The product is good, the team is great
What do you like best about the product?
The product is very flexible and does what we need it to do, but the support team is great. They're very responsive and willing to lend their expertise to solve our business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of some of the features isn't what I expect so it sometimes takes reading the documentation to understand where to find things abd what features are called.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use FusionAuth in a few ways, the most important for us is to act as a SAML intermediary. We configure FusionAuth as a ServiceProvider for each of our customers and our application can use FusionAuth as an upstream IdentityProvider. This reduces the effort of customer implementations significantly and allows us to focus on our business instead of authentication.

Developer focused, highly customizable, fair priced
What do you like best about the product?
Was super easy to integrate. Dev team was able to provide adequate support to get things off the ground
What do you dislike about the product?
Some issues found with the product have been reported an taking longer than expected.

Offload securing passwords and user accounts. Leverage using other authentication system thru SAML
FusionAuth has been a great solution for replacing our original provider.
What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth has been very easy to integrate with, supports all of our requirements, including a vendor supported terraform module, and the admin/management UI is easy to work with and navigate. Developers were able to adapt easily to the new provider and new features have been very easy to implement. Their customer support has been fabulous when we needed them. We utilize FusionAuth for all systems in all environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one nagging bug that we would love fixed that happens rarely but it's a difficult fix I guess and still has not been released.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FusionAuth is our authorization system for our applications. It helps us meet our compliance requirements and requires no real management from us. Our customers like it because of the seamless SSO support and MFA capabilities. It's available as a SaaS product which we use for most of our applications. For a very few specialized deployments which frown upon using a cloud offering, we can deploy FusionAuth in a container and meet those requirements.
Easy authentication management for thousands of system users
What do you like best about the product?
Having the option for FusionAuth to host our solution in a single-tenant format giving us total confidence in uptime and availability. Add to that integrating robust security features with easy, out-of-the-box solutions like MFA and SSO. Implementing was well supported and fairly straight-forward - on the essentials plan we had helpful support on the timeline we agreed to. In our migration of 10,000+ users they never missed a beat with the just-in-time migration option keeping our solution online throughout.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a wide gap in support levels between the Enterprise and Essentials tiers of the service and we would have loved a more middling option with quicker guaranteed turnaround during business hours but not requiring 24/7 access to support. Otherwise our experience so far has been very positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prior to FusionAuth we handled IAM in house and being able to confidently put it in the hands of professionals is exactly what we were looking for. Also being able to add included features like MFA and SSO has been huge, allowing us to continually deliver value to our users with very little lift on our engineering team.
Flexible authentication and authorization platform with excellent support and great documentation
What do you like best about the product?
FusionAuth documentation is great. Authentication is a complex subject but you will quickly gain a good level of understanding of how to implement FusionAuth in your stack with the way their documentation is structured.
Their support is excellent. In fact, I think it's the best support we have accross all our third parties. Yes we pay for the 24/7 support, but the fact remains that they take the time to actually understand our issues and go over potential solutions with meaningful suggestions be it via chat or video calls.
FusionAuth API is robust and well made.

What do you dislike about the product?
The FusionAuth admin dashboard is not great for troubleshooting and monitoring users.
We needed to build a lot of internal tooling with their API to meet our needs. On the other hand, their product needs to be generic enough to cover most use cases and flexible enough (through their API) to cover more complex scenarios. However, I still feel like the dashboard could offer more information regading user sessions and user tracking (tokens issued, information added in these tokens, etc).

Operating an up-to-date, and reliable authentication system with low effort without sacrificing on security.
Our core business is not building an authentication service.
With FusionAuth, we save time and effort on complex auth infrasctructure that we can reinvest in core features for our customers.

Customer Service experience is top notch!
What do you like best about the product?
As a Developer, I asked for assistance and they did a great job providing answers and suggestions on how to accomplish my goals. They were quick to respond and provided great feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't experience any negative issues.

We use it in our cloud application for user access and backend processes.
Integrating FusionAuth With A Django Application That Is Already In Prodiction.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about FusionAuth is that it provides a way to easily adopt its features incrementally. This is a lifesaver if you are switching authentication services while an application is in production.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have two critiques that relate to the Python client specifically. First, the login function returns a JWT, but not a refresh token. This behavior, however, is documented, occurs across all SDKs, and the documentation provides a workaround. Second, I wish the docstrings in the Python client referenced which API endpoint it was calling. I feel this would have saved some time in constructing the necessary payloads given their size and complexity, .

The particular client we are doing this integration for is a FinTech startup serving accounting firms. Their clients range in size from solo practitioners to extremely large firms. These larger firms have established authentication solutions (mostly Active Directory). Smaller firms do not necessarily use any authentication solution in particular, however, our client still wants to enforce some additional security measures, like MFA, even if such measures are not implemented by their client firms. FusionAuth abstracts the implementation details of these desperate client authentication systems nicely; allowing for a consistent authentication flow at the application level.
Furthermore, this client is currently pursuing their SOC2 certification. We recommended using the hosted version of FusionAuth because it has already achieved SOC2 compliance. This allows us to lean on FusionAuth's SOC2 guarantees during the client's SOC2 review period.

The benefit of Fusion Auth is that it helps your business save time and resources by optimizing ID management processes and user authentication. It also offers reliable security features such as multi-factor authentication and password-free login options. Overall, Fusion Author provides our company with a safe and effective way to manage user ID and improve user experience.
Excellent product. perfect for identity and social login integration
What do you like best about the product?
The product is easy to use, fast to get up and running and; is scalable to different use cases
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we haven't encountered any issues, with regular updates I don't expect we will either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure registration and identity of customers. Faster registration processes with the use of social logins.
A perfect fit from every angle, and brilliant support on top
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of deployment with a docker image is wonderful; it fits our environment perfectly, and we get to self-host and have all the freedom in the world with how we deploy it. The theme UI seems awkward at first, but you're not likely to use it often; it does the job well. We've managed to re-design the pages to fit them neatly into our branding without trouble. With Fusion Auth, all plans, you can keep adding as many Identity Providers as you want at no extra cost - this was our main issue with other CIAM providers as they demand increasingly unreasonable fees. Above all, their support has been outstanding - it is worth starting with an essentials plan and setting up your environment, then getting in touch with them for a helpful nudge in the right direction for anything you may need.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been through a few providers, and it isn't easy to point out something wrong. Perhaps the form for setting up an IdP is a bit disjointed with the tabular structure on the bottom and the form on the top; not sure why that choice - but it's a minor observation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Fusion Auth as an authentication broker, connecting our existing systems and authentication with the various IdPs our clients operate. It's an excellent seamless step between the login screens once set up, and it solves the problem of implementing multiple providers and their protocols. The event log is great for troubleshooting, so we can quickly and easily set up a new identity provider when needed.
