Streamlines Compliance, Perfect for Startups
What do you like best about the product?
I have really appreciated how Vanta has made setting up and managing compliance straightforward for our small team of employees, despite lacking a dedicated compliance department. The setup process out of the box is incredibly user-friendly and adaptable to any organization, providing a significant advantage in getting 95% of the way towards compliance effortlessly. Vanta's tool allows us to manage compliance efficiently without requiring a chief compliance officer or an in-house legal team, which is cost-effective and vital for a small startup like ours. It's streamlined our processes, saving us time and creating greater efficiencies in handling compliance-related tasks, which are often arduous when done manually. We've also benefited from the streamlined security review and access request processes, which are well-developed and assist in tracking system access within the company. Furthermore, Vanta's value per dollar is outstanding, as it effectively eliminates the need for an entire compliance department, making it an incredible and integral tool for us. The customer service is timely and responsive, with a willingness to jump on calls to solve problems, and they make sure to provide options and discounts, which I find honest and straightforward. Overall, Vanta not only stands out as the best compliance tool I've used but also comes highly recommended by our leadership team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would probably change the initial onboarding and maybe funnel customers into a more directed onboarding based on their industry. Determining who has access to what is a very tricky area, and there's room for improvement in the access section to make it clearer. Also, the use of integrations and its expansion is a topic Vanta understands, but there's always room for more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Vanta to manage compliance efficiently with a small team, eliminating the need for a dedicated compliance department. It streamlines complex tasks, like security reviews, saving time and boosting efficiency without manual errors.

What do you like best about the product?
The amoun of integrations offered with other tooling makes Vanta a valuable and time saving complaince offering

Issues with the Workspace One integration have caused us to rely on the Vanta agent only for reporting

Vanta is providing us a time saving compliance offering to allow audits to not drag down our resources internally

Doing our complicance without Vanta would have been a nightmare, and I'm sure we would have missed things.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI doesn't always immediately update so it can be a bit confusing whether you've checked something off or not.

Great Tool to Aid in SOC2 Type 2
What do you like best about the product?
The document templates have helped out a lot. We are getting our organization up and running so we didn't have a lot of the documents needed.

Sometimes the UI is a little confusing but with a little time you figure it out.

We are trying to achieve SOC2 Type 2 compliance. Our company has tasked a small group of us and given us a smallish budget to do so which means we have to do it ourselves. Vanta helps walk us through all the items needed to achieve compliance

As a CISO I appreciate Vanta’s trust management platform for its continuous automation of security and compliance processes, reducing manual workload and allowing focus on strategic initiatives. The platform’s real-time monitoring, streamlined audits, and scalability ensure that compliance is maintained efficiently as the organization grows. Additionally, Vanta’s team was always available to help us through the learning required to use the platform effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta has hundreds of integrations that allow for automated continuous compliance. Though even with the broad range available there were a few tools that we use that were not covered by existing integrations.

Excellent for Risk & Compliance Projects
What do you like best about the product?
I love the multi-dimensional mapping / points of views that Vanta supports. I've found it so much easier to evidence a common set of controls and how these controls meet the requirements of multiple different frameworks, internal audits, external audits, regulatory obligations, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a few minor tweaks:
- Easier upload of custom frameworks (so that the numbering of the sub sections displays in correct ascending order)
- Ability to change the approval request/approval refresh date for Documents (policies) stored in the platform

The automated scans were fantastic and the guidance on how to address certain tasks and automated scans was wuper useful!

I would like to see additional resource scans added in the future, but overall great experience!

What do you like best about the product?
Vanta helped us see which part needed to be actioned on when, which helped cut down time spent getting certified by a big amount. Vanta's tight infrastructure (and other automated) integrations are huge time-savers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not always super clear from a user perspective what some tools do. For example the Vanta Agent monitors company issued computers, but what information is queried? And what is this information used for? It's not always clear.

Be on top of certification and ensuring we're covering enough ground for our IT security.
