Lokalise is the platform that just keeps giving
What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise is a fantastic platform that enables many of our clients to connect their diverse IT systems seamlessly to our translation management platform. We thoroughly enjoy our collaboration with Lokalise and often divert new and existing clients in order to facilitate integrations between multiple system types. Their support team is also extremely helpful in the cases of complex technical issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lokalise is a very complete platform, and thus with this comes various levels of complexity. Luckily, we feel fully supported by their support team and dedicated contacts in order to resolve any issues we face. The main negative factor is that we don't always receive a list of changes to the platform which can sometimes negatively impact our API integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise allows us to seamlessly connect to a variety of platforms used by our clients and as a consequence, enables us to provide high-quality translations efficiently, quickly and effectively.
Great "at home" * product.
What do you like best about the product?
At home = one discovers more and more additional features useful for both for digital product developers and translators, while doing basic tasks brilliantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I haven't joined Loaklise yet as Product manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps to speak in client's native language.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organising all our language keys - otherwise we would need to use Excel, which is very inefficient.
Translation services made simple
What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise makes software translation easy for us. Including services under a subscription with straightforward access to human translation services with on-demand orders, which costs are provided before confirming. The on-boarding and support service has been great so far.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, we haven't found any significant issues with the platform. If at all costs may or may not suit your business case, I generally can't flag anything I dislike about using Lokalise services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It covers automated translation services for our software as well as for human translations where required. Also serves as a translation platform for in-house translators.
Easy UX, organized in a great way, love it
What do you like best about the product?
Lokalise is beyond easy to use, from uploading our docs to downloading the translated doc. When we need to search or edit, the UX is seamless. Placing orders is very easy, with no hoops to jump through. If you need help, their CS team is quick and great to work with. The integration with Intercom makes updating and creating articles easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. For what I'm using it for, it works perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a multilingual audience for help desk articles, marketing collateral, marketing and transactional emails, and business collateral. Lokalise helps us provide easy-to-understand materials to every single one of our users which helps us convert and keep our current users happy.
Scaling your app to different language-groups can be really simple.
What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive UI. The support team is also very helpful. Filtering by 'unverified' helps. Taking some burden off the developers' shoulders and preparing the copies by less 'technical' people is making the cooperation smoother. I like highlighting the markup symbols because this is what breaks often times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can not filter for the keys that have all the entries empty (or it is not very intuitive/exposed on the UI). I am missing a feature that would help me with finding the keys that were not used in recent builds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of hard-coding pieces of text and leaves space for tokenising some labels/copies so insightful tooltips can be displayed, for instance. I can create one copy and ask both Android and iOS devs to use it instead of repeating the work.
Great localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
I find the translation memory to be very handy. Before adopting Lokalise, our company used to simply use excel sheets to manage all the translation tasks and it was less than ideal. The lack of translation memory meant that the same concept might have been translated into several different versions and all of them probably coexisted somewhere in our UI, which is a nightmare for a language-learning company. In addition, several different localizers have been working on the same project throughout the past 9 years or so, which of course also added to the complexity of the matter. Having a functional translation memory basically enables us to audit all our strings and find all of the potential problems before receiving any complaints from our users. A total game changer!
What do you dislike about the product?
The format insertion symbols can be confusing at times. When there are multiple different formats within one sentence, it can be very confusing in terms of where to insert which one, especially if I'm doing simplified Chinese since the grammar is totally different and the word order is usually also very different. It's not intuitive to find the exact equivalence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lokalise helps me organise all my translation tasks. I used to receive all the different tasks with subtasks from Jira, and it was highly confusing in terms of how many active tasks I had and the priority of those different tasks was mostly unclear. There was no overview of the size of any specific task either, so the whole thing was a mess.
fast and convenient way to localize your application
What do you like best about the product?
Automatic translations and automation of uploading and downloading keys to git.Flexibility and simplicity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes downloading git updates does not remove unused keys. Fix cleaning mode when loading keys from git. More different formats and plurals can be added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, Lokalise allows you to quickly create a localized product with minimal effort and with a well thought out flow. Yes, we no longer worry about our localization

It's hard to understand the purpose of all the settings, like tags. I also didn't figure out yet how to prepare the JSON files for the upload

It might be a bit more customizable, but support is taking feature requests and passing them to developers, so I think it might improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is helping to translate our apps into other languages; the benefit is clear - more markets share to take.
