    Insurance

Still #1 in security

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Check Point ever since they came out a long time ago. They are still the best as far as configuration and setting up rules and policies. The GUI web interface has always been easy to configure and understand the logic behind the GUI design.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing has gone up over the years. Companies like Palto Alto are just as equivalent and they seem to offer better pricing. As far as email filtering, GFI has the email security and they seem to offer better pricing as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are constantly getting spam emails and with the thread of phishing and viruses from emails, Check Point is able to block and stop these threats before they enter our production environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy setup and implementation. They are the leader in security since they have been in the market for a long time. There are a ton of resources and articles out on the Internet if you run into any issues/questions.

Proactive security

What do you like best about the product?
I especially like that Avanan integrates directly with G Suite and Office 365, rather than functioning as a gateway. This is great since customers don't need to change MX records as they would with a traditional email gateway solution, and prevents associated mail delivery issues.

Unlike the legacy solutions that we're used to, Avanan provides a large amount of visibility into threats/possible threats from a centralized interface and provides SSO for users, so no need to manage separate accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Avanan's out-of-the-box configuration can be a bit over the top as far as alerts as notifications, but these can be tuned as needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Avanan gives us a solution that's easier to maintain and deploy than older security solutions solutions. Additionally, its ability to integrate with user accounts directly via API allows it to be more flexible in its filtering and alerts since it can act at any time if a virus is detected, rather than just upon email send/receive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to go through the configuration options upon roll-out since the out-of-the-box settings can be somewhat strict and may cause messages to unexpectedly go to quarantine.
