Easy to integrate

What do you like best about the product?
It's very comfortable to translate through the backoffice, there are shortcuts that help the translator to be efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature to update the translations without updating the apps is a little bit complex to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Be able to translate our product and keep it update while we are developing new features.

Lokalise makes managing translations a smooth process

What do you like best about the product?
The way it allows us to collaborate as a team. It accommodates most of our work styles.
We made the swap from managing translations in a spreadsheet to Lokalise, and the difference is tremendous both in performance, ease of use, and database maintenance support (ensuring placeholder consistency, language consistency, making it easy to use pseudo-localization in the early stages of design, etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
No tool is perfect - so there can be a few small annoyances that pop up (filters missing a key every now and then, can seem a bit complex to onboard or connectivity issues), but it's nothing that can't be fixed with a refresh or a quick question dropped in the support chat, for which replies are very speedy and on point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing translations for a complex software product in 20 languages, 3 platforms, and across 4 different projects which could otherwise very quickly become overwhelming and a time sync.

Awesome platform for localization

The screenshots feature is very unique and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far so good, nothing to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using lokalise I used to translate my apps strings files with google translate or sending the string files to 3rd party translators. The only problem is that using this method, the translators don't have too much context and the overall experience for the translated app was most of the time bad. I find the screenshot feature genius and if you are a company developing apps, I would totally recommend this platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should definitely go for the Essential plan and integrate the over the air updates for mobile apps development.

Awesome platform, awesome support

What do you like best about the product?
By using Lokalise we no longer have to manually handle the nightmare of having multiple language files with with multiple translators in parallel. We have had so many human errors in our past. Now, we simply invite our translators to the platform and assign tasks to each one of them. Branching, mobile SDKs, and integrations with Bitbucket makes it so easy to deploy the translations to all our platforms without having to sorry about conflicts messing up our translations.

From our translators perspective, having screenshot available with the tasks is the absolute best feature. The design tool plugins (Adobe XD in our case) allows us to generate screenshots early in the development process, in ordet to get translations done fast, and to review the designs in all our target language.

All in all, one of the best investments we have made to upgrade our design, development, and sales process and strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, the price tag for the PRO plan was a bit hard to digest. However, we use volunteers for our translations, and keeping them happy will save us a lot of money in return. Yet, the number of included seats is a bit off compared to our requirements. We're a small company with under 10 target languages. It will take some time for us to get the full value of the 15 included seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing error in handling multiple translations in parallel with multiple people and file versions involved. Less time used on merging files and handling conflicts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get on with it! The earlier the better. We should have done it years ago.

The problem it solves, and how easily it solves it for us.

it introduces tasks that would be outside of your chosen task manager software.

Never forgetting to translate a new string, keeping our one source of truth for text in Lokalise. And having the translation memory helps us a lot as well.

Great string management tool

What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise offers a lot of integrations, enables you to easily write automations to simply update the strings. It is easy to use and to setup and has all necessary functionalities you would expect. I was very impressed about the character limit functionality - this is what you want as a developer when letting people from outside TECH writing and changing your strings for the different components.
The support is also awesome, you receive fast an answer when you have a question regarding sth. And also the documentation is written well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing - you cannot choose a smaller plan for smaller developer teams. The min are 10 seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The great benefit is to have the string in one place and to manage them all in a central place. The string content won't differ in the applications and there is exactly one source of truth regarding strings.

What do you like best about the product?
The "over the air" feature and the fact that it can be integrated to many tools and solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
No true pain point comes into mind ...

We're saving time with the translations management and offer our translators a user friendly experience on the tool.

If you're looking for a user friendly interface, an easy wordings management workflow for your digital solutions and "OTA" translation feature, I recommend you give a try to Lokalise.

Good UI/UX and Helpful Support

What do you like best about the product?
My startup prototyped a localization solution for 11 languages using Lokalise and we found it easy to use yet highly scalable for the future with Github and Figma integration. We liked the UI as it was easy to see the translations and also identified data entry mistakes in our previous solution. We ordered a few batches of translations, which were done within 2 days and seemed to be of good quality thus far. The sales and customer service teams were very friendly, responsive and helpful in answering questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a smaller team, we would have liked to see more flexible pricing options for a fewer number of seats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were manually maintaining copy/text translations using spreadsheets and having an engineer convert the strings to our web/iOS/Android products. Lokalise provides a better "single source of the truth" as well as integration to our apps via Github as well a user-friendly UI. This allows us to better utilize our engineers, provides faster and higher quality translations and fewer data entry errors.
