediction tasks
Great BI Tool & Excellent Team
What do you like best about the product?
Omni is an affordable, easy to use tool with an INCREDIBLE team behind it. It is so clear that the team is thoughtfully building out a best in class BI tool that can grow with a company from their early startup days to their enterprise days. From the sales process to the ongoing support, you'll never have any issues with the Omni team and the product. They know what they're doing and it's capabilities are exactly what you want in a BI tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since Omni is new, not every UI feature is built out - but they are quick to implement and have a super clear roadmap. Once I asked for a UI improvement (group labels) and they were implemented into the platform within a day or two. Excellent, responsive team!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Omni solves self-service reporting for our business. It enables users to answer questions and get the daily information they need to answer questions. This allows our team to have a shared understanding of performance and focus on tackling any issues.
