Quick to get going

  • August 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very quick to upload parts and make production level data available. The autocomplete feature is also helpful when importing bills of materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's easy to get a lot of items floating around in the atmosphere, so that there are lots of parts which don't have info
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's acting as our PLM, it's the hub of the latest release of drawings and CAD

    Defense & Space

Exploratory Phase but DURO is awesome.

What do you like best about the product?
The change orders are the most helpful..
What do you dislike about the product?
At this moment I do not have any dislikes about DURO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking changes in our designs.

    Biotechnology

We have been using Duro for a few months now and have found it easy to use and very effective.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easily it integrates with our CAD software (onshape). This makes using a PLM system more streamlined allowing the engineers on my team more time to focus on the design.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few features missing that would be helpful, specifically when it comes to vendor management and scaling BOMs. In general, the support staff are very helpful and can help find work around until new features can be added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small company, we need our teams time to be directed more on the design and implementation and less on the documentation. Duro allows us to move through design quickly while still keeping good engineering records for the company as a whole.

Checking integration with our own platform (Valispace)

  • August 26, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Top level is very simple, the interface is clean and since it is a web UI it ends up being very similar to ours in a way but unique with the use of the color scheme (which is itself easy on the eyes).
I also liked the Solidworks Add-in.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't like that I couldn't bulk update certain values (or wasn't able to) when importing a parts list. If it's possible then it wasn't very intuitive and I missed it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us at Valispace it gives us a live example of an existing integration with a PLM. What makes it better is that it applies the exact same browser-based approach with a very similar UI and workflow.

Great when it works, annoying when it fails!

  • August 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- The integration of Duro with Onshape makes releasing parts very easy
- Support is quick and very helpful when things go wrong
- The website platform is very easy and intuitive to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Duro can still be buggy, but the support team has been responsive with addressing those bugs.
- We are still experiencing cases when the releases don't go through
- I wish there was an option to avoid increasing the revision on a drawing when releasing it. This would be helpful for when you just need to fix a typo on the drawing or update the revision table with missed details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Duro is a good tool for tracking your BOM
- The Onshape-integration is specifically useful for us, as we CAD exclusively in Onshape
- Other teams that do not use Onshape are still able to add their parts to the BOM

Duro made it easy!

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duro allowed me to reference small parts within our larger assemblies, while tracking the cost of each component. This was very helpful as we began to understand BOM cost in a market of rising prices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the User Interface is not intuitive at a glance. I should have used more of their included informational material, but there were some things that were not apparent to me on the surface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duro is helping us understand how the market of rising prices affects our BOM cost, and allows us to visually reference small parts and assemblies. This is allowing us great insight into how we will source parts in the future, and when our design will change.

Lightweight but thorough BOM and PLM tool

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
* Relatively lightweight and easy to pick up.
* Thorough management of part numbers, suppliers, and change orders.
* Efficient usage of imports and exports that allow you to freely move from spreadsheets to Duro to other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
* Somewhat clunky UI, for instance deletion of components in an assembly can be tricky on a small screen.
* There aren't features like CTRL+Z undo or drag-and-drop of items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duro provides a cohesive toolset to provide a single source of truth for our bill of materials along with a standard workflow to approve changes by the relevant reviewers. This helps keep our company synchronized between engineering design, manufacturing, and supply chain.

Good tool and getting better because of responsive team.

What do you like best about the product?
I like mcmaster-carr integrations, paired with the solidworks add in
What do you dislike about the product?
The solidworks add-on is a little clunky sometimes and doesn't always sync well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They're my hardware development database, sole source of truth. It's allowed my team to iterate designs as a unit rather than in pieces that are glued together later.

Duro is Powerful and Meets all of our PLM Software Needs

  • August 24, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Duro's support is amazing, and their software is intuitive and powerful. Getting up and running is much faster than other PLMs we tried.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our Bill of Materials needs to be tweaked for import, but that's a small price to pay for the benefits of using Duro. Altium integration is in the works but not ready yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duro is allowing us to manage our full product BOMs giving us greater insight into our supply chain needs and allowing us to manage all the variants of our product line.

Great team, constantly improving products

  • July 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The young team has created more mature products than imagined, and is willing to develop features together with guests, so why not try it?
What do you dislike about the product?
If they had to figure it out, it might be in the development cycle of a new feature, they need more support so that the expansion team can deploy the new feature as quickly as possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a basic PLM system, it has all the required functions. The team helped us customize some of the content.
