Most comprehensive tool suite I've seen

  • December 15, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
My team had to switch over from POEditor to Localize (Lokalise?) after realizing that POEditor does weird things during import/export with css, tags, etc. It was turning into a nightmare and so far, Localize has everything we need. No complaints so far.

I haven't explored all of the possible tools/features yet, but for our mostly basic use cases, it's working great.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that I wish they would add MFA (2FA) to the basic plan.

Strong feature set with the best developers support

  • December 10, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The core product covers the most I need from the localization platform. And it has even more to surprise you. Some things are not tailored for the all use cases. But the support team carefully listens and helps you with current solution. As well developers are working on the most requested feature set.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hell expensive. I don't know any other platform that is not so affordable for the small business.
With the popularity of the system the feature request will take ages now unless it is also request by many others.
I'm missing also general recommendation how to handle translation process. It is probably impossible but I would except at least some use cases and tips.
Some use cases are not covered, for example a gradle plugin is missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have centralized place that handles localization that is super convenient to use. No more string duplication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Schedule a meeting and tell about your requirements and thoughts. You will get a lot of good suggestions and tips.

    Information Technology and Services

Multifunctional, lot's of features.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick support response, many functions, provides translation-related detailed statistical information.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit complicated to use at the beginning. Minor bugs available. Although provides basic character limits function, but is not well integrated with UI/UX tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less back and forth questions and clarification, all translation-related requirements can be placed in one task. Possibility to link with the products' internal tools, which helps transfer information from Localise to internal tools easily and accurately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would definitely recommend, very functional, with technical solutions. Very good support team.

Great experience with Lokalise's account management team

  • December 08, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
I have been most impressed with the level of support offered by Lokalise staff, from the chat team to our account manager who has always been very responsive and helpful and took the time to explain things in detail at times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't identified anything that I can say I dislike about Lokalise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localisation of our content in over 20 languages and great leverage of TM. We have also received good feedback on the quality of translations ordered through the Lokalise in house translations team. Insurance content can be tricky to localise but we have been happy with the results so far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My recommendation would be to use both the platform and their localisation services as their translators.

Excellent localization tool, full of options. Fast and efficient support team.

What do you like best about the product?
- Powerful and reliable product: it has anything you need to ease the localization management.
- Picture context (a must for us): will improve the translation quality.
- Great bulk task options: tagging, verify translation, clear translations, pseudolocalize, fill with Translation Memory, restore the last TM.
. Many import & export options (build to your system / download files)
. Great internal localization service: high quality, very reasonable delivery times and prices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, If I had to say something, I would say that some PRO features, such as TM management (related to the translation management), could maybe be Essential.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved the quality of the translations (because of the image context).
Reduced the translation management time.

Great tool for localisation

  • December 02, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We weren't happy with our old localisation tool and therefore switched to lokalise.io a few years back and it's so much better. It's intuitive and easy to use and the integration is seamless. All the features you would need are there even for more complex projects and processes. Can only recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only improvement suggestion I have is for comments being enabled on translation level per language too, and not just on the key itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for all our localisations of the app and it's an integral part of our product development process.

Swiss army knife of localization

  • November 26, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great UX, ability to create task and track the progress, localisation services integrated.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it is too expensive to access some other cool features like some design plugins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralization of our resources.
Ability to support a new language very quickly.

Great tool - Amazing support

  • November 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise product rock, it is user friendly, with the right amount of complexity and simplicity. It's perfectly build to be use for the most basics reasons but also has the right advanced tools to achieve more complex structure and processes. Customer support is great, they really know their product and have solution to almost anything, they go beyond the sole availabilities of their features and try to think outside the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
Bug fixing turnaround time could be improved. Consistencies across same action being triggered through different streams (UI, API, CSV upload) needs to be improved. Visibility on outstanding bugs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fully integrated localisation medias. From mobile app to pus, website, email, FAQs, backend, ... everything we localise is centralised there and enable us to achieve extremely high efficiency and turnaround time with our translation and product integration.

Lokalise is a brilliant platform and they have been fantastic partners throughout our I18n process.

What do you like best about the product?
Its simple and straight forward with a really nice UI. That also makes it really easy to onboard other stakeholders. It also has a set of features that can support almost any use-case you can think of. Providing translation services and customer success support on top is a big plus and extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The seat limit for a pro version is too low in my opinion and with a company of our size around 100 we very quickly reached the limit and adding multiple extra seats can become expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to facilitate our entire i18n process.

Great content management platform!

  • November 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very user friendly and considers all your needs. If you organise your projects properly, managing your content including various languages will be a stroll. It also provides accurate reports about the time spent on translations by people in your team as well as the translations they do.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot move translated files from one project to another. During a reorganisation/cleanup of our team's Lokalise projects, this would have been very useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we offer our website in 8 different languages it is easy to make sure that all languages are translated and up to date in the CMS thanks to Lokalise.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Following the appointment of Niklas as our new Lokalise account manager, we've seen an increase in communication with Lokalise where our suggestions and demands have been heard and the team are doing everything in their power to accomodate our needs. We definitely won't be looking elsewhere to manage our translations and content.
