Easy and powerful tool to manage your site.
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is always improving. It's easy to manage my site computers with updates and also self service. During COVID it's been even more important to leverage Jamf to support my community.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel I don't take full advantage of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to send updates to my staff computers, or leverage the patch management to keep the computers up to date. For less used installs I can place programs and setting into Self Service. I've also made use of the PPPC Utility to control security settings on my managed devices.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jamf makes it easy to rebuild and enroll computers. It's an excellent tool to manage existing technology.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf has allowed us to maintain hundreds of Apple devices right from our desktops without having to put hands on those devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve to Jamf but once you have it, life is so much easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am installing and uninstalling apps on our users' devices without taking the devices away from them. Jamf offers a lot of benefits and features to our users, giving them more access and support in real-time.

Jamf offers a lot of support and has a great community who shares their knowledge with each other. Make sure to use those resources.

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is an essential suite of tools that I use daily. However, the best feature of Jamf is the forum. Jamf Nation makes success possible even in challenging and changing situations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Pro is often compared with other products. I dislike that it can be difficult to differentiate what key aspects of Jamf Pro make it the best choice when compared to products that are given out for free by competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am managing a large fleet of Mac computers that are being used by a highly mobile workforce for multiple customers. Jamf Pro streamlines management tasks.

Jamf Pro is a full featured life-cycle management solution for both iOS Devices and Mac computers. Unlike many competitors, Jamf Pro is a complete solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Self Service is the secret sauce in this MDM plus suite of tools. Provide your end uses with resources to get information, software installations and updates, utilities and script tools and apply policies and configuration profiles. Make this your one-stop-shop for everything you can and the service desk will notice a significant drop-off in support calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Jamf Software Server (JSS) is undergoing a gradual redesign but it still needs work to provide a consistent user interface throughout. It should have the same sorting, searching & selecting interface in all views. It's not there yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With limited amount of time, like all of you, running the paperwork hurdles to get clearance to apply updates and patches to our fleet would take another full-time position. Self Service permits us to make changes on the user's schedule without a massive company-wide change. Works iteratively!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's good. You'll get more out of it if you've got someone managing it who knows Macs, of course, and has some shell scripting skills.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Excellent Tech support and resources. They are always working hard to give customers more of what they are asking .
What do you dislike about the product?
Not enough control over device settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization more management over devices. Inventory of devices and apps. Remote access to devices off-premises. Security and location of lost devices. I can manage student Apple IDs with the help of the Apple School Manager. Apple and Jamf are working closely together.

A great way to quickly enroll many devices. It is very user friendly. Easy to implement your users individual needs. You do not need a great deal of technical background to get it up and running.
Incredible tool. And it's the only tool we need.

I single-handedly deploy apple products at our k12 district, 40 macs, and 100 ipads. from box open to the recycler, we use Jamf Pro for every step

I have no complaints about Jamf, their employees, support staff

We primarily drive a set of apps for a specific curriculum without users needing any other tool

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf seems to be the market leader in its ability to manage the full spectrum of available configurations for both Apple computer and mobile devices. They have clearly had a close knit connection with and work seamlessly aside one another which shows in any support case I've had to open. There never seems to be the typical separation of responsibility like what is often seen with other manufacturer/solution providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't say that I have anything bad to say about JAMF. They've been amazing in every aspect, and when things don't go as planned, their support is quick to respond and dive right in alongside Apple to resolve any issues that may arise.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use/mass modifications and how it can integrate allowing for zero touch setup. The fact that I have remote access to the system and can make changes when not in the office is a huge benefit. The ability too restricted what can be accessed and have the logs to show to administration goes a huge way in showing misuse of hardware. The flip side is seeing what hardware is being used and when last used is critical in knowing what needs to be upgraded or where the school district can save money on the next round of replenishments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some times having to move all over the place to find things, it would be extremely helpful if static lists work the way adding users/computers to policies was. Currently when editing a static list it show all computers until you filter. This is the same with trying to update scripts at times as you have to open another window to access the script of editing/viewing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mass updates and policy changes, being able to send software out to all computers without having to touch every single one. The greatest benefit was seen last summer during a refreshment of 400+ systems. Using Zero touch with Apple and Jamf allowed myself to save close to a week of tedious setup and configuration.
Being able to provide software to students and he/she being able to download what is only allowed is huge is saving both time and resources.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
While the setup and cost can be overwhelming myself and my predecessor both agree that if the system was not in place at the school I would need a second person to help manage the computers or installation, setup, new users and changes.
The last three months (covid) have been eye opening in how JAMF has been critical. As it as allowed for remote software install (Self Service), policy/configuration updates.

Quality support with effective device managing tools.
What do you like best about the product?
Self Service is amazing for our environment. It allow us to quickly get machines out to users and staff without having to install all the software beforehand. When Jamf added the ability to customize Self Service, we could know brand the application to fit our company. Once Jamf added the mobile interface - having the ability to make changes quickly on an iPhone or iPad was effective when having to make a change without a desktop/laptop. I must also mention the community behind Jamf Pro - Jamf Nation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Web interface can sometimes be sluggish when opening Policies or Profiles, but this can be down to what server you're running it on. There isn't much to dislike about Jamf Pro besides small, here and there, quirks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to manage Macs and iDevices in a large environment. Jamf Pro allows us to schedule check-ins and push important updates to all our machines where users may not be a local admin. It's been 10 years since we started using Jamf Pro and it's come along way. We highly depend on the resources on the collaborative Jamf-Nation forum to tweak our workflow and environment. The community that is built around Jamf Pro is dedicated and hardworking to find proper solutions to worrisome tasks.

Take the plunge! It's amazing what Jamf Pro can do - request a trial and fiddle around with the settings. Test, test, test! You'll be surprised at what you can accomplish on a large scale with Jamf Pro. Be sure to read the documentation! It's vital to understand how MDM works and where Jamf Pro fits in.
Jamf Pro-An easy, reboust Mac management solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface of Jamf Pro and the ease of use in terms of making policies, profiles etc. The interface has a nice, simple layout and makes the options obvious, which in turn makes it easier to get where you need to be.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes as of now. Jamf Pro does everything we need in our organization.

Managing over 100 Macs. Pushing software, updates, compliance policies.
