We manage properly the localisation of an opensource software suite (openIMIS), it enable the collaboration of non-IT people thanks to the easiness of use
Very good localization system!
What do you like best about the product?
As a translation company, the feature we like the most is the simplicity of the platform. At a glance, you can see straight away the different projects/tasks created, languages and its translation progress as well as the word count. The filter option is very effective too in checking how many untranslated or unverified keys left so it's easy to track the progress or completion rate of the translators.

Lokalise allows us to work with our international collaborators easily and directly pulls their contributions into the codebase.
Fantastic tool for localisation and internationalisation
What do you like best about the product?
The setup is a breeze. Just import your internationalisation files, set which languages and locales you want to support, assign your translations and off you go.
But you not only can upload your languages files, you can also upload screenshots of your UI and then map the labels in the picture so you can show them in context. This has improve the quality of our translations 10X.
As you translate labels various automated translations are presented taking into consideration labels that you translated before and translations from various translation engines (Google, MS translations, etc).
Quality controls for translations is very well thought out. If a label changes in its original language, then all translators from other languages are notified to rectify translations. You can have translator reviewer and also clone languages to create new localisations.
When multiple translators are working together, having a section for comments/debates on what best word matches the context is very very useful. Also they have dictionaries that you can implement within each of your projects.
Exporting translations into code can be completely automated with APIs and web hooks making integration within your existing code very simple.
Additionally, they are about to implement branching so new labels in various branches will be an option so internationalisation and localisation will follow code development! Can't wait for this.

I don't think I have found anything that I haven't like.
Perhaps a suggestion would be to add video along with images for projects so translators can see forms workflows and better assist translators with context.

We are an Educational open source software that supports translations to 30+ languages with well over 70+ translators.
Lokalise makes the coordination of all the volunteer translations a very easy process.
Also, by using their APIs we can automate the process of adding, export and committing translations into the code.

Great customer oriented company
What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise is truly customer focused company. The customer support is amazing. The support team is very responsive and the communication is very clear too. Our account manager (Alesya) went above and beyond trying to understand our specific API integration use cases and provided clear responses to each of the item of feedback we had.
Localise UI is amazing in my opinion and offers very good translation experience. It's very intuitive and it's very easy to use as well.
Service prices are very "democratic" and are affordable even for small companies with complex localisation needs.

What do you dislike about the product?
We missed a couple of small features that we previously saw in another provider. Those features were specific to our custom logic and our very custom API integration workflow. On the other side Lokalise provided some unique features that our previous provider didn't have before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have API integration with a couple of internal platforms such as CMS and a service for customer notifications. This allows our company to have seamless translation experience and produce localised content very quickly.
Very translator-friendly interface & kickass Customer Support
What do you like best about the product?
The translation suggestions and the way TM is handled works way better than the tools I used in the past (Transifex, MemoQ, WebTranslateIt). I also find it to be the most translator-friendly interface and appreciate the option to ordere translations for different budgets and needs.
Until now, I could find all features I need and am used to from previous tools.
Also, a very responsive and competent customer support!

What do you dislike about the product?
The project and translation management has its pitfalls, but I haven't seen it better in other tools either.
I would be happy to be able to lock formal/informal (du/Sie; tu/vous; etc) for each key and for the translation suggestions so that our external translators do not keep on mixing it up.
I would also like to be able to define and share a style guide beyond glossary for external translators using the platform.

We are translating our mobile apps for millions of users to almost a dozen languages.
I also use it to translate use surveys.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's especially great if your in-house translators are not super skilled in localisation and/or if you need external help with translations but have no resources to build a translator pool yourself.
