Avanan is a Must Have
What do you like best about the product?
Avanan was easy to implement, it's easy to maintain, very reasonably priced, and works great. I cringe every time I look at our portal to see how many phishing and scam emails that had been getting through to our end users when we relied only on O365 security. Their sales and support teams have been phenomenal to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we didn't know about Avanan sooner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting our end users from malicious emails and phishing attacks.

It's a must have tool. You will be happy with the service and the support.

Simple install. No redirect of your MX.

Blocks some emails that are not phishing and don't contain malware

Keeps out phishing and malware.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the variety of services one can potentially enable to elevate the security. I also like how often the team is working on improving the dashboard by bringing in new tools to help us, the customer, stay safe.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say that I dislike Avanan at all. Once you learn the details of its workings it is easy to use and works as described.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving phishing issues. Avanan is able to dramatically reduce the amount of Phishing email that our users receive and has helped us determine the amount of sensitive information that goes over our network via their DLP service so that we can put measures in place to reduce risks. Avanan is also able to help us determine if there have been accounts signed in from outside of the US which would most likely be due to an account break-in. Thankfully all the ones that Avanan has caught were legitimate in the sense that our users were the ones logging outside of the country.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would look into Avanan for Anti-phishing and Malware detection on emails. This is really a good product to reduce those coming into user mailboxes. In addition, Avanan does provide tools to help prevent security attacks like URL checking and email impersonation detection which comes in handy.
All Around Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a single place to login and manage your email security and does a better job than Microsoft stopping threats. It is also easier to navigate than Microsofts tools. The easy ability to search your organization for an email that made it through and quarantine it from all mailboxes without having to use powershell is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a simple and easy tool there really isn't anything to dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Data Loss Prevention section makes it easier to manage your sensitive data by blocking or encrypting email messages automatically.

If you're looking for an anti-phishing and suspicious activity tracing platform, look no further!
What do you like best about the product?
My initial impression with Avanan was fantastic as I was able to get fully provisioned on their platform within 24 hours. We first started with a trial/POC that gave us insight on how the service would work; we decided to initially go with the service for a year. We have been very pleased with the results. The service detects virtually all phishing attempts and quarantines the email. We set up several policies in an intuitive manner to deal with certain types of email. We also have the ability to get alerted on anamolies that Avanan detects as well as being able to delete a particular email out of all mailboxes.
But those outstanding features take a backseat to their support team. I measure a company's competency and confidence in their product by how good their support team is, and I have to say they are amazing. They respond to my initial inquiry within a few hours typically; their support team is very knowledgeable and kind and willing to explain what process they are going through to resolve an issue. You can have every confidence that if there is an issue on the platform or a particular licensed feature you want to configure, the Avanan team will get you up and running quickly and professionally.
But those outstanding features take a backseat to their support team. What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really comes to mind. There are very rare instances where I will get a phishing email that bypasses their engine, but after reporting it to Avanan's support team, they submit these particular emails into their algorithm to prevent those emails from rearing their ugly heads again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had an ongoing issue with phishing emails bypassing Office 365 filters and transport rules and a number of our staff would click on these phishing emails and subsequently have their accounts compromised. This has been virtually eradicated since we have been on the Avanan platform. With so many platforms to deal with, we're happy that anti-phishing has become almost a set it and forget it process.

If you're having issues with phishing mail and would also like insight into suspicious login activity, look no further than Avanan.

Initial deployment is very well documented and easy to implement

Nothing at this moment as CloudGuard SaaS benefits provide increases security for SaaS applications
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Increased security for SaaS applications. One of the main benefits was CloudGuard SaaS ease of use and deployment is smooth.
AVANAN - the defender of our mailbox
What do you like best about the product?
As a Systems Engineer, I don't have time to weed out all of my spam emails. With AVANAN, I have more time to work on the important things the company needs from me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints, other than the one time I needed the admin to push an email through to me that was getting blocked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I stated above, I really like that AVANAN helps me regain control of my time as I spend less time going through SPAM each and every day!! With less spam, also comes less chances of be getting my account compromised. I also see the benefit of the company as a whole! Less tech support calls about suspicious emails. AVANAN does all that work for you!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are still deciding whether it is a replacement of MS ATP, the answer is Simple -- YES!!!
