Jamf is simple and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jamf is it's ease of use. Once its all set up, it makes it very simple to find devices and act on them.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are several user interface issues that make working on particular actions more tedious than it needs to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Total management of Macs and iPads for security and uniformity.

What do you like best about the product?
Zero-day support. With all the new macOS and iOS updates this is huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little thing: Viewing Smart and Static groups, just make the first click viewable and second click editable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compliance, Security, enforce critical security updates to macOS.
Makes Managing Apple Devices Simple
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to create packages and make them available in Self Service. Makes my job way easier and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't really think of any downsides at the moment. This is probably more of an Apple problem than anything, but I really miss fast Thunderbolt re-imaging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing devices in a 1:1 environment would not be possible without JAMF. We have been using it for a very long time so there are numerous benefits. Locking down devices, deploying software, asset management, the list can go on and on.
My life with Jamf
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf provides a powerful, efficient and robust solution for managing our Mac fleet and deploying software to our customers (users). The layout is intuitive and clean, allowing for easy access to the parts I use most frequently and allows me to intuitively access new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Jamf is the inability to use the same Apple Business manager with multiple MDMs but I believe this is a problem with the token itself and not the Jamf platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf allows us to efficiently administer and manage our Macs. As we have few people in the department, it allows us to maximize our productivity and minimize the costs involve with having a large admin team.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the support offered from jamf, as well as access to jamfNation community. all around the best tools. day one support. cannot recommend enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly this is much harder to answer than what I like. If I had a request it would be for a dark mode in jamfpro
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use jamfpro for everything, we manage 6000 iPads, 5000 MacBooks. it has solved every problem there is.

I like the ease in which you can install Apps for ios devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we had the option of selecting multiple policies/config profiles to apply when we are viewing a smart group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Standardizing deployment of MacBooks and iMacs, controlling what apps are installed on iPads has definitely been beneficial.

Why Are You Not Using Jamf Already?
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is easy and intuitive! They have a great support team for any questions or issues you might run into and are always ready for day-zero support! Their new App Installers feature saves me so much time not having to download, re-package, upload, and push out updates... they just do it for me!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't speak to any major dislikes or disruptions to my workflow that I have come across.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to get our users computers pre-enrolled, setup, and configured to meet our institution standards without user interaction and and ready to go once the user receives their computer. If I see an issue with an app, I can deploy an update or rollback to all our users very quickly. I am also able to apply profiles to automatically have certain privacy settings set so the users do not have to worry about misconfiguring and apps not working as they expect.
Powerful MDM with frustrating support
What do you like best about the product?
Device management! Simple payload creation/deployment. Supervision of devices and my simple favorite "Prevent Activation Lock" Ha! My college has been increasing their purchasing of iPads and Prior to Jamf we were using Profile Manager, that was rough. We've been using Jamf for about a year now and over all it's been great!
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a few very frustrating support tickets. In one case regarding LDAP created user accounts not being able to login the support team in short kept reply with illogical troubleshooting and it took about a month to get elevated to a team who could actually log into our Jamf Pro instance and troubleshoot. To shorten the story our configs and ACLs were correct there was a patch released that solved the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of mobile devices and streamlining deployment. Automation of FileVault 2 and storing of keys as well as software deployment made easy for various lab environments with PreStage enrollments.
JAMF - The BEST Apple MDM Solution
What do you like best about the product?
The best parts of JAMF Pro is the unlimited potential of managing Apple machines in your environment. Since macOS Catalina has just released, I can reflect on how easy it was to make the macOS a restricted one until my department does further testing. Deploying applications can be just as simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there are a lot of open source information on provisioning, it can still be very challenging to get a grasp on. I would like to implement a new provisioning system for my environment but it will definitely be a great challenge. Kind of would have expected it to be much simpler being JAMF.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Restricting applications / macOS upgrades have been so easy and smooth to control. I think that is my favorite easiest feature. You may be able to do it in other MDMs but in JAMF, it is as simple as typing the application's name, and done.

JAMF is to Mac, what SCCM is to Windows.
