If you worry about phishing email, then Avanan is the solution you're looking for.
What do you like best about the product?
It does exactly what it's supposed to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've been complaining about the interface for a long time - but on the positive side you can pretty well just set it up and let it run (without much UI interaction).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Phishing email used to worry me... now I can focus on other tasks.

A truly next generation email security solution
What do you like best about the product?
Easy of use, good protection, excellent support, very east implementation, ability to expend without any problem and no unlike alot of other solutions there is no problems with adding alot of tenants/domains, no support is needed in any of those stanges of implementation, the solution also provides excellent mail flow exploration with lots of easy-to-see and use alerts and information at each dashboard.
also the support is very fast responds and easy to communicate, email/ticket/phone everything is ok unlike some other solutions who like to limmit the support channles to something. from the client and/or enduser side of things the serivce is very good, it provides all information to the end user ( when configured correctly ) with detailed logs on why was the email blocked and a small explnantion about what is phishing/virus etc.
also there is an option that the enduser can request a release of the email by him self and us the administrator recive all the information about this request and one-button release option.

What do you dislike about the product?
For some peple this maybe be a dislike but on ourside of things this is a great thing, no effect on MX. this means you dont need to access your domain and configure the MX to point to the correct server. the main dislike we had with the system if a part of the automation that we had some problems with due our office 365 restrictions (Geo locations restrictions), the support provided a solution and implmnted a way to easy those things in the upcoming releases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our main consern while choosing an email security solution was the following things: security, easy-of-use for end user, and option to expand. the Avanan solution provided all of those in a smiple matter that takes the hard times of configuring things ourselfs, the service will integrate to office 365,gsuite by it self after providing an administrator credentials, all the rules will be created and all things will be whitelisted. this will take less then 15minutes to configure and less then an hour to be in effect and safely protect the emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your email security solution and think forward a few years from now. Will you still be happy with it? Will you be able to grow as a company or another way around without any money loss/downtime or other not-so-good things? In Avanan, those things are easy and are just a few clicks away. Top-notch security with a lot of customization and the option to do things differently.
Overall Avanan is a great tool to have in your company!

The simplicity and ease of viewing and configuring evrything are, from my point of view, the best thing to have.

The DLP and the dashboard need a new improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We stopped many phishing attacks. And since we have this tool, the users have the notifications from Avanan, and they are more active in mail security.

Product drops in, works straight out of the box without any configuration. send documentation to end users and off we went. Super easy and highly effective.

Lack of quarantine reports

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customers now understand the difference between regular spam protection and phish protection. Now they see the need and that we can solve it rather than being a lack of skill on our end to stop emails.

Great Product

Ease of use and deployment. The cost is well worth the value recieved

It could have more feature updates more often but regardless is an excellent suite of tools

Our company has resolved issues with email security and attempts at 3rd parties obtaining private information

There are many options on the market for cloud email security, but Avanan is the best choice. It's priced right, it deploys easily, the support team is great, and it uses good technology to solve problems for your business.

It catches just about everything that Microsoft ATP lets through - which is a LOT.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is a bit clumsy and unintuitive, but you get used to it. I wish the product worked in real-time, but that is a minor concern.

The spam/phishing filtering alone has had a tremendous impact. Our users no longer spend a significant portion of their day sifting through email noise to get to essential communications.

Ease of Use and it's ability to catch items that are missed by other email security vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The prodcut has just worked as expected so I have so far found nothing I can complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protecting end users from malicious email. From day one we started catching phishing emails that our other provider allowed through and all whil having very few false positives.

Demo Avanan while demoing other security email gateway vendors to see what they miss and Avanan catches.
Avanan makes all other email security products seem like they're decades behind.
What do you like best about the product?
Initially, it was the setup. Drop it into Exchange online as a M365 application, and you're done. It literally took us less than 5mins to integrate into our environment. Now that we've been using it for almost 3yrs, the manageability is what's got me hooked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the most recent graphical updates to the main site have been a little buggy vs. what I was used to using over the past 2yrs. It seemed to be a major overhaul to their user interface and I'm already seeing some of these minor issues being resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've had a problem with phishing attacks and although implementing MFA was on our radar, Avanan was the first security layer we laid down. Now, with the combination of MFA and Avanan's AI, we're putting our foot in the rear of malicious phishing emails before they hit our end user's inbox.

Very easy to maintain, not very time consuming once the machine learning algorithm has worked its magic.

Unable to clear out restore requests once you have declined an email
Not as many decline options as I would like - a nice feature would be allowing to provide a message to the user why the email was declined.
