What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise is a developer-friendly translations tool. They seem to understand the pains involved in the translations process and try to make the best experience around it. Their API is modern and helped us create a creative solution for translations + They have a branching feature that allows making translations in isolation per feature. The support they have provided was helpful, friendly and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some small functionalities are still missing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have utilized their API + translations branching feature to improve our translations process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best translations tool i have found out there

What do you like best about the product?
Quick Support answers.
Snapshots.
Pretty Interface.
Chat.
History near each translation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like more flexible search, for example:
Show me all keys which where translated in German, but not translated in Poland.
Show me all translations (keys), which were created/modified by the following Contributors. (by me)
Show me changes () from last download/upload/integration.

I would like somewhere an option (in Settings) that created tasks should not lock keys for deleting (during integration).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Lokalise to get translations for our Products.
We use integration Lokalise with GitLab. All process is almost automatikally. It is easy and quick.
The interface helps us exclude misprints in ts-files like (misprint in tag name )
Also, when I doubt in translation, I use History to check who did this translation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I prefer to choose in settings the language of Lokakise interface, or can translate the interface by myself and implement it.

What do you like best about the product?
Very friendly and easy to work with. Also the integration with the current systems was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some bugs with permissions and branches, but it's a Beta feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to make translation process smooth and as easy as possible. We couldn't keep working with Spreadsheets for that.

Easy to use yet very powerful w/ affordable pricing

What do you like best about the product?
Working with lokalise is incredibly efficient. It feels like you don't waste a click and get done with filling in the missing translations in the shortest time possible.
lokalise is also extremely powerful and can cater to even complicated demands. Yet they manage to keep that out of your way when you don't need it, which is no easy feat.

Superb customer support: I have repeatedly asked complex question and got very competent support literally within minutes. They have always managed to solve my problems.

Affordable pricing: lokalise was the most affordable solution not only for ourself, but also for two other companies, to whom I recommended lokalise. Also, the free tier worked for us for quite some time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have the ability to automate the syncing of translations between our app and lokalise in the Lite plan :-)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Allowing people to work on interface copy and translations without having to work with the source code
- Improve translations with the provided suggestions
- Manage common keys of a large number of separate translation files (> 100)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
do it

I wish people would recommend our product as much as a I recommend Lokalise

What do you like best about the product?
Previous to Lokalise, we used tools that gave us very little visibility over localization. They felt like a black box, and there wasn't a lot we could do about it.

Since moving to Lokalise, we have revamped our internationalization and localization process. Lokalise has given us all the tools we needed to smooth the process and finally improve the quality and speed of our translations. Lokalise's support team has been extremely useful, always responding in a few minutes and with great detail.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've come across a few bugs
Duplicate finder could be improved, although I'm glad it exists
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving context to keys
Merging keys that are shared between iOS and Android apps
Managing translations history

A great localization tool, with advanced features and complex options, though quite user-friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
The powerful multi-language editor, with the ability to quickly and efficiently look for a translation, review it, modify it.
The multi-projects aspect too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had issues with importing translation files in the past, with columns being ignored / badly imported, special characters not being treated properly or blank space added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are concurrently leading two big localization projects, one for our main website, and one for an agency project of ours, with different languages involved. Some of the text is present in both projects, but them being our first real ventures into localization, the help of a professional tool such as Lokalise is invaluable in making sure everything goes smoothly and we do not miss anything important.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Lokalise is a great localization tool, that comes with a complete package of features and options to let you handle your translations and localization process the way you see fit.

Translation Operations across platforms

  • January 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease and outreach of our translation strategy could not have been deployed without a tool like lokalise, across both web platform, website, mobile apps..
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have a plugin for CMS platforms as we also have that in our portfolio and its our main painpoint as for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all teams involved in the translation progress has enabled us to establish a translation operation strategy that has boost our language outreach far beyond our expectations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are running any software platform, application in different languages, with a mid-to-large team, this product is just prefect. Even for small wording changes on the default version, it made our life easier not to rely on dev-ops for those changes.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use for both tech team and our translators.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin section is bit confusing, it wouldn't hurt to have tooltips or more clear descriptions here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before it was very manual to add/change translations, now it is super simple and we can easily make edits in translation without bothering our tech team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Not sure of other competitors of Lokalise out there, but we are satisfied.

Lokalise makes our life so easy

  • January 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We started using lokalise for our iOS and Android App 3 months ago, and I wish I had used it since the beginning. I have never used a software that brings so much value for the price it costs.

For instance I like the ability it provides to correct a mistake or try new texts in our iOS and Android app in seconds, without the need to submit a new version to app stores. We save time and money, we don't have to worry about leaving mistakes on our screens until the next version.

Not mentioning how easy it becomes to translate new texts with auto translation and have it validated by the reviewer of our choice.

Our translators love to work with Lokalise because it makes their job so easier. We are currently translating our app in 6 languages. We have more than 3000 keys and 60 000 words, but it keeps this task simple!
What do you dislike about the product?
-It is a bit hard a the beginning to understand how it works in apps (how lokalise strings will cohabit with local native strings inside the native app and what string is the going to be used by the app)
-I don't know how to count words in a specific language for a set of keys
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating our apps, and merging the similar keys form iOS and Android in common inked keys to divide the translation cost by 2.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't wait too much, the sooner you get the solution implemented the less work it takes to implement, and the sooner you gain from the benefits the solution provides. No hesitation. I recommend.
