Vanta app is well organized and purposeful
What do you like best about the product?
This app organizes your tests and documents in a user friedly interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The team could be more informative for portal changes. Typical of many SaaS apps, changes to look and feel happen often without notice and it can take a minute to find where things have been moved to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SOC 2 compliance and audits
Vanta really streamlined the preparation for our security audit.
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta provides complete direction on security audit requirements and best practices and how to stay up to date on our compliance post audit. It's a rather intuitive platform and relatively easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The occasional platform glitches. Virtual support with account manager is often rushed as to not surpase the alloted 30 minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's assitsed our company in achieving our SOC 2 certification.
Using Vanta in a Small Startup
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta gave us the template to go from 0 to certified. In a small startup, I was the sole person responsible for getting us certified, and with the help of the platform, we were able to get certified in about 5 months - from Day 1 to certification. Really helpful platform. Very easy to integrate all our vendors, and have tests run automatically, especially the vulnerability scanning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be challenging to navigate the entire list of all controls/policies and documents, but this is a minor gripe.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta helps us keep our arms around compliance without having an entire staff/team member solely dedicated to it.
Makes SOC 2 a breeze

Centralizes all your compliance tests and tells you what you need to do to rectify any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some integrations are much more difficult to setup than others

We need to be SOC2 compliant to meet our customer expectations and Vanta helped us achieve that quickly.

There is certainly a learning curve, but it is not huge. The support team is responsive and the integration works well.

New requested integrations are very slow to get done and no status updates are given.

Some of the integrations with Vanta didn't worked as espected.

We need to obtain our SOC2 Type II certification!
Excellent time-saving platform for automated compliance!
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta has saved us a significant amount of time by automating our systems and operational compliance. The guides and checklists made it really easy to setup. On the few occassions that we have needed support, it has always been quick and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform cost is a bit expensive. But with that said, we receive significant value from the platform so ultimately it is worth it.

Initially, we implemented Vanta to assist with SOC2 compliance. Now we are using it as a way to automate a variety of our operational and security processes.

it's streamlining what would have been a daunting project for us. I see how benifical this tool is for a small team that doesn't have the time and resources to comply all required evidence, policies and procedures.

I find Vanta to be a reliable tool for GRC management which I've been using seamlessly for three years. The setup process was straightforward, making it easy to integrate into my workflow. One of the standout features for me is the automation capabilities it offers, which streamline various tasks and improve efficiency. Vanta also provides valuable insights by displaying the percentage of compliance, which is crucial for managing audits effectively. The product’s ability to integrate with different tools further enhances its utility by enabling automated tasks. I appreciate the familiarity and understanding I have developed with Vanta over time, which assures me of its functionality and effectiveness. Additionally, my high likelihood of recommending Vanta, rated as a nine out of ten, reflects my overall satisfaction with its service.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that navigating the menus in Vanta can sometimes be confusing. The way they are structured makes it difficult to find certain options easily. While it's not a deal-breaker, it adds a bit of friction to the overall user experience.

I use Vanta for GRC management, automating tasks and checking compliance percentages, which benefits our audit processes. Integrations with other tools streamline our work.

Using Vanta means that you still need to do a lot of manual work (write policies for example).
If your budget afford it - go for a consultant that will take of the entire process for you (including writing policies..).
