SOC2 Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The prompts are easy to follow - and while compliance is always time consuming, Vanta has an easy path to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most programs, there are no options to outsource the leg work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC2 Compliance - allowing us to lock down our security and take on larger customers!
Vanta has delivered what they said it would
What do you like best about the product?
The guided workflow and pre-built policies and assets helped us setup and document our SOC2 program in 4 weeks. During the sales process they outlined exactly what we should expect and how we could achieve this timeline and the company and the solution delivered for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't have integrations to our ADP HR system yet so that is the only gap we have found so far. I also think the email notification workflow could be more robust but neither of these have caused us issues or delays.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Vanta to achieve and maintain SOC2 Compliance. It provided the setup, policies and ongoing compliance monitoring for SOC 2 for our company. It was a well managed process for us.
Vanta helps make SOC 2 easy
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy user interface to work with. There's a ton of templates built in that help us get documentation ready for our Type 1 audit. And the CSM/auditors are knowledgable about both the process and platform to answer all questions we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not all that much. There's a lot of requirements to SOC 2 which is a pain to deal with, but that's not on Vanta.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is getting us SOC 2 compliant - this allows us to have a higher level of data security for our customer data, which opens more doors for the company on potential customers.

Compliance can be daunting and tedious. Vanta has made the process accessible and streamlined.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is a bit high for a small company.

Vanta for Compliance Needs
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Vanta is that a dashboard shows you how what percentage you are compliant with each of the different standards and you work towards one of the security standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site takes a bit of navigating but it just takes a little bit of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can work towards getting ISO 27001 certified without having to hire a dedicated team of people to work on getting this certification. Vanta templates make it easy for any first time company getting certified.
A straightforward path to SOC II compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Taking the guesswork out of SOC II compliance, Vanta maps framework requirements to commonsense controls and policies. A growing number of integrations automate monitoring and evidence collection, eliminating busy work and improving our real-world security posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited ability to customize integrations and correct (rare) errors can complicate real-time monitoring and alerts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta facilities our SOC II and HIPAA compliance, provides security monitoring, and supports vendor management.
Excellent platform with even better customer service
What do you like best about the product?
Working with vanta has been excellent. From the beginning of the process we have had twice monthly meetings to discuss progress and next steps, with the ability to skip or add meetings as needed

Some of the automated tests are a bit stricter than I may prefer, but that's also something that could be required by the auditors for SOC 2.

Vanta helps us automate compliance checks and keep up to date as we on-board employees
Vanta has made SOC-2 super easy
What do you like best about the product?
Automated controls for everything have been a lifesaver. I only need to worry about it when the Vanta bot tells me something needs to be updated. Saves so much time and makes the audit a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI used to be simple but it's getting a little bit clunky and hard to navigate now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta makes going through SOC-2 audit really easy. The auditors can get direct access to your Vanta instance so it keeps everything in one place nicely.
Good product with easy onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I compared several tools prior to purchasing Vanta.
I really believe the UX is much simpler to use then the competitors. The way it's structured and organized just makes sense to me.
Furthermore I like ease of use and integration into our eco system.
The onboarding team has also been very proactive and helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this time. The product works just as advertised. No surprises
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to get ISO, SOC and GDPR compliant in a structured and quick fashion without paying for expensive consultants.
Excellent end-to-end solution, but work needs to be done
What do you like best about the product?
The upside of Vanta is that it's relatively easy to use, which makes compliance much more organized than we had before using Vanta. It gives us a bird's eye view of all tasks that require attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things can be confusing, it's hard to determine which tab to click in the portal, and it's sometimes challenging to delegate specific tasks to people and even designate someone as a person or a non-person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is the go-to solution for compliance. It's helping us to a) follow the rules of the road in regard to legal questions, but also b) to build trust between us and our clients.
